3 Huffs and Moans

Dressed in a black suit with a tie as crimson as her eyes, Rin appeared like a different person, especially with her hair neatly braided behind her. Then there were the other three, Maiko the elven witch, Cinder the fire slime-girl, and Senya the violet-skinned demon.

Coincidently, being the eldest of them all, Maiko was leading them downstairs as if she were their leader. Her emerald gaze remained locked on me as she descended, but the supple bounce of her bosom had me slightly distracted.

'A witch as a chef…Doesn't sound too good.' It was a recipe for trouble, but I had no control over the matter just yet. Turning my attention to Cinder and Senya, I had no clue what to make of them. One was a charming-looking woman with flaming hair, and deep amber eyes, and the other was a demon with a pair of dark horns emerging from her head. 'And yet they look so human? I thought monsters would look a lot scarier.'

Perhaps I assumed too much, or it was just human of me to attribute the worst to anything or anyone who looked different. Either way, I needed to open my heart and mind if I wanted to help bridge trust between the species.

"Alright, enough standing!" Ophelia, the navy-suited overseer exclaimed. Stomping her heels on the ground, she began marching forward with her right index finger gesturing us to follow her. "There's a total of fifty rooms, including halls, kitchens, bathrooms, casino, pools, bathhouse and much more so don't waste my time and follow!"

And so began our tour around the expansive hotel. Thankfully the place had yet to begin functioning or else taking care of guests from the get-go would've been impossible. We still had a week to get settled into the environment and make preparations of our own to effectively take good care of the place.

"Mhnmm…" A sudden groan pulled me out of my thoughts. Following behind Ophelia with Maiko and the others, I could've sworn I heard someone groaning.

Looking around at their faces, I noticed something odd. Every one of them was panting as they walked, and apart from Cinder whose body was different shades of orange or red, all their faces were blushing red. Barely keeping their eyes open, they heaved out huffs and moans which instantly turned to steaming fog.

"Are you girls, okay?" I asked, gently placing my hand on Maiko's shoulder.

Her eyes widened to my touch and the tinge of red on her face turned deeper.

"I-I'm!" Her breasts rose up high as she struggled to form words. "I'm o-okay!"

Shutting her eyes tight, she stood frozen in place while Ophelia kept walking forward assuming that we were still behind her.

"Hey!" Moving to my other side, Senya quickly wrapped her hand around my arm. "I'm feeling lightheaded too!"

Hugging my arm tight, she began brushing herself against me as if she were a cat cuddling its master. Before I could even register what was happening, I felt Maiko doing the same to my other hand, but unlike Senya she had her eyes tight shut.

'The mating season thing?' Finally reminded of the receptionist's words, I was flustered as well. The very words 'mating' triggered something primal in me. Being clamped between two humanoid monster girls that looked like any man's dream didn't help the situation at all. 'Concentrate! You need this job! You can't think about that stuff! At least…Not yet?'

Tugged between Maiko's apron, and Senya's maid outfit's blouse, my arms felt as if they were being smothered by a hot pair of clouds. Being a man, my heart told me to relish the moment, but my mind screamed for a reason.

"What the hell are you waiting for back there?!" The echoing voice of Ophelia from the very end of the hallway shocked the three of us straight. However, noticing her adjusting her glasses, it appeared that the overseer didn't have good enough eyesight to witness what we were doing. "We don't have time for games, so get here now!"

"Y-yeah!" With that said, I pulled myself off the girls and began following the overseer again.

The rest of the tour was awkward, but uneventful. Ophelia showed us around the establishment while sprinkling insults with every sentence. Most of the establishment's services would remain closed for now, only to be opened once more monster girls joined the program and we had enough people to run those services without any problems. As for now, we only offer food and lounging to any guest starting a week from now.

"Mister Ken," circling back to the reception, Ophelia turned around to look at me. "Now how you manage this place is up to you, but the embassy demands results or else we have no use for you."

The scowling look on her face relayed everything I needed to know. She hated me, and the girls. No wonder nobody from the embassy took this job and it fell to someone like me. For all I know they're more afraid of these girls than me, but saying that out loud would put the Human and Monster Relations embassy at risk.

"I'll survive," I told her, she nodded in acknowledgment.

"Survive?" I heard Cinder mumble with confusion in the back.

"Good luck, I'll be visiting every month for my reports, don't disappoint me," taking a step closer, she leaned into my ears and whispered. "Keep them on a leash, tame them, and bring glory to humanity."

"Glory," I whispered back, not wanting to fight the embassy's true motive.

Without another word, she turned around and made her way to the exit. Watching her back, I could only imagine what kind of horrors the embassy commits that are never made public. If I tried to defy them or lost this job somehow, these bastards would surely get rid of me as well as the girls in the most gruesome way possible.

'I can't lose this job, but more importantly.' Turning around, I faced the girls standing right behind me. 'If these girls are as innocent as they look then I can't let the embassy hurt them.'

Knowing full well that they were only the first batch of girls, I realized just how true the receptionist's words were.

"I'll be the bridge of trust, but you only need to follow me," I said, and the hint of worries on their faces gently washed away.
