8 Past

Luna's pov:

What unbelievable this is crazy. I wave back at Alex.

"Do you guys know each other already?" Asked the teacher.

"Yeah, I met her yesterday." Alex proudly states that in the class.

"Take a seat, Alex. I hope your grades are as good as your looks." Sarcastic states the teacher.

Ouch, that must hurt Alex in some way. He walks off laughing and takes a seat behind me.

After some minutes someone ticks on my shoulder which makes me turn around.

"Hey, remember you told me you would show me around? Can you do that after the lesson?" Alex whispered.

I stare at him and nodded yes my head.

Aiden starts coughing fake so that the teacher would look in our direction and scream at me for chatting in the classroom.

"Sir, I need to go to the toilet. Can I?" I quickly react putting my hand in the air.

"We just started class, Luna" he looks irritated at me.

"Go on but quickly come back to your class. This time it's an exception. Next time, I won't let you go."

"Yes, sir. Thank you" I look at Aiden and stick my tongue at him.

He rolls his eyes and I slowly walk out of the classroom making a winning dance.

After some minutes of being in the toilet, I walk out.

On my way to the classroom, I come across Aiden who is pinching his nose. There is blood on his uniform.

I run towards him and ask if he is alright. He didn't respond to me. I just grabbed him by his shoulder and walk him to the nurse.

After she gave him treatments she gave him a whole year's speech.

"You should take of yourself Aiden. You that very well that this is the first time or second I am telling you this" the nurse sighs at him.

I'm am sitting opposite them and listen not say a single word. The next the nurse said shocked me.

"Aiden, I know that you skip your meals and the worse is that you overstudy. I know your father is expecting a lot from you but please take care of yourself" she sounds very serious.

I am just shocked sitting there like some lost puppy.

She looks my way and gives me a big smile.

"Did you bring your girlfriend today? She is very pretty and the first person you ever came with." The nurse got me red.

She called me pretty and his girlfriend. I don't know what to say back. I just laugh friendly.

"Don't flatter yourself. I'm going back to class." Aiden looks me in the eyes and walks off.

He must always ruin my mood.

"Are you Aiden's friend?" The nurse asked me.

"Yeah, sort of. We're in the same class group and sit together" me saying this just realized me that I am always around him in school.

"You must be special to him. You are the first girl he took here. I can see the spark around you guys when you are talking to each other." She smiles

"It's nothing that it looks like. We are not even close and we always fight." I tell her the truth.

"Take care of him, he went through a lot. I know him since he was a little kid. He was a happy kid but that slowly faded away when his mother left him" the nurse told me this as if she was his sister and got through it with him.

I feel some heat coming inside my body and tears in my eyes.

This proves that we can always be proven wrong about what we see.

I thought that Aiden was a perfect dude with a completely different lifestyle from us but I am wrong.

"I'm sorry, I am quite emotional," I told her wiping my tears. The nurse came to me and tapped on my shoulder hoping that it will give some comfort.

"I know how he feels. I have lost my mum and..." I burst into tears from the pain.

She hugged me and told me that everything is going to be alright.

"How about you go home and take a rest? I will talk to the teacher"

"Thank you" I sniff.

"But I will go back to my lessons. I have a half day today." I insist on going home.

"Alright, go wash your face and I will talk to the teacher because you are going late back to the lessons." She smiles and leaves.

When I looked at myself in the mirror I saw that my eyes had swollen up from all that crying. My face became red and I feel the warmth coming from my body but I feel cold at the same time.

Aiden's pov:

I went outside and stood smiling against the wall thinking about what the nurse said.

No way she thought that we were a couple. I caught myself smiling again.

"What is wrong with me these days?" I ask myself quietly.

I wanted to look at what Luna was doing inside but I heard them talking about me.

I went close to the door and listened to what we're saying about me.

I know this is wrong but they are talking about my past and I couldn't just leave like that.

Minutes passed by and I heard Luna crying. Her story shed my heart into pieces.

I know now why she works so hard.

I must have to be an arrogant and selfish jerk towards her.

Yet, she never gave up on life while having it hard. She has a harder life than me.

I don't know what to say but I can't just walk inside and say something about this.

I don't want her to know that I heard this. She has always thought of me as a jerk anyways.

I slowly walk back to class. "Have you seen Luna on your way back? She has been gone for a long time now" the teacher asked me, but I didn't answer him and sat back on my chair.

"Does anyone know where Luna is?" He shouts aloud in class to get everyone's attention.

Someone knocks on the door and the teacher walked outside.

Luna walked inside.

Luna's pov:

The moment I stepped inside, I felt everyone's eyes on me.

"She cried her eyes out." One boy pointed laughing at me as if he's a kid that's from elementary school.

"Did you got dumped by your boyfriend? Oh wait, you never got one" he said again in an annoying accent and everybody laughed this time.

"Really funny Brian, as if you ever had one" I fired him back and that class started to say "ooh".

"Hey, come on. I was just playing around... Uhm you doing need to roast me like that" he whined back.

"Enough guys, take a break and I will see you guys back" the teacher came inside.

"Hey, what happened to you?" Mia rushed to me and hugged me.

Beth also came and hugged me from behind.

"Guys I'm so emotional too. I don't want to leave you guys here." Said Beth said sadly.

"I'm so thankful to have you two as friends"

"Ahh," Mia hugged tighter.

"Let's go to my house and say our goodbyes there my friends. I have a lot of things to say and do" said Beth again.

"Can we just go? How about the next lessons Beth?" Mia asked her.

"I took early leave today so you guys can come with me. Come guys" said Beth exciting.

I took a look at Aiden's leave. Our eyes met for a second. I know that he will not come to the party tonight.

I'm still thinking about what the nurse told me earlier today. I feel sorry for him.

"You can take any clothes you want my girls. There is a nice off-shoulder dress, it will suit you, Luna." Beth takes a red off-shoulder dress and puts it against my body.

"I'm not sure about this"

"Don't be shy, take it it's yours now. I have some more clothes and heels for you two" she points at a wardrobe.

She opens it and... It has so many clothes and heels and bags inside.

"Don't tell me that you didn't want a single one of this!" My mouths fall open when I saw that the items had their price cards on them.

"Yeah... I have too many clothes. Luna this is your wardrobe and Mia has another one." beth laughs proudly.

"Holy Ghost, YES!" Mia jumps up and down from joy.

"Luna, let me be honored to do your makeup. You are the only one who doesn't wear any in our class and is still pretty."

"Girl stop your make me blush" I chuckle.

"I am going to show you, my boyfriend, tonight" Mia danced around.

"Did you invite him?" I am surprised by her saying that she has a boyfriend.

"Yes, he said he will take his friend with him. Did I tell you girls that my boyfriend goes to the same school like us?" Mia talks like we knew that.

"I would like to see him before I go. Let's finish dressing up. I'm happy today" beth smiles.
