1 As I Gave My Loyalty to You

Being raised in an orphanage without knowing happiness, warmth and love. Zalier Silveron, an 8 year old was a child eyes full of anger, hate and darkness. From a young age living in that cruel and nasty orphanage full of lies and hurt.

"Elliot! Elliot you little runt! how dare you not clean the fire place! it should have been spotless!" screamed the head as she chase him with a thick wood.

"I did what you have asked!" cried little Elliot as he ran away from the monstrous head of the orphanage.

While running Elliot got stuck in the corners of the wall being beaten up by the thick wood as all the other children could do nothing but watched.

"Please stop! I beg of you ma'am, Elliot is suffering!" cried little Lily as she clutch onto the demon.

"Keep quite! or would you rather join him!?" screamed the head as she pulled little Lily near Elliot.

Both orphans being almost hit with the wood was halted by Zalier, his piercing eyes and intimidating aura that all the children and even the head felt the chills run down their spine. He stopped the ruckus and got nearer and nearer to the head...

"You wanted the fire place cleaned? You wanted it spotless?... You fool, even if he cleaned it up spotless, it would still be worthless with you always throwing your cigars every minute. You trash of an adult, oh! you ARE an adult... right?" Zaliers' cold stares and icy words pierced like shards through the heads' body, being unable to say a word back from the embarrassment she received.

By feeling inferior, she started saying unclear words to Zalier to make the children feel somehow scared at her even if she started stuttering from the shock.

"W-well then! W-would you rath-er take their p-place!" staring yet shaken by Zalier.

"Do your worst." he straight up said with out fear. "You took your stress out on us just because no man stayed with you... you can't fool me, I see through you." he stared sharp onto her eyes full of fear.

"Why would I waste my time on you..." the only words she can say as she walked away from them.

"Don't anyone of you got jobs! Go do your work! This instant!" the head burst out as she slammed the door behind her.

Other children felt horrified and anxious to go near Zalier, except for Elliot and Lily who thanked him. Still no matter the situation he learned to not trust other people; their words, actions, and even their eyes. Growing up, he vowed to leave such cruelty and make a name for himself... not the Zalier of nothing, but the Zalier to be feared.

11 Years passed when he left the orphanage. As nights got colder he trained to be strong, powerful, fearsome yet trustworthy. No fool can escape him without all the truth being told. He was named "Zalier Silveron- Frigus" a lone wolf, the saviour of the good, the intimidating eyes of a carnivore. His name scattered from the village to the nobles and even the majestic of all lands.

One cold night. As he slept under the tree in the forest, he heard a snap on one of the branches and immediately pointed his sword- he came to a halt from the sight he saw, His sword slowly being drawn back from the figure.

Under the pale blue moon standing alone with confidence... a long yellow hair looked as if it was glowing, light green sharp eyes felt as if it saw through his heart, white skin so pure as if no evil has ever tainted it. Standing right before his eyes a beautiful little girl in a silver night gown smiled as she stretched her arm out to him.

In an angelic and harmonious voice she spoke "I am Princess Dhalia Timere Fortem Donatus, 14 years of existence. I heard all about you, please do not be scared, I have no intention of harming you or such. Each night I only dreamt of seeing you, I want you... I need you to be by my side. My dearest warrior, would you please help me get rid of evil and make a peaceful land? Zalier." He noticed her eyes told no lies, her purity, bravery, and confidence made him captivated and sparked a fire within him.

"How does a little girl speak with such grace, confidence and beauty. With every word she told no lies. Am I blessed by the heavens to have met this girl?" he thought as he gladly took her hand.

Without budging her eyes away from him, without fainting her smile she slowly leaned in for a hug and whispered " I give my loyalty to you if you were to do the same. I pledge to show you wonderful things only if you pledge to help me make a world of peace. Dearest Zalier, may I take it that we understood each other?"

From that night I knew that as I gave Dhalia my loyalty... I even gave her my heart.
