Alex shook his head and turned his face away to the other side. He pretended as if he didn't hear her speak. Melissa held his shoulder with one hand. And then turned his face towards her by holding his chin using her other hand. She then looked straight into his eyes. She noticed the fear in his eyes for the first time. She took his hand and placed it on her hand.

"You promised! So, don't talk about dying so easily from now on," She insisted and walked towards the nurse.

"Let's go," She said and went along with the nurse to do further tests.

"I told you she is strong and she will be fine. Your worry is for nothing. I don't know about you, but I believe in miracles," Jayden patted his shoulders.

Alex could not understand why everyone around him was saying, Melissa is strong and I don't have to worry. How could he not be concerned about her? She is his life and he could not imagine a world without her.
