2 Embarrassment!
"Hey girls!", Shirley screams as she enters the school canteen making her way through the crowd towards Ava and me. All of us are pretty excited for the new academic year. As we walk towards our lockers, I told them about my dream. "Damn! Girl, you are really in love with Seth!!", says Ava.
" Well, I guess I am. But I don't think I stand a chance, you know.....", I say.
"No! You surely do. Just try to be as visible as possible. Try getting close to him. Talk to him."(Ava)
"Should I? Can I?" (Me)
"If not know you can never do it. I was also like you earlier, but then I mustered up some courage and ask Felix(Shirley's boyfriend) and today we are together!" (Shirley)
"Come on, Ash! You can do it! Now, go to him and ask him out." (Ava)
"Okay! I'll do it! I can do it!" (Me)
I walk down the hallway towards Seth to finally ask him out. I wasn't so confident but I want to give it a try. I went to him and patted on his shoulder. "Hey Seth! Long time, no see", I say.
"Um...I'm sorry, do I know you?", says Seth.
My first embarrassing moment of the year and that too in front of Seth. I totally forgot that he doesn't know me and I pretended to act so cool! To add to the embarrassment, his friend, who was standing right next to him started to mock me.
"Hey Seth! Long time, no see! Hahaha, another chic who probably wants to get laid down beside Seth! (Laughing loudly)", Ryan says.
"Dude, stop it", says Seth ( trying to control his laugh).
Omg omg omg! As I try to stay strong, control my emotions, tears roll down my cheeks. I turn around and start running towards the restroom and my girls follow me. Everyone in the hallway is laughing. I'm the hot topic of the day!
"Ash! Calm down. It's going to be fine." (Ava)
*Sobbing*(Me)
"I would rather jump into a black hole than face all the students now!" (Me)
"You better do that, Weirdo! The only thing you know to do is to embarrass yourself. It's not like anyone's gonna miss you if you are gone", says the mean girl of the school who always loves to pick on me, Sarah.
