Chapter 16: Fiancee

Back at Adrianna's apartment.

"Really? What a bitch…luckily you found out before you married him…" Alicia exclaimed.

To be honest, she don't really like Nancy. She has a feeling that Adrianna's step sister was fake. Don't mention about Jace. She was disgusted at him for always using Adrianna's name to create hype about himself. If he wasn't engaged to Adrianna, he would be nothing but a broke middle class man. Adrianna's dad gave him a job at his company and he even gave Adrianna's hand for him to get married to. He sure was lucky but not anymore.

"Ri…did you know who did you saved today?" suddenly Alicia changed the topic.

"Liam Lockwood?!" Adrianna asked back then she saw Alicia cocked her eyebrows. "Was I supposed to know more?"

"Oh my god! Adrianna Belle Winters. You don't know who Liam Lockwood is? Wow, this is the first!" Alicia faced palm dramatically.

"Why? Is he that famous?"

Alicia nodded her head dreamily. "Not only famous but rich too. Last year he was awarded as the top CEO and to make it more awesome, he is extremely hot and sexy…you should see his photoshoot in the…"

"I am tired." Adrianna stopped Alicia from continue talking about the man.

"You are no fun…" Alicia smirked as she saw Adrianna laid down on her pillow.

Adrianna smiled listening to Alicia complaint and she closed her eyes.

"If my dad call me, tell him that I need to sleep because I have an important show tomorrow." Adrianna mumbled.

If a normal people being cheated on by their fiancée, they would be heartbroken but it was different for Adrianna Winters. She was relieved because at least, finally she's going to be free from him.

Of course, she felt bitter too because someone she trusted stab her in the back, if Nancy really like Jace. Adrianna would give him to her for free but she's choosing the hard way and of course Adrianna's going to use a hard way too in handling cheaters and backstabbers. This is Adrianna Belle Winters.

Liam opened his eyes and looked at the surrounding. He remembered that he was inside his car coming back home after a meeting with his client and their car was hit by a car from the opposite.

"Liam…how are you feelings?" he heard his mother's voice.

"W-water?" his throat was parched too. Linda gave him a sip of water and helped him to get up.

"How was Andrew?" he asked about his driver.

"Andrew was fine but you are not, your got concussion on your head, broke your ribs and your broken ribs almost crushed your lungs…" Linda sighed in relief. At least, he woke up now. It has been 12 hours since the accident. She was informed that Liam went into the hemorrhage inside the OR and they need extra blood and luckily Miss Winters was there at that time.

"Bro…about time…" Kyle, his best friend as well as his personal assistant emerged into the room carrying a bouquet of Lily.

Liam looked at the flower. "What am I? A woman?" he scoffed.

"Hey don't underestimate flowers…it wasn't only for women…" Andrew put the flower into the vase near him.

Linda turned to look at Kyle. "So did you managed to find her address?" she asked him. She asked Kyle to look into Adrianna's information because she wanted to pay her a visit with Liam later. She wanted to thank the girl once again.

Kyle grinned as he showed her his phone. Linda raised her brows, nevertheless, she still looked at his phone.

"What address? What are you guys talking about?" Liam was confused.

"Your fiancée!" Kyle whispered jokingly.

"My what?" Liam was surprised and he grimaced as his sudden outburst made his chest hurt and his mom quickly attended to him. Linda turned to look at Kyle and pinched his arm.

"I asked Kyle to search for this girl's information" Then, she showed Liam the phone.

He looked at the screen and was confused because all he could see was a model walking on the runway. He gave the phone back to Kyle.

"What about this model? Is she the one that drunk drive and crashed into my car?" he asked.

"Of course not, this woman was the one that signed the consent form and donated her blood for you when you were in the OR…"

"Why would she do that? I don't even know her…"

"Hey bro bro…how come you don't know her, this is Adrianna Winters…we are talking about Adrianna Winters."

"Adrianna Winters?" it seems like he has heard that name before he don't know where.

"You are so clueless when we are talking about woman. This Adrianna Winters is a famous supermodel, to be exact, she's the heir of Winters Corporation.

Liam's brows scrunched together. He was aware of Winters Corporation since he worked with them a few times but he did not know that the heir is actually a woman.

"So why is she donating her blood for me if she's not the driver?"

"She was confused too. It seemed like, the hospital make a mistake to call Adrianna and telling her that her fiancée was involved in an accident. It was because, someone saw Jace Philips name card inside your pocket and thought it was your name. Jace Philips from Winters Corporation is well known as Adrianna Winters fiancée, that's why they make the mistake. You should see her face when she was worried about you, damn that woman was so fine but how unlucky for her to be engaged to such a man."

"Yes, the one we saw at the restaurant before your accident. He gave you his name card and you saw him kissing his 'secretary'…" Kyle grimaced. Poor Adrianna. The man was cheating on her. Did she know that?

