"Kneel."

One simple word.

One simple word was all it took to have them cower in fear.

But alas... Not all of them.

The man in front of Myra Winter hesitated. The audacity...

"Hobi, 5 seconds."

The slightly older man, Hobi looked up, puzzled. Wonder why the woman before him suddenly said those.

Sighing, she went on, "I'm gonna give you 5 seconds to kneel right in front of me."

Aliyah Gaden hissed in annoyance, "You heard the boss. Just do it, man. Before she aims for your legs next."

After hearing Aliyah provoking him and Myra began counting down, Hobi quickly did as he was told, he kneeled, knowing the women were not playing around this time. He wouldn't dare disobey them.

"Thank you, Aliyah."

The woman with the hazel eyes grinned, "Anything for you, boss. You're being generous and all with him... and yet he..." Aliyah stopped and looked at Hobi in disgust.

"I know." Myra crouched down in front of him and lifted his chin with her index finger, making him looked at her right in the eyes.

"Do not let me repeat myself after this. I fucking hate repeating myself. You should know that by now after working with me for years." She gave him a soft smile, hiding a deep meaning behind it.

The man gave her a quick nod. He was indeed shaking in fear, but his eyes held so much hatred for her.

"So freaking cool..." Aliyah muttered from behind Myra. Then all of a sudden there was a smacking sound.

"Focus, Gaden."

"Ouch, no need to smack me right on the head, Miller! Bitch." She hissed in pain.

Another smacking sound was heard.

"Okay! I'm sorry! Damn, who hurt you today, bro? Keep your pants on... If you keep hitting my skull, I'm going to be stupid!"

Jake Miller sarcastically added, "I see no difference."

You could practically hear Aliyah cursing under her breath.

"Now please enlighten, Hobi. How much did you steal from us?" Myra ignored them and focus back on Hobi.

Avoiding her eyes, Hobi decided to stay silent. Stubborn bastard, this one.

So be it if that was how you were going to play.

"Jake," Myra didn't even bother to look at Jake as she called out to him.

Jake Miller answered, "Yes?"

"Is it true that he has a daughter?"

Jake hummed, followed by a simple yes, answering the question. Hobi raised his head, wide-eyed, as she mentioned his daughter.

"16 years old. Soon to be 17 in two months." Jake added as he stood next to Myra, looking down at Hobi.

"Thank you, Jake. I'm curious as to what we can do with this information." She hummed softly, keeping her gaze fixed on Hobi.

"No no no! Don't hurt my daughter!" The older man in front of them pleaded with teary eyes.

Ah. He does, in fact, have a voice. All she needed to do was to pull out the daughter's card.

"Then..." Myra pursed her lips.

"Beg me."

His eyes widened again, and he obviously hesitated. His eyes... they were filled with hate and dread. Fear that she was gonna take his life. Myra thought for sure he wouldn't do it, but he did.

"I'm begging you. Please." He said as he bowed down and kissed her shoes.

"I gave you a chance, Hobi." Aliyah pressed something firm and familiar on her palm as she held her hand out for Aliyah... before pointing it towards his forehead.

"I'm done fooling around with you. You were very difficult to track down. It took us nearly a week to figure out where you were hiding. Tell me now. Hobi, how much did you take from us?"

Hobi swallowed hard, "5... 5 million."

She pushed the gun firmly on his forehead, causing him to wince. "Why?"

"My... my daughter is sick. She needs immediate treatment. I... I couldn't afford it."

Myra raised an eyebrow. Hm? 5 million just for a treatment? Bullshit.

When she glanced behind her, she saw Jake shrugged and Aliyah rolled her eyes, as they both knew Hobi was lying. There was something suspicious going on.

"You know..." Myra rose up and circled him like a predator looking at its prey.

She went on, "You could have just told me you needed money. But no. You made the most irrational choice. What were you thinking? Stealing money from your gang? We're like your second family. You betrayed my brother. You betrayed us! We saved you and your family from dying on the street! We provided you with enough money to put a roof over your head!"

She was fuming with anger. When she went behind him, she kicked him in the back, forcing his head to hit the ground.

Myra called out to Jake once more, "Jake."

Jake's piercing green eyes were suddenly fixed on her. When she didn't ask him any questions, he remained absolutely quiet. He did nothing except standing there and watch while she dealt with Hobi.

"Yeah?"

"Aliyah?" She called out to Aliyah too.

"Y-yeah?" Aliyah stammered, clearly taken aback to hear her boss call out to her out of nowhere. A dazzling smile revealed the bronze glow at her cheeks. Her lovely bushy hair was nicely tied back.

Myra quirked an eyebrow, perplexed as to why Aliyah had suddenly stammered. Aliyah was, in fact, staring at her in astonishment, as if she had done something extraordinary.

"Tell me. Should I kill him? He was no longer useful to us." She saw Hobi stiffening and tensing out of the corner of her eyes. "Or should I let him suffer first? You know, let him taste his own medicine. Perhaps by breaking something?" Myra grinned and nudged his legs with the heels of her shoes, earning a grunt from Hobi.

