The Chase is On!!

*Next Day*

"Going somewhere?" Alex asked Alfred who was ready to go out.

"Yes, I'm going to meet the son and family of a friend of mine. Would you like to accompany me, I believe you would appreciate the company of their kids." Alfred answered and asked.

"Sure, why not? The girls are busy learning from Master Yao anyway, so I have free time." Alex answered. Alfred raised an eyebrow but didn't question his master's sudden desire to meet someone else. And his doubt was right on spot.

'Damn, why can't my sixth sense be more informative? I just feel something's going to happen, not what exactly.' Alex thought while entering the car and Alfred drove off.

After a while, they arrived at a one-story house. Alfred parked the car as they went towards the fence gate. Alex saw two kids, an older boy, about 9, and his little sister playing in the small garden, who stopped and looked at them. After seeing Alferd, a smile bloomed on their faces and the ran and hugged him.

"Uncle Al" The greeted him.

"Ha-ha. Good to see you to Lisa, Frank." Alfred smiled and hugged them back. The got out of the hug and the kids noticed Alex and looked confused. They were about to ask when the door opened and a husband and wife came out, but seeing the man, Alex almost lost composure for a nanosecond. Almost.

"Mr. Alfred, good to see you again," The man said.

"Uncle Al, you finally arrived." The lady said and hugged him, while the man also noticed Alex, smiling behind Alfred, winking at the kids. The lady also noticed and asked "Uh, sorry? You are?"

"Ah, don't worry. As for me, my name is Alexander Thomas Knight. A pleasure to meet you." Alex did a bow to introduce himself. The kids were surprised seeing him act like how Alfred usually does, while the parents were surprised who he was. Only someone living in the caves won't know the name Knight, except kids.

"I di-did not.. uh, can I ask the reason for your visit sir?' The lady asked, and Alex raised a brow in confusion and looked towards Alfred for an explanation.

"Ah, I forgot I only told them I work as the head of several jewelry shops. I did not mention I was your butler." Alfred said, getting a shock from the couple, while Alex just shook his head. Alfred has a bad habit of keeping this fact from others as many still target him. Alex created the Dark knights just for this reason.

"He has a habit of surprising others, and I'm here as his grandson, so don't be so formal," Alex said, dismissing the atmosphere.

"Well, my name is Frank Castle, a pleasure to meet you," The man said and put his hand forward. This is exactly what had surprised Alex. Frank Castle, aka, The Punisher. But not now. He was supposed to take the name after the death of his family, and that had clearly not happened. But Alex was thankful for his sixth sense, as he felt some eyes on the house. There was a good chance Alfred would have gotten involved as well, and even if he was given the serum, Alex would put a hole in someone's head if they even think about troubling him, much less attack. And since Alfred seemed to know Frank's wife, their safety is also now one of his priorities.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Castle," Alex said and shook his hand while sending names of the ones he felt through telepathy to Oracle to search them.

"Nice to have you here, my name is Maria Castle. Uncle Al was the senior of my father in the army. Though I'm surprised the Grandson he's been talking about... was Alexander Knight." She greeted him and wryly smiled at last.

Alex nodded and squatted down to the kids and asked " So, mind telling me your names?"

The boy and girl turned towards their parents, who nodded them to talk, "My name is Frank Castle jr. Nice to meet you." The boy said and turned to his sister.

"And my name is Lisa Castle." She introduced. "Are you Knight from the games?" She asked.

"From the games?" Alex asked confused.

"She means from the mobile games. Many have Knight Entertainment written on it." Frank Jr. explained.

"Oh, which ones do you like?" Alex asked.

"Subway surfers and Talking Tom." She answered. "I also want to play the new angry birds one, it looks funny. But it will come later" She said, dejected at last. Alex couldn't help but want to hug her, she was too cute.

"You want to play it?" Alex asked.

She perked up and asked, "You have it?"

"Well, I get them when they are made" Alex chuckled and handed her his phone, and she immediately immersed herself in it. Frank Jr. couldn't help but peek as well.

Maria held her forehead and groaned " Now they are not gonna leave that for a while."

Alfred gave a chuckle and asked, "Well, you all ready?" He asked.

"Yes, everything's almost packed, give me a few moments," Maria answered.

"Where are we going? A picnic?" Alex asked with a raised brow.

"Yes, a tour to the zoo and then a picnic in central park" Alfred replied, and Alex nodded in understanding.

'Oracle.' Alex said telepathically.

[Dark knights are already above you. None of them will fire a single shot anytime at all,] She replied back, as Alex used soul vision to see the guards land behind all men spying on Frank's house.

"Sir?" Alfred asked, noticing Alex's behavior.

"Don't worry. It's getting dealt with," Alex dismissed Alfred's worry.

After a while, the family came down, and they went on the trip with Frank talking the wheels this time.

"Damn, this is one smooth ride," Frank commented after a while.

"Thanks, made it myself," Alex said, getting a surprised look from them.

"So Alex, what do you do? Like, are you always inventing stuff? Or running the company?" Maria asked during the ride, as Frank Jr. took the phone from Lisa for his turn to play.

