1 Chapter 1

The wind blows, the cherry blossoms fall slowly in a dance, and here, in those mountains of Lijiang, Huang Yang rests, lost in thought. His gaze is fixed in the depths of those mountains that he used to travel with his parents and admire the wonder of the place. One of the things that he liked to see the most were the pandas, which used to appear very far away. It was everything he wanted in his life. The moments he spent with them before the accident when he was only ten years old. His grandparents raised him teaching him everything they knew about his ancestors. When he held the hands of his grandparents, people who cultivated the land, they liked to sit next to the imposing jade dragon at rest time.

—Grandpa, do you think I'll ever see the pandas we used to see together again? —Huang Yang asked.

—I don't know, grandson. But you should never stop dreaming. —Replied his grandfather with a smile on her face.

—Thank you for being with me, grandfather, —Huang said and left.

As he walked, he reflected on the teachings he had received. It had not been easy for him to assume the responsibility of taking care of his grandparents whom he loved deeply, while he was also an excellent architect. He admired the architecture of LIjiang and the ancient times of China, places that awed him and motivated him to investigate further. He wouldn't change a thing about the hours he spent walking the streets of the city, observing his trade and his friendly people. Many foreign tourists also admired these natural spaces.

As he walked, he greeted his family and suddenly a call stole his attention. It was his friend Andrey from France.

—What a pleasure to listen to you friend! How are you? Huang asked.

They talked a little, and Andrey asked:

—Are your grandparents okay? —When will they visit us?

—I'll stay for a while longer.— My grandparents are old and I have to take care of them,— Yang said.

—Dude, we need to catch up.

—Yes, how is your mother? —It would be an honor to have you in Lijiang...

Yang's grandparents talked over a cup of tea.

—We're lucky to have Huang Yang, he is a good son, —one of them said.

The lights adorned the sky, the cherry blossom trees gave it a magical atmosphere. Some relatives came to the grandparents' home and shared some time with them. Mei took Snowflake, a cat of various shades, in her arms.

—How is my family? — she asked, and adds: —Cousin, do you know that tomorrow we will have a celebration?

—Yes, I didn't forget your birthday, —Yang replies.

—Cousin, you know my tastes, —she said running.

— Know! —he smiles.

—Son!, come share with us.

—Grandparents, my great friend Andrey will come soon and will accompany him to his mother. He wants to do some research, —Yang says.

—Son, that young man is very kind to visit us. —says the grandfather.

—Dear nephew, Lijiang's story is the best. We will help you.

—Thanks, archeology is his specialization. Andrey is very interested in our past.

Already washing the dishes, Mei asks him: — What's wrong cousin?

—I don't know, suddenly an image was reflected.

—¿What did you see?

—Don't be careful, it will be because of tiredness.

—Let me help you. You're right, it's a reflex —replies Mei.

But he wonders what is it? However, they are one of those shapes that have haunted him since he was a child, and they became more determined. He would ask his grandparents, since on one occasion he heard his parents talk about his lineage.

He retired to say goodbye to his uncles. Mei is outgoing and a music lover, and she is happy for the party they are having for her. There are many guests and she wants her best friend to meet her cousin. And she in a loud voice tells him: —Cousin, ¡you are the best!

— Shut up, —the father tells him. —You'll bother the neighbors.

—¡Oh dad! , I'm happy. Years are not celebrated every day.

Opening the car door, Huang Yang despite Mei with a wave of his hands. He goes to his room and turns on his computer. Some jobs he does from his house, he looks at his networks and the information he needs. He passes his hand over his head noticing a bit tired, drinks some water, swings in his chair and looks through the windows. He thinks about everything a bit, but what he didn't know was that fate would change his life. He looks at the gift he has for Mei. He knows that she is a good girl.

The morning is in all its splendor, he leaves ready to exercise. He warms up a bit and he starts running. The place is refreshing. He greets some neighbors and Zhang Huaixian who follows his lead. He's a good conversational guy, but he speeds up leaving him behind.

—Mr. Huang, ¡wait for me!, my heart is sold

—Run, you can. We've only made a little progress. —Huang Yang answers.