Liam listened to Kyle's story and it seemed like he understood the whole of it. It was a mistake but it didn't erase the fact that she was the one who signed the consent form for his operation and donated her blood for him and he was thankful for that. But the idea of her fiancée Jace Philip cheating on her somehow made his stomach grumbled with uneasiness. Why? It wasn't his concern. Ah, it could be he pity her since he was indebted to her 'bloodly?!' Was it even a word?

"Reward her…" that one sentence finally emerged from his lips. His mother who was peeling fruits for him raised her brows.

On the other hand, Kyle almost laughed at that sentence. "Bro, how are you going to reward her? She's a billionaire herself, her company's last year falls into top 3, just 2 spots below yours and she's a famous supermodel too, she lacks nothing."

"Arrange for a lunch meeting between me and her."

"Bro, she has a fiancée..." Who cheated on her. Kyle added in his mind.

"I just want to thank her…" Liam cut Kyle words.

"Hmm…I have a better idea for helping her" Kyle smirked and Liam and Linda looked at him with questions.

Adrianna slumped onto her chair right after she took off her last outfit for the day. She was clad only in her undergarments and it wasn't a problem since this waiting room was exclusively for her only.

She massaged her calf slowly. Her feet was hurting too for wearing different kind of heels. Don't get her wrong. She loves high heels but sometimes, for the sake of her show, she had to wear uncomfortable heels. They may looked unique or pretty in the eyes of others but for the wearers, it is like a moment of pain to endure until they finished the catwalk.

"Ri…we have an after party after this, do you want to join?" Alicia asked as she entered the room bringing another outfit for after party.

It wasn't an obligation for her to join. Sometimes if she feels like going home, she will go straight after her show and the person that she worked with already aware of her actions and they don't mind at all.

"Bring me my phone..." she uttered and Alicia quickly brought her phones. "Did my father call?" she asked.

Alicia nodded her head and Adrianna sighed before she unlocked her phone to look at something.

"What did he say?" she asked.

"He wanted you to go back home and discuss?" Alicia mentioned.

'Discuss?! What are they going to discuss?' Adrianna didn't say anything as she continued reading something on her phone. Alicia peeked at her phone and she smiled. Serves him right!

Adrianna already aware of the articles that emerged right before her show this morning. She didn't know who leaked the story about Jace's cheating on her but she was thankful for that. At least her father was aware who the real Jace Philip was except he didn't know that the mistress was no other than his step daughter.

If she opened one of the article, there were lots of comments that cursing Jace for cheating on her. The article has gained more than one million views and still rising. She wondered how Jace is going to counter attack after receiving the backlash from public especially from her fans.

Then, right on time, she saw Jace's number calling her. Wanted to know what he wanted to say, she press the green button to answer the call.

"You Bitch! Finally you answer my call..it was your work right? You did all this because I said I was in love with Nancy!" Jace kept cursing at her the moment she answered the call but Adrianna was yawning. As expected His counter attack was weak. What a coward!

"Are you done? I am busy" she pressed the red button and ended the call right away. Alicia tried to stifle her laughter. Adrianna was such a bad ass female.

"So, are you going?" Alicia asked once again.

"With the current blow up of the article, I prefer to go home, I should act as if I was heartbroken to convince the public what a manwhore my ex-fiancee was"

"Alright! your outfit is ready and I'll let the driver know, we will go out through the back door." Adrianna stood up to go into the changing room

"Ali…do you know who published the article?" Adrianna suddenly asked before she went into the changing room.

"Do you want me to check?" Alicia asked her back.

"Never mind" Adrianna made a bee line into the changing room.

Liam just finished eating his lunch when Kyle get into the ward.

"When can I go home?" he asked. He has lots of work to do and being trapped inside the ward wasn't his forte. His mother forbid him from doing his work but he has his phone that Kyle sneak in without his mother's permission.

"The doctor said you have to stay here for another three days for observation…" Kyle spoke.

"Relax bro, it wasn't that bad…I'll sneak in your laptop too if you want but please, just stay here for another three days, I don't want to get on the bad side of your mom if you keep doing this"

"Fine…so how was the article going?"

"It was a blow up actually. Even after 24hours, the article was still trending at number one"

"Good! make sure, it's still trending. How was she?"

"Adrianna? She had a show today and she didn't attend the after party so the press couldn't get her statement but we couldn't make up whether she was heartbroken or not since she's unpredictable, if she feels like joining the after party, she would go, if not she will go home straight"

"Hmm…I need to see her after I left the hospital, make sure you made my appointment with her." Liam reminded Kyle once again.

"Ahhh…now I understand why you wanted to leave the hospital early, is it because you can't wait to meet her? Your savior?"

"Shut up!!" Liam threw his pillow at Kyle but he didn't deny that. Yes, he can't wait to meet her actually. His savior and damsel in distress.
