22 Chapter 22

Blake was brought to the nearest hospital. He was still unconscious arriving at the ER. The staffs were astonished by Blake's handsome face and Andy's beautiful visage.

The ambulance crew hurriedly place Blake at the ER bed. The nurse checked his vitals and retained the oxygen mask in him.

"Excuse me, Miss. What happened?" The resident doctor asked. "Where's Uncle Dante?" Instead of answering the question of the doctor, she looked for a person. The staffs looked at each other not familiar with the name. Andy frowned. "Where's Doctor Mendrez?" Andy said shouting. Hearing the name, the staff were shocked not only because of Andy's loud voice but also hearing from her the name of the Director of the hospital. "Ma'am, he's currently in a meeting." The nurse awkwardly said. "Call him, right now!" Andy said with angry voice. The nurse, because of fear, hurriedly dialled the intercom connecting to the Director's office. "Good evening, Doctor! There's someone who's looking for you." The nurse said and Doctor Mendrez felt fear in the nurse's voice. "Who is it?" Dr. Mendrez asked. The nurse looked at Andy because she doesn't know what to say to the question being asked. Andy was really annoyed, she snatched the intercom and said, "Uncle Dante!". The line was cut because Dr. Mendrez hurriedly went out his office leaving his companions puzzled.

"What happened?" Dr. Mendrez was at the ER instantly. When Andy saw him, her tears started to fall. Her Uncle Dante embrace her and patted her back. "Don't worry, he'll be ok. Doctor, do the necessary tests, I want the results as fast as possible!" Dr. Mendrez said that the ER staffs moved as if there's no tomorrow.

Dr. Mendrez guided Andy outside the ER. They sat at the benches in the lobby. "Who is he?" Dr. Mendrez asked. "My boyfriend." Andy said sobbing. Dr. Mendrez smiled. "Tell me what happened." Dr. Mendrez said and Andy told the story still sobbing.

"Doctor, here's the result." The resident doctor said. Uncle Dante and Andy already finished talking. "Hmmm...sleeping pills overdose. Thank you doctor." Dr. Mendrez said. "I think the girl intended to make Blake fall asleep but she's not aware of what the danger it would cause." Dr. Mendrez said that made Andy became serious. "Relax, you don't need to worry too much. We already administered enough fluids to counteract the effects of the pills. He will gain his consciousness later this night or early dawn tomorrow." Dr. Mendrez said tapping Andy's shoulder.

Blake was admitted and was moved to the VIP suite chose by Andy. When her Uncle Derek and his staff left, she immediately dialled Ace's number and informed what happened. Ace was startled at first hearing that his Boss was harmed but hurriedly called Blake's parents and sister.

After informing Ace, Andy also called Liam.

Andy was in deep thought when the door opened. Liam and the rest of her cousins came in. Sawing Liam, she embraced him and cried. "Hey, he'll be ok. Stop crying." Liam said patting Andy's back. Her cousins felt that Andy loved Blake so much. They never saw Andy crying hard. They knew that Andy was a strong girl and seeing her in that state, they can't avoid being mad to the person who harmed Blake. "He's strong like a bull, when he wakes up, as if nothing happened." Chael said to lighten up the mood. Andy stop crying but still sobbing.

The door opened again, Ace came in followed by Amanda and two middle age person. Amanda and the two person move towards Blake's bed. The woman slowly touched Blake's face. Missing his son so much and seeing him unconscious made her heart ached. Tears fell from her eyes. The man held Blake's hand and lightly squeezed it. Amanda looked around and when she saw Andy, she smiled but furrowed her forehead. "What happened to your eyes?" Amanda asked. Andy just smiled.

"By the way, these are our dad and mom." Amanda continued. "Nice to meet you, Sir, Ma'am." Andy politely said. "Dad, mom, she's Andy." Amanda said. "Come here." Mrs. Cortez said. Andy move towards Blake's mom and she was surprised when the woman embraced her. "What did Blake do that made your eyes like that?" Mrs. Cortez asked that made Andy smiled. Andy saw Amanda's questioning eyes looking at her cousins. "I'm sorry, please meet my cousins." Andy said. "Good evening, Sir, Ma'am." The Torres cousins said altogether. Amanda and her parents smiled. "So, your the great Toress riders that my brother was really proud of." Amanda said.

All of them were busy talking when Andy excuse herself together with Liam. They went outside to talk. After the two left, Mrs. Cortez approached her son, touching again his face. Suddenly, Blake's eyes opened slowly. "Blake? Honey?" Mrs. Cortez said that made the rest in the room move towards the bed. Blake's awake but a little groggy. "Mom?" Blake said. "Yes, honey, I'm here." Mrs. Cortez said with teary eyes. Blake looked around and furrowed her forehead. "Where's Andy?" Blake said that made the people around him smiled.

"Andy?" Amanda called. Liam and Andy were seriously talking outside the room. They turned around and saw Amanda smiling. "Blake is awake." Amanda said. Andy hurriedly came in and when she saw Blake sitting on the bed, she immediately hugged him and cried. Blake embraced Andy tightly. "I'm sorry." Blake whispered to Andy's ear. Andy looked at Blake. "It's not your fault." Andy said. "Stop crying, your eyes were already swollen." Blake said while caressing her back. The people around them were smiling. Both Mr. and Mrs. Cortez were looking at each other with meaningful smiles on their faces.
