4 His Devilishly Attractive Annoying Face

Inside the Student Council Office.

The serious-looking young man in front of us was the Student Council President. He steadied his silver-rimmed eyeglasses and look at us, his sight fell on 'Clark'.

"Caric? You again! What did you do again?"

"Caric? He's not Clark?" I asked, turning their attention to me.

"Umm… you might be mistaken here. I'm not Clark, he's my twin." The twin of Clark whispered to me in response but we were interrupted by the President's clearing of throat.

Nikho de Lorante, the Student Council President, graduated as a valedictorian in high school and now a senior student, taking up engineering. Second-in-line heir to the Vius Lorante Enterprise, a company that focuses on land acquisition and building construction.

That I have no idea about 'cause I'm just a fine arts student who is interested in painting and composing of music which was diversely opposite to those things.

It was my homework with Aria as she forced me to help her with this, last night. In her words, it's a rundown of handsome boys in school.

And Nikho was one of those, I thought that she was finished on her 'researched' but she said that it was only the sophomores that she 'investigated' and the juniors and seniors were left off.

So that happened, she let me on one of her copies which were the seniors' handsome boys' list and the top of it was the President.

"I swear, President, I didn't do anything wrong!"

Caric was like a puppy with his tail tucked between his legs. Why was he so afraid?

"Oh, you better tell me before I let a word to your twin brother."

By just the mention of 'twin brother', the poor young man paled considerably.

"President, it's not his fault again. This is this girl's fault!" Nilan interfered before anything gets haywire and he was literally pointing at me.

"And why's that my fault?" I said with gritted teeth.

I will not let this go, smoothly. If this jerk wanted to fight then bring it on!

"It's your fault!"

"I'm not!"

"You are."

"Na-ah."

"You are."

"No---"

Bang!

Our attention was caught by the noise that was created by the angry President.

He massages his temples to calm himself.

"Before we go to that blaming session, why doesn't someone explain to me how had this started and why are you here in my office, not on the councillor's office?"

I am about to speak up to clear the misunderstanding when once again the jerk got better of me. He extended his hand to shove me off and he started explaining himself.

Jerk!

After Nikho understood the vague picture of the situation. He then nodded and stared at me.

"What can you plead about this, Ms. Cabreza?"

I started explaining to him that I just saw those shoes there and was curious to it so I neared it. Well, I didn't say that I was planning to leave it alone for the jerk would come looking for it, crazily.

"So you're not the culprit then?"

"How can that be?! I just saw her putting my shoes there with my own eyes!" The jerk debated and pointedly looked at me.

"No, I did not." Just deny it, Rain. No matter what this jerk says, just deny it. He had no pieces of evidence against me, though.

"I have my witness here! Caric!"

The mentioned boy flinches as he scratches his nape, "Umm… well, President, this whole t-thing was a s-sort of my fault."

-----

We were in the garden where it all started. The President was very angry on our childish play because we just wasted his precious time and so he punished us, Nilan and I to clean the garden for a whole day, even the innocent leaves there should be swept off.

The punishment for Caric was not light as he directed this whole misunderstanding so he was punished to clean the comfort rooms of the engineering building for a whole week.

"It's your fault that we got punished," I stated at the jerk who was busy playing with the flowers as he didn't want to sweep this garden.

The lying Nilan suddenly got up and glared at me.

"Why's that, sniffing dog?"

Oh, that nickname again.

He got my nerves there, just a little bit and I'm going to sweep his ass off.

"You brought this upon us and why did you bring this small matter to the President when we can just settle this to the councillor's office?"

The councillor was a part of the Student Council but only handled the disciplinary and punishment acts for the students who had done something wrong or broke the rules within the school ground.

"The councillor is useless and the President's office is what I first thought of so mind your business."

Now with his rude mouth.

I glaringly went near him as I brought my broom up above my head, ready to smash him.

Bang!

He dodged.

Bang!

He dodged again.

"Stop it! Why are you chasing me with that broomstick?!"

"Obviously, jerk, you are running away!"

He smirked at my statement and winked, and he ran away.

I'll definitely hit that devilishly attractive annoying face!

Mark that the 'ANNOYING' word is being emphasized.

----

"Rainy! Why is your 'blackeyes' so large? Did you get punch again?" The snarky remark of my brother with his dumb cat sleeping on the front seat.

I entered at the back seat of his car, not wanting to compete with the dumb cat. Still, I got to be a boss while my brother looks like my personal driver at the front.

"Why are you smiling in a sudden?" Storm said while looking at me at the rearview mirror in front.

I ignored him as I texted Aria.

To: Aria

Did you look for me?

Ting!

From: Aria

Yes! Why are you absent? It's just the first week of class and you are being lazy again.

To: Aria

I didn't absent, okay? I was punished by the president with your jerk cousin.

Ting!

From: Aria

Really?! How does it feel being 'punished' by Nikho? Is it good? Lovely?

I rolled my eyes at her text and was about to reply when I got another message from her.

From: Aria

And why is Nilan with you?

To: Aria

I'll explain it to you, tomorrow.

I turned off my phone and unconsciously landed my sight to the front.

Oh my Gee!

I was frightened there, the dumb cat Timmy was looking straight at me with his cat-mocking eyes

Why do I always see that as mocking? But it was really mocking at me.

I glared at Timmy and looked away.

----

Nilan curses as he stumbled upon the messy wirings on his bedroom floor.

His cousin, Aria was still knocking outside his room.

'What does she want?'

Knock! Knock!

"What do you want?"

He opened the door and the grinning Aria was standing there.

"What happened between you and Rain?"

"Rain? Who's that?"

"Are you that blind? Or dense? It's my best friend!"

"Oh, I thought you never get a friend with just your attitude."

Aria rolled her eyes at Nilan and barged in his room.

Unable to restrain his cousin, he just shrugged and closed the door.

"What are you doing here?" Nilan with a hint of irritation on his voice asked.

The inspecting girl was roaming her eyes around his room. She's looking for something that would stand as a confirmation on her suspicion.

A suspicious-looking vintage notebook was on the desk table in front of a computer monitor. Something was sticking out of the vintage notebook.

Aria went near the vintage notebook when suddenly Nilan blocks her, preventing her from looking or snooping her nose.

His cousin simply turned around, continuing observing the room as nothing happened.

"Hmm. I don't see anything 'malicious'," Aria whispered but was obviously heard by Nilan.

"Malicious?"

"Nothing, brother!"

Nilan's face scrunched up after hearing the endearing cringy term. Once Aria would start calling him 'brother', this cousin of his had something to ask on him.

"What is it?" Nilan said with boredom.

This should be not ridiculous.
