Promise of Love

Howard Agustin Daniels was an Irish man, ash blonde hair, blue eyes, 25 years old and a handsome tall gentleman. He just arrived in the City of England and was about to ride a boat to reach the East part of China to meet his grandmother whose a Chinese, but married to Irish man his grandfather Agustin Daniels. They've lived in Ireland for a very long time but after their twin son and daughter have reached the age of 21 his grandparents decided to moved back to China.

As he board the big ship, he find himself wondering in awe of its wonderful mechanic structure. As he go around the deck area he notice a beautiful girl whose skin are like white porcelain, her long black hair is dancing in the wind and though she's smaller and petite among the ladies he knows in his country he was captivated.

Her angelic voice can be slightly heard as she sung a song in the upper deck of the shipping boat. The language of the song is a little bit unrecognizable to him but Howard knows that it's more likely similar his grandmother's native tongue.

"What a beautiful voice! ... Such a beautiful person". Howard told himself. He slowly approach her trying to not disturb her singing as he was feeling the warmth in every lyrics of the song.

The girl felt a familiar presence of someone behind her back and she stopped and looked at the person and a little shocked to see the man in daze in front of him.

"I'm sorry if I disturb you".

I don't mean anything I was captivated by the voice and the lyrics of the song". Howard then remembered that she might not have understand his word and was slightly in panicked.

The girl smiled at the man as she understood the words he meant and spoke to him. " I see, I understand".

Howard felt relieve as he continues. "I'm Howard Daniels!, I'm sorry! really sorry for disturbing you?".

The girl kept smiling and slightly giggle at the young man who is still a little anxious explaining himself.

It's alright I guess! you don't have to worry about it?". She then started to walk ba7ck inside when the young man asked her

"What's your name?"

"And the song you just sing?".

Howard was surprised of himself he never makes a move first and hit on woman whom he just first met. But he does not know what to do about it.

"The song is called 'Promise of Love', and my name is ..."

A man's voice came behind her "Lulu your here! your father is looking for you!". He slightly grab her hand and an animosity can be felt in his eyes as s he glares at Howard.

Ah Jerry I was just on my way back from sight seeing" I was lost in the beautiful scenery outside when I met mister Howard".

Hi I'm Howard Daniels!".

"Jerry Taylor Lulu's fiance". Jerry smirked at Howard as wanted to check in and see how he would react to it.

Lulu was a little anxious inside her mind about what Jerry said but decided not to repute the man and freed herself from his hand.

Nice meeting you Mr. Howard Daniels" she smiled at him and then left the two.

Jerry slightly whisper to Howard Daniels and said. Don't get closed to her, this is not a warning it's a treat. He then followed Lulu back inside the ship.

Howard was surprised and annoyed with Jerry's words but then he still remains standing to the place where she saw her. Her voice, hair, face and smile she just showed him. Howard felt something inside him and he wants to keep seeing her and also listen to her song. As he started to walk back to his quarter he felt a little sad remembering the man who said to be his fiance.

Lulu was a little angry she hated Jerry and she knew what kind of person he really is but her family is still trying to get them together. She walked faster so she can avoid him but he still catch up to her.
