75 The ex

"Good morning, sir." The guard, at the front door, greeted me when I strode past him.

"Good morning," I smile at him.

The shocked expression on his face was what alerted me to my strange behaviour.

What's wrong with me?

Why did I smile at him just now?

This is so unlike me. I don't do smiles, nor am I a pleasant person to work with. I'm just myself. Just plain Sly, and nothing more.

The guard stood there, looking as shocked as a person who saw an angel being caught on camera.

Seeing the smile on my face must have shocked him more than anything else has ever done.

However, that didn't cause me to stop smiling. If it did anything, it made me smile brighter.

There is no way I can be angry today because I'm happy.

My morning started well, although it was cut short by that stupid Marli.

Just thinking of her, made me eager to wriggle that neck of hers. Or better still, throw her at the crocodiles in the zoo.