"I actually go to high school," Alex replied.

"What?" Maria blinked, confusedly. Frank raised a brow hearing this as well.

Alex chuckled and said, "Well, I wanted to know what school life was like, so applied in middle school. I started enjoying hanging out with my friends. Though the classes themselves did get a bit boring since I knew almost everything, so it has been manageable so far. And right now, I'm still in high school. As for the company, I have already planned about the future for quite a while, and there is another batch of scientists working to improve our current products and other stuff, so I'm not pressured to do anything," Maria just nodded since she lost him midway, while Frank realized from his experience in FBI just how... productive of a businessman Alexander Knight really is, since he never gave away full details about anything.

The next few hours Alex spent with the Castle family, getting to know them better. And he had to agree with Alfred, the little girl's enthusiasm was quite contagious. After the tour of the zoo, Alex took the wheels this time and drove towards Central Park when Oracle said, [Alex, there has been a slight problem]

'What happened?' Alex asked mentally.

[It's Hydra. They got the news that you're out and decided to attack you at the Central Park with the gang members.] She informed him.

'But why? They shouldn't be taking such a risk?' Alex asked and thought about what he did that caught Hydra's attention, and it didn't even take a second before he figured it out 'The DNA suppressor. They want ways to disable mutants.' He concluded.

[Seems to be most likely the case.] Oracle agreed.

'Place a call.' Alex said and focus back on the road while using a sleep spell to slowly put the kids to sleep. And as he said, Oracle placed a call on the dashboard's monitor.

Alfred enabled and asked, "Yes?"

"Sir Pennyworth, we have spotted multiple vehicles with armed personnel trying to corner you." The voice said.

"What?" Maria asked in fear while Frank was alarmed.

"Did you find the identities and reason?" Alex asked, adjusting the rear-view mirror.

"Yes sir, some seem to be after Mr. Castle for some reason with the intention to kill him and his family, while the other party that collaborated later have plans to kidnap you." The man on the call said, which was Oracle disguising her voice.

"Looks like you got some enemies Mr. Castle. " Alex chuckled and sighed "And so do I." He then focused on the call and instructed, "I'm making a diversion, stop the when you get a clear shot. Mr. and Mrs. Castle, seatbelts, please. And hold those two tight" Alex said, and Frank and Maria immediately held Frank jr. and Lisa.

"Oracle, activate fight or flight mode," Alex said.

[At once] Oracle spoke through the screen as the car went through changes. The car elevated as the tires thickened and the suspension system became more complex. The bottom part got fully covered in a thick metal sheet as well as a force field, while the rear expanded, showing a high-tech propulsion system with multiple hidden weapons, ready to be deployed anytime, and the same for the front. The doors thickened as well and a second layer of the screen covered all the windows and the front and rear windscreens. The interior changed as well, as the seats became slightly comfortable for them and the screen on the dashboard switched to a holographic projector, with the windshield having a HUD as well, and the controls changing to more complicated ones.

[The balance and gravmatic systems are online. F&F mode engaged.] Oracle said as the car picked up acceleration at a rapid pace, and it didn't show any problems weaving through the traffic as one should have at high speed.

Alex switched to an alley quickly to exit towards a less populated street and broke Hydra's attempt at cornering him.

"They switched ?"

"Damn, they realized. Move, move. Hello, the target has realized and is breaking formation, I repeat, the target has realized and is breaking formation. Follow through towards east manhattan now." The hydra captain trailing Alex realized and contacted the other teams. Except, Oracle had recognized their frequency and allowed all four in Alex's car to hear them clearly.

"Oracle, have the team set the trap?" Alex asked.

[Yes, but I advise to move away from the city as Knight industries would help partially be responsible if found out, and given the ones targeting you, they will probably try this.] Oracle informed.

"Who's following you?" Frank asked while holding his daughter.

"A sleeper terrorist organization. Don't get involved in them, you have your own problems to deal with for now. Messing with them will put your family in more danger than they already are in." Alex said, and Frank didn't ask more, as he knew Alex was probably right.

"Fine, but can you help me find the ones targeting me and my family?" He asked.

"Gladly" Alex replied while taking a sharp turn and accelerating onward, but thanks to the balance system, none inside felt the turn at all. By now, some police cars were following him as well, but all of them were Hydra's men as well.

Though, unlike his expression, Alex was enjoying the feeling of the chase. The car was built by him to survive a freaking nuke, you think Hydra weapons would give it a scratch? Even the tesseract-powered ones wouldn't do any damage. But Alex couldn't let Frank and maria know that. As for why he didn't put them to sleep, erasing memories of those in good relation to him is a big No-No. That was the main reason he was angry with Charles after all, if Alex didn't follow, he would be a hypocrite.

Removing unnecessary thoughts, Alex finished planting suggestions in people he was sure would come in the way, which may make them victims in case Hydra starts shooting, and his influence spanned miles. Using the free lanes, Alex duked most of them, and rushed towards the least populated areas of the Bronx, which happened to be by the shore. Did Hydra want his technology? Then that's what they'll get!!
