23 Chapter 23

Mr. and Mrs. Cortez, Amanda, and the Torres cousins decided to go home so Blake can rest. They were not surprised when Andy told them that she will stay with Blake. Ace also went home.

"How are you feeling?" Andy worriedly asked Blake. They were lying on the bed side side. "I'm fine, a little dizzy and a little weak." Blake said. "You wanna eat something?" Andy asked. "No, my stomach feels like it's full." Blake said. "Uncle Dante told me that those will be the side effects of the pills given to you." Andy said. "Who's Uncle Dante?" Blake said puzzled. "Oh, he's the Director of these hospital and he's a family friend." Andy said and Blake nodded.

"Did you cry so much for me?" Blake said teasing Andy. "Yes! I thought you will not wake up." Andy said with her tears starting to well in her eyes again. Blake hugged Andy tightly to comfort her. He didn't want to see Andy crying. "I never thought that Jessica will do that." Blake said. Andy told him what had happened. "We knew each other a long time ago. I befriended her trying to ignore her feelings for me. I really can't believe that she became greedy of me." Blake said. Andy kept quiet. "Am I really that handsome?" Blake said that made Andy giggled. He wanted to change the topic because he felt the stiffness of Andy's body.

After a little talk, Andy saw Blake's sleepiness. She embraced Blake and place her face on his neck. "Let's sleep." Andy said. Blake didn't answered but wrapped his arms on Andy's body. After few minutes, they were both sleeping well.

Ace was their first visitor early morning. They were still on bed when he arrived. "Boss, I brought your clothes." Ace said. "Have you inform my assistants of what happened." Blake asked. "Yes, Boss. Don't worry, everything will be under control. You should rest to regain your strength." Ace said.

"Do you want something?" Andy said. "Yes, you." Blake said smiling. "I'm serious, Blake!" Andy said. "I'm serious too." Blake said teasing Andy. Andy gave him an angry squint. He's feeling much better and he has the energy to annoy Andy. Ace was happy seeing his Boss already fine.

"Boss, I have to go. I need to visit the three restaurants and of course, take care of the kids." Ace said. Andy was puzzled. "You have kids, I thought you're single?" Andy asked. Blake laughed. "He's talking about Max's and Molly's puppies." Blake said laughing. "Oh, thank you for taking care of Max too. I missed him a lot." Andy said.

From the time, Molly gave birth to their puppies, she let Max stayed on Blake's house. She wanted Max enjoy being a father.

"Don't worry, when the puppies grew older and ready to be given away, I'll let Max and Molly stay with you or...?" Blake said not completing the last sentence. "Or?" Andy asked. Blake smile and hugged Andy who's currently feeding him the porridge bought by Ace downstairs. "Stayed with me at my house." Blake said. Andy's eyes widened. "Dream on, Mr. Cortez!" Andy said that made Blake laughed.

Ace decided to go out. He was out of place on the couple inside the room.

After eating, Blake decided to take a shower and changed. Andy smelled his freshness coming out from the bathroom. "Hhhhmmmm, smells nice." Andy said sniffing Blake's scent. Blake embraced Andy. "Hhhmmm...smells bad." Blake said smiling. Andy pinched Blake side. "Smells bad,huh?" Andy releasing herself from Blake's embrace. "Even when you stink, you're still beautiful." Blake said not letting go of Andy.

The door opened and Uncle Dante came in together with his staff. The nurses and the doctor on duty was surprised seeing the two embracing shamelessly. Uncle Dante smiled. "I think our patient is coping well especially when his with a beautiful lady." Uncle Dante said. Andy blushed and pushed away Blake.

"Uncle Dante, this is Blake Cortez." Andy said. The two man shook hands. "Nice to meet you doctor." Blake said. "It's my honor to meet the man who caught this lovely girl's heart." Uncle Dante said. "So, when can I hear wedding bells?" Uncle Dante continued. "Uncle!?" Andy said that made the man laughed because Andy was blushing hard.

"You can go home tomorrow after the final lab tests. But you can't go back to work right after because you will still feel dizzy sometimes. You should rest at least a week more." Uncle Dante said. Blake nodded. "Andy, don't let your boyfriend overstress himself." Uncle Dante continued and Andy nodded. After reminding of the do's and dont's after the hospital discharge, Uncle Dante left the room.

Minutes later, Andy's parents came.

"How are you, Blake?" Mr. Torres asked. "I'm good, Uncle." "How about the girl who harmed you?" Mrs. Torres asked. "I told my assistant to do what is necessary." Blake answered.

"Andy, Liam said he can't come because he has to attend a meeting in his office so we're the once who brought your clothes." Mrs. Torres said handling a paper bag to Andy. "Thanks, mom. I'll go change because my patient told me that I stunk." Andy gave an angry squint to Blake. Her parents laughed.

While Andy's in the bathroom, Blake's parents arrived. Blake introduced both parties and started to have a conversation.

Andy finished her bathing and went outside. She was startled seeing Blake's parents. She gave her respect to the oldies and sat beside Blake on the couch arm. Blake wrapped his arms on Andy's waist, while the latter held Blake's hands. Seeing the couple's sweetness, the oldies looked at each other with wide smiles.

"So, when do you plan to get married?" Andy's dad asked. Andy's eyes became wide. "Dad!?" Andy said. "Why? I'm just asking." Andy's dad said teasing her. "Blake, when you will ask my daughter's hand?" Mr. Torres continued. "Dad, stop it!" Andy said while blushing. "I'll cross the bridge when I get there, Uncle. For now, me and Andy are happy and contented." Blake said. "I'm excited to see my grandchildren." Andy's mom said. "Mom!? Oh my, why are my parents like this." Andy said, her face became tomato red in color and the room was filled with laughters.
