*tap, tap, tap* the ground sounded underneath me as I was running. *Gunshot* *screaming*

"Ahhh!" I screamed as I woke up. 'It was a dream.' I thought to myself as I got out of bed and checked my phone. It was 5:00 am on a Tuesday.

I was wearing a black crop top and light blue shorts with my black tennis shoes. I also put my hair in a high ponytail. After I got dressed and went down stairs.

Hi, my name is verity, I'm eighteen years old and I live alone.

After I ate breakfast, I went outside to go for a run at sunrise. "Hey verity! Why are you up so early?" Someone asked. I look to my right. it's my best friend Noelle.

"Hey Noelle, I had a nightmare so I woke up not to long ago. Why are you up so early?" I asked her. "Well-" she began. "Let me guess, your parents wanted you to plant more trees and flowers." I said. "Yeah that's exactly what they said. You know you are kinda creepy sometimes." She said to me with a yawn. I laughed. "Well what are you going to do?" She asked me. "Oh I'm going for a run to pass some time." I said to her. "Seriously verity, this early in the morning?" she asked me with another yawn. "Yes minty, this early in the morning. The sun is rising, and you know I love taking walk and runs late at night or early in the morning." I explained to her as I bent down to tie my shoes so I don't trip and fall on my run and break my foot or my rib.

"Yeah Yeah, I know and I thought I told you to stop calling me that when we were twelve." She told me, while I laughed. "Yeah I know but that doesn't stop you from calling me a my little pony." I said in an annoyed tone. "Pffft ok that's actually funny!" she said as she started laughing.

"Ok bye minty, Im going to get going on my run. You have flowers and trees to plant anyway." I said waving at her. "Bye Mrs. diamond!" She said laughing and waving at me. "Oh shut up!" I said annoyed, then I said "bye minty!" Then I started jogging as soon as I put in my earbuds and started to listen to some music. 'Hmm I wonder who lives there, maybe one day minty and I could be friends with them.' I thought as I pasted the house that was to the left of my house.
