Watching From Sidelines

He recalled and found that they were indeed not lit.

"Sigh, looks like our maids are some geniuses!", after saying this he yawns and falls asleep.

Julian had understood that the maids were not done fools, they too had some extraordinary brains and skills that allowed them to hide themselves so perfectly that not even a single movement was discovered.

Both of them were now asleep and the maids went back to their works which was left to finish.

The remaining maids went back to sleep as it was past their work time and only 2-3 maids remained who were supposed to stay during nights to watch over them if they needed anything.

Slowly time passed and it was morning soon.

"Mhm..." Emilia was sleeping peacefully while mumbling something while Seria was awake and was looking at her cute face.

"I wonder how long will you sleep, Emi."

She kept looking at her when the maid suddenly knocked and entered.

"Good morning your highness.", she bowed and was speaking as usual.

"Ya, good morning."

"Eh?", she suddenly gave an odd reaction after hearing her say good morning back to her.

It was quite a shock to her since this was the first time it had happened. She had gone out for a day yesterday and had returned at late night only when the rest of the maids were asleep.

Morning she woke up and got changed after washing her maker thoroughly when the other maids were talking about Seria.

She was shocked because they were appreciating her instead of ridiculing her as usual which she felt to be odd.

Some of them were saying that Seria has changed but Kiara, the maid, didn't believe because no matter what they do, a person such as Seria can't be changed in a single night.

But when she heard her greet back, she though the otherwise.

She couldn't believe her ears and wanted to confirm it so she asked, "Your highness, would like to have breakfast with his highness today?"

She was a bit hesitant to ask since she would never go out if her room to eat with Alex. She would rather starve than go somewhere else to eat.

On top of that it was believed that she enjoyed eating alone all by herself since she could relief her stress and eat calmly without worrying about others.

"Hmm, ask him whether he is free or not. If he is then we can have breakfast together..."

"Eh!!?", she couldn't believe her ears again. She really didn't think that Seria would accept this thing and would want Kiara to go out if her way to ask Alex for breakfast.

In fact all she expected was a clear rejection as she would usually do.

"Yes, I will go and ask his highness right away."

She immediately left with a shicked edpression on her face. As she walked towards Alex's Room the maids kept on asking about her shocked expression which she couldn't explain to them.

She herself had now finally accepted that Seria has changed but somewhere in her heart she still felt that this couldn't have been possible unless a miracle would have occurred.

She immediately asked the maids about the sudden change in Seria.

"Tell me, while I was away, did something happen to her highness?", she asked to a maid who was dusting the place.

She immediately nodded and said, "Something did happen! It seems that she found her angel!"

She laughed while saying this and immeditekybwent ahead to continue her work.

Unable to understand this Kiara asked to another maid about it and she too replied the same.

"What the heck? Have all gone crazy?"

All of them were in a good mood as if they were all happy and had gone some weird transformation.

She wanted to find out the truth about the matter so she went to another maid for a last try and repeated her question.

The maid who was arranging the flowers immediately replied with a gentle tone saying, "It is probably due to Princess Emilia."

"Eh?", the maid couldn't believe what she heard yet again. She wondered as how could this have been possible.

It was because she knew that Seria hated Emilia so it would have the opposite effect if they meet then how could this make her happy!

"Don't tell me, princess Emilia died?"

Kiara could think of this as the only possibility as the other ways wouldn't have been possible according to her.

She now was confused but thought if first asking his highness about dinner and later continuing the interrogation.

'Knock knock'

"Come in."

The maid enters slowly and bows in front of Alex who was doing some paper work early in the morning.

"Good morning your highness..."

"Good morning."

"Eh!!?", Kiara was yet again shocked as even the king was greeting her back. Usually he would either nodded his head or not even given any reaction to her words but even he was joe greeting her back.

"Um... your highness, is your schedule free today?"

Alex immediately shook his head and said, "I don't think so. There will be a meeting held soon so I have to leave anyway... on top of that some important matters will be discussed with Jonathan..."

"Hmm...", she just nodded her head and started thinking deeply upon seeing which Alex immediately asked, "Why? Is something the matter?"

"Yes your majesty, her highness wanted to have breakfast with you so she had sent me to ask if you were free but after seeing you so busy it appears that you are quite bu—"

Even before she could finish her sentence, Alex immediately replied, "I am free today!"

"Huh? But didn't you say just now that..."

"I was kidding... the meeting is at evening so if I leave by afternoon is also fine. At least we can have breakfast together today."

"..."

"Go inform her that we will be having breakfast together today. Also inform the chef to prepare something extraordinary."

"As you wish."

She left immediately after bowing and closed the door. She paused for a minute and then said, "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH EVERYONE TODAY!!?"
