4 New Transfer Student: Hase

Though I trust Ava a lot, it's just so hard for me to act normally around her after Seth asked her out. And I don't blame Ava for any of it. Even if she really falls in love with Seth, even if they really become a couple, I couldn't blame her because both of them are amazing and suit each other well. But that would mean Ava doesn't care about my feelings for Seth, right? Oh, no! What am I thinking!

I sit on the river bank and put my head on my knees. I always come here whenever things go wrong or whenever I want to clear my head or to find some solutions. And that is because the pleasant breeze has a great soothing power and not many people come here, almost none. Many random thoughts flash in my head and I had to get it out and so I shout.

"Aaahhhhh!!!! I hate my life! It is so stupid!!" Well, that kinda felt relaxing.

"You seem pretty frustrated", a deep male voice came from behind. The accent doesn't seem American. It startled me because I wasn't actually expecting that.

I jerk and turn around. I saw a handsome, tall, fair boy standing behind me with a coke in his hand. He looked like an Asian. (And of course Asian boys are cute!!😜)

"Who....who are you....?" (Ash)

"Hello, I'm Hase Yoshida", his voice was so good to hear.

"Hi, I'm Ashley Watts. Never seen you here before...." (Ash)

"I recently migrated to this neighbourhood. I'm from Japan." (Hase)

"Oh. That's nice." (Ash)

"So...boy problems?" (Hase)

"Yeah, sorta", I faintly smile.

He sits beside me. Neither of us say a word for quite some time. Then I finally break the ice.

"It's getting late, I gotta go home. See you around." (Ash)

"Sure! The boy that makes you cry doesn't deserve you." (Hase)

What he said doesn't actually suit the current context. I mean it's not like Seth was cheating on me, we barely know each other. But his words did touch my heart. I don't know why.....

Next morning, I woke up at 7 a.m. as usual and dressed up. Today I didn't feel like dressing up chic, so I just wore an oversized hoodie and jeans. I went to the dining area to have my breakfast and my brother suddenly said a shocking news. That was shocking to my parents, though, because they never wanted us to have a boyfriend/girlfriend till we entered college. He said he has a girlfriend named Tiana and that he is inviting her over to dinner on his birthday which is 2 days far. Well, my mom started saying something and I immediately ran out of the house with a sandwich in my hand and wishing good luck to Dan in my mind.

My 1st class was AP English today, the class that Seth and I shared and I totally wished that I don't encounter Ava before I go to class. But I met her. She acted normally, as if nothing happened and that kinda assured me that it's going to be fine and so did I act normally.

I entered the class and saw Seth. He waved at me and I smiled. And the class began.

"Students, we have a new transfer student in our school. He is from Japan. Hase, please come in." (Mr. Frank)

I was slightly shocked by seeing Hase here. And all the girls were literally drooling because frankly speaking he is so damn good looking, even better than Seth and in fact even I started to have a slight crush on him! He stood in front of the class. He saw me and winked at me. Seth saw that and felt a bit annoyed. That made me happy, a bit.

"Introduce yourself, Hase." (Mr. Frank)

"Hello everyone, I'm Hase Yoshida and I'm a transfer student from Japan. Hope we all can get along soon. " (Hase)

He then comes and sits in the chair next to me. OMG! This is exciting!