"Maybe we should start with his legs first. The legs that hesitated to kneel earlier." She cast a sidelong glance towards Jake. Jake always had the answer to her question. He always provides her with the information that she needed. He'd been with her for eight years, after all. He understood her the most.

"Kill him!!" Aliyah chanted.

Oh, she forgot about Aliyah.

"Bitch." Hobi cursed under his breath after he heard Aliyah.

"No, let him pay us in two weeks. 5 million is indeed a large number. But, Myra, the decision is entirely yours. Don't let me stop you." He spoke up as he folded his arms over his broad chest.

She let out a sigh. Damn, Jake. And here she'd thought she would at least have some fun.

"Sheesh. Aliyah here is clearly the definition of fun." Hobi was trembling terribly, obviously terrified of what they were about to do to him.

"Hobi," Myra said as she stepped down on him, one leg on his back. She purposely stepped hard, just for fun, causing Hobi to groan in pain.

"Shit!"

"Aw, are you in pain, honey? You deserve this. You broke my trust. You betrayed us. Right now, I could simply shoot you and let you bleed to death." She stepped on him again, but this time she used her heels to her advantage.

He cried out in pain.

"Jake, on the other hand, has a valid point. Hobi, you have two weeks. I don't care where you get the money or how you get it. No money, you're fucking dead, buddy." She let her leg lingered on his back for a few seconds before deciding to let him go.

For now.

"Miller, that certainly rhymes, do you notice? Ah, I'm simping over our boss."

"Quiet, Gaden."

"Hey, what should you say to the boss lady, huh? You ungrateful bastard!" Aliyah took a step forward and slapped Hobi, causing him to grimace.

"T-thank you!" He stuttered.

Myra hummed before Hobi slowly stood up and walked away, limping. His face twisted with pain.

"Do you have to do that, Gaden?" Jake sighed.

"Nah, I simply wanna slap him once. It was enjoyable." Aliyah grinned.

"Did you kill him?" Liam Winter asked as soon as his sister entered his office.

Damn, give her a break! Myra sighed before she answered him, "No, Liam. I gave him 2 weeks to pay the debt."

"You know that's impossible for him."

Myra shrugged and sat down on his desk.

"What if he turns out to be a spy? Have you considered it, sis?" Liam scowled.

"Yes, in a way. But I'm not getting my hands dirty today, Liam." Myra fiddled with a small knife and winked at Liam.

"Really? Are you certain you're not becoming softer?" Liam raised his eyebrow as he sorted some papers. Liam assigned his little sister the task of handling Hobi just to put her to the test.

Myra crept up behind him and placed the small knife on his neck.

"What the fuck, Myra?" He asked calmly, remained still, without flinching.

"Tell me, brother..." She took a breather and blew hot air into his ears.

"Do I look like I'm getting softer and weaker?" He hissed in pain as I pushed the knife further into his neck.

Liam let out a sigh. "Put the knife down, Myra."

"Fucking answer me, Liam." Blood started trickling down his throat. He groaned, oblivious to the fact that Myra might be unpredictable and unstable at times. Two can play this game after all.

"Liam, I could do this all day. I'm not even kidding." She whispered in his ear.

Liam sighed heavily before quietly muttered out, "No."

She put the knife back into her pocket. "That wasn't so hard now, was it?"

"What exactly did Jake teach you with all of those training?" Liam went to his drawer and put a handkerchief to his neck, applying some pressure.

She grinned," Oh, he taught me everything I needed to know. I'm gonna make dad proud of me."

Myra wouldn't admit it, but Jake was indeed a great teacher, to be honest. He taught her how to use a gun, a knife and how to defend herself.

"Well, train harder. Next time, never let someone who betrayed us live. Just kill them."

She sighed. Still treating her like a kid.

"Yeah yeah." She huffed before she sat on his desk again.

Liam let out a low growl as he realized she wasn't taking him seriously. "Myra, I'm dead serious. If you really want to be a member of White Wolves, you

must follow my commands. I have more authority than you and you know that."

"I know, Liam!"

"If you understand, do not hesitate to kill Hobi the next time you see him. It makes no difference to me whether or not he repays us the money." Liam gave Myra a warning. This had always been the case. He always questions her choices and decisions.

Myra glanced down, ignoring him, and admiring her nails.

"Myra!" Liam grabbed her shoulders and literally forced her to look him in the eyes. "Mom died because she put much too much faith in people! Don't be a moron! You saw how-"

She stiffened when Liam brought up the past. "Enough!" She cut him off.

"Myra, listen well-" He called me out again.

"For fuck sake, just stop!" Myra accidentally raised her gun at him, causing him to take a step back.

"What exactly is going on here?" Jake stormed into the office after hearing the uproar between the two.

"Myra, put the gun down." He decided to calm her down first, seeing as how she held a weapon.

She curled her fingers, ready to shoot Liam. He was pissing her off.

"Myra..." When she heard Jake's soothing voice, she hesitantly put down her gun.

"Jake, extra training for her." Liam fixed the collar of his shirt and narrowed his eyes as he dismissed her.

Myra remained silent. Fucking brother.

"On it."

Myra took a step back, frowning, and walked away from both of them.
