Disciple Selection

Some time later, Hammed found himself in a strange room. There were some working tables, furnaces, wasted Artifact projects, hammers, pliers, and other tools.

"Where am I ? From the looks, this should be some type of blacksmith workshop. Also, my Communication Collar isn't working here." Hammed thought after he tested out his collar.

As he was looking around, a ancient voice sounded in his mind

"Greetings youngster. You should be proud, since being able to participate in Master's disciple selecting is a privilege for few. When was the last time ? Hm, about half a trillion years ago, I think."

"Anyway, you should know the rules. This year, you and a young lady were chosen to participate. The selection is very simple. First, we will test your survivability. Master doesn't need weaklings as his disciples. Therefore, you two will have to work together and survive for a hundred years in a savage micro realm. There everything will try to kill you, even your shadow can represent threat."

After he could continue speaking, Hammed interrupted him

"Wait. First of all, how are you and who's your master ?"

"I'm the Main Palace Spirit and my master is Blacksmith Netherlord."

"But isn't your master dead ?" Hammed asked in a confused manner.

"Although he's dead, why can't he continue to take disciples ? Before he died, he passed on to me the mission of find a propor sucessor for him, and here we are, hundreds of trillions years later."

"Alright, then please continue explaining the rules of the selection." Hammed requested.

"Certainly. After that, if you survive, a hundred thousand years will be given to you in a temporal array. In this time, you'll have to depend on your own and open up your personal path in Artifact Engineering. Therefore, you'll be tested in forging at least a Spirit Level Artifact." The Spirit said calmly.

Hearing that, Hammed was indignant as he said

"Isn't a hundred thousand years too short for someone to start forging a Spirit Level Artifact !?"

"Well, Master doesn't need trash as his disciples, therefore, those are his rules. Either way, even if you fail in the final, rewards will be given. Are you willing to participate ?" The Spirit asked.

After hesitating for a bit, Hammed nodded in agreement.

"Kid, you made the right chose. Know I'll teleport you together with the other junior to the micro realm. Good luck !!!"

After he finished speaking, Hammed felt his body disappearing and the everything when black again. A few breaths later, he was within a tropical jungle and the sun was torturing of living beings.

As he scanned the surrounding, he met another pair of eyes staring at him. It was Sarah, from the Extreme Frost Empire

"What are you pervert doing here !!?" She shouted as he saw Hammed.

Although she was mad at this young man, she couldn't deny that he was very attractive. However, admitting this was another story, since she was too proud. And this young man humiliated her in front of everyone.

"Nice to meet you again too. Could this be destiny trying to pay back my bet ?" Hammed said as he teased her.

After Sarah heard about the bet, she remembered the things he said about she "warming of his bed" at their duel and her face turned scarlet.

"Never in your life I would "make it" with a lecher like you. I would rather die. Now please don't follow me, I'll go this way, and you go that way !!!"

After she finished speaking, a frost power exploded from her body as she flew to the north, getting far away from Hammed.

"I hope she stays well." Hammed thought as he headed south, flying above the trees.

However, as he was floating in the air, a loud voice sounded through the realm

"I forgot to tell you guys. When the test begins, all your Laws will be suppressed and you'll depend only on your physical strength. And let the games begin!!! " The Palace Spirit said in a sarcastic tone.

After that, Hammed felt all his Law power begin suppressed as he started falling from the skies

"That bastard, he could've warned earlier !!" Hammed cursed as he fell, hitting lots of branches and making a crater in the ground.

...

However, since he tempered his body a lot with astral dust, he didn't have significant injuries, just some bruises and scratches. Getting up, Hammed already saw himself surround by Lesser dragons and white tigers

"You have to be kidding me!!!"

...

They didn't even let him summon his weapon, attacking it all directions. Although Hammed's defense was monstrous, it wasn't invincible, and he didn't have asteroids to defend himself now.

Therefore, he entered a brutal fight the demonic beasts, ruthlessly smashing his opponents with the heavy sword. However, he wasn't that better off either. Deep long cuts were everywhere on his body, and to dodge from a killing attack, he lost an arm.

Although he could grow it back later, this weakened his battle capabilities drastically

"I can't continue like this. If not, I might even lose my life here. It's time to use that move."

As so, he summoned his Celestial Eyes. Therefore, a strong intent formed around his body and a strange thing happened. Initially, he only had one arm holding a heavy sword. However, now it looked like he had six arms and six sword.

Obviously, this was just a illusion created by the Celestial Eyes. It's intent invades the opponents mind and makes them think Hammed grew lots of arms. This way, Hammed could "attack" with the illusive arms, and as the opponent defended against them, the real attack came.

He named it Celestial Genjutsu, referencing an anime he watched in his childhood. Although being very simple, it helped a lot and could be upgraded in the future. He comprehend it by chance when he was training his sword art and was curious about the afterimages created in the attacks.

Using his secret technique, Hammed killed his way out from the ambush. After that, he basically ran for his life.

After escaping for about and hour to the north, Hammed found a recluse cavern to sit down and recuperate. His arm started growing back too.

Calming down, a loud growl can from his stomach

"Oh, I forgot that without the Laws, I'm practically a mortal with infinite life. Looks like I'll have to find something to eat."

...

As so, he headed out of the little cavern and started to look around for some fruit of animal.

As he was wandering through the forest, he heard some battle clashes from afar. Getting closer carefully, he saw a group of demonic beasts surrounding a silver haired girl, Sarah.

She was having a bad time holding up against them when a gigantic demonic bear threw his paw, sending her flying. Like this, she hit a giant rock and fainted. Therefore, the demonic beast started to get closer.

See this, Hammed jumped it their direction, summoning his sword...
