"The search for oil led to an amazing discovery."

At the end of 2020, during satellite exploration of oil fields in the Norwegian region of Rogaland. The tomb was discovered by accident.

The tomb probably dates from the 9th century. It is a rare ship burial. A group of archaeologists from the University of Oslo, led by Professor Larson, was sent to the site. After careful analysis and entry into the tomb, the theory was put forward that Ulf Erikson might be buried in it.

Although the very figure of Ulf Erikson does not need to be reminded to our readers, his half-legendary, half-historical achievements are the subject of many historical debates, it is worth mentioning his children.

Yrsa Storråda (Proud), the eldest daughter of Ulf Erikson, who, according to historical records, in 804 became the wife of the king of obodrites, Sławomir. During her wedding night, she killed her husband and, with the help of her father's army, forced the local tribes to obey. Thanks to this, an alliance of the north and the east was created, which for a long time resisted Christianization.

Revna Coal Brow, who received the largest European slave market in Dublin and along with the entire city from her father as a wedding gift. She has led many raids on the Kingdoms of England and Spain.

Between 799 and 805, when Ulf Erikson was conquering Scandinavia, many people were looking for a new place to live. A group of refugees from Denmark discovered Iceland and settled there. When everything seemed to be going in the right direction and people found a new place to live. One of Ulf Erikson's younger sons, Bjorn the Red in 820 seized power in Iceland.

His descendants sat on several European thrones, whether through marriage or conquest. Though the dynasties began to decline over time, they had a tremendous impact on the history of Europe.
