Chapter 10

The training grounds were located near the Hokage building . Even so kakashi took more than thirty minutes to arrive there .

" I cannot think any proper excuse to convince that stubborn old man !! "

kakashi could only shake his head in helplessness when he thought about hokage.

He knew that a long lecture about will of fire was awiting him ..

kakashi greeted the Akimichi ninja who was the guard of Hokage building with a small smile and went inside . He could sense many anbu guarding various rooms in the building in shadows .

He simply ignored all the other rooms and quickly arrived outside Hokage's study room.

Just when he was about to knock on the door, a deep voice COME IN sounded from inside the room and who could it belong to except Hokage ?

Kakashi had good relationship like that of a parent and son with Hokage now after interacting almost daily for past 4 years . So he did not hesitate and opened the door rudely with a BANG and said in a slightly loud voice OLD MAN !!

Hokage was reading the contents of an old scroll seriously . He did not even bother getting angry at rudeness of Kakashi as their relationship was too good now . He was angry because just a few minutes ago Minato came and reported everything to him .

Well I knew that Kakashi would have some problems in getting along with his teammates with his cool and mature attitude but I did not except him to not even last one full day . Hokage thought .

He carefully closed the old scroll and stored it in the small bookshelf along with other books before looking at Kakashi with stern gaze .

" Brat , Minato told me everything. So you want to join anbu? Just tell the truth that you are just too lazy to interact with OBITO ! " Hokage said but sounded helpless in the end.

Kakashi replied with a small nod and did not say anything but inwardly he was cursing the fact that he forgot about that insolent FLYING THUNDER GOD jutsu . He spent so much time on thinking perfect excuse to convince Hokage but it got wasted now .

" Old man , I dont want to join any genin team so choose another job for me . You know me well and I fully trust you . " Kakashi decided to go straight as excuses at this point were useless .

Hokage was a man with experience so after looking at Kakashi's focused eyes , he knew that Kakashi wont be going back to the genin team anymore .

" sigh.. okay then , I will accept your request to join anbu but remember that first you have to pass various tests ! "

Hokage was helpless so he had no choice but to agree as he could not let such a talent like Kakashi go to waste . This was war time and Hokage knew that he had to nurture young talent well even though he loathed his powerlessness as he had to force children to join bloody battles .

Hokage then explained Kakashi about the process to become an official anbu .

First he had to start from anbu trainee and learn various skills like elementary seals , lockpicking , information gathering etc and most of all various ninjutsu to cope with most of the unexpected situations when out for missions .

He would placed under an ambu captain and one test would be held after 6 months usually where an anbu trainee had to impress the captain to pass and become an official anbu under him . But during emergency times like war village did not have such leisure time like six months so Kakashi would be expected to pass the test in at most one month from now.

Hearing this Kakashi had no change in expression outside but inwardly he was laughing because he had already learnt too many jutsu and for some special skills , he just needed to read their scrolls to instan master them.

" ahem ! then who would be my captain , old man ? "

Kakashi was most concerned about this matter because depending on the person who was to become his captain , he could slack off or spend some extra time outside while on missions .

" You are lucky because all the anbu captain class are out for missions . So I will let my student Jiraya handle everything! That brat has been lurking in the hot springs district all the time these days and I'm really getting annoyed by his perverted actions. "

Hokage said in a slightly depressing tone but Kakashi was happy because Jiraya had super spy network in future and most importantly with his carefree personality, Kakashi would have lot of free time in future...
