2 New Family

"Levin! Where are you?"

The sounds of his footsteps can be heard as he steps on the dead leaves and twigs that's scattered all over the ground. Few broken cracks can be heard now and then as the boy walks around. Looking left and right, even at the top to see if there's anyone hiding at the tree trunk again. He knew that Levin is a good climber but his father had already scolded the boy few weeks ago when Levin had fallen off when he had misplaced his foot when climbing it.

If his older brother is here from the capital, he would have laugh it off and says that few scars will help to shape a boy into a man. But their father has always been protective while their mother is the one that always encouraged them to go wild and experience new things.

How amusing it is that their role has been switch from the people opinions on how a mother and father should actually be.

"Levin! It's getting dark, let's go back." He calls his ward once more.

Not far from where he is standing, Levin is hiding behind the trees. Covering his mouth with both his hands to suppress the sound of his giggles when he heard his brother calling for him. It has been a fun little game of his to hide at any part of territory and made his cousin, Sky to find him. Since Sky has always been busy, sticking his nose up to the books. Levin got bored since he has no one to played with. Brother Rain used to played with him when he was a kid but he then got busy in the capital with his duties as a knight. Plus, he also has to mingle with the crowds at every opportunity to find a suitable candidate of a bride since he is an adult now.

Sky has two brothers from his knowledge, brother Rain and brother Reynold. Brother Reynold is already married to his wife and currently managing their family fief a few miles away while his wife stay at home to accompany his aunt. They always having tea together and have something to gossip about so he doesn't find spending time with them interesting. He did once trying to join in their talk but the only fascinating thing he finds are the cakes and snacks. Don't get him wrong, they both are nice and likes to spoil him but he just couldn't understand woman.

As for his uncle, who is a blood relative, the first cousin of his mother did try to spend some time with him but always end up having to cancel to finish his work. But in the least he tries to make up for it by giving him a horse as a present. Which he named Lily, because the horse is white in colour. Brother Rain did try to made him change his mind about the horse name just because the horse is a male but Levin finds it too funny that do so. His aunt just laughed it off and told her sons to leave it be.

Levin still remembers the first time he met his Uncle Roland. Dress in an expensive black suit when he attended his mother funeral, paying for everything even when the grave keeper say that it is not needed. After she got buried underground is when his uncle kneel to the ground, causing some dirt to stick on his pants without care.

"My name is Roland Andrade." He said that day. "I am a close family of your mother, will you let me take you in? As a family."

Not knowing if he could trusted the man, Levin keeps quiet as he continues to stare at him.

"Your mother, Rosebelle is a precious family of mine. We have been together since we were still in our mother tummies." He gives a soft chuckles while a small smile form on the boy face. "I was in shock a few days ago when a letter send by her name arrives at my manor, saying that she has a son that she wishes for me to take care off if she is gone. Nobody could ever imagine how fast I was in running out from my home to pack everything just so I could see her again."

Slowly and carefully he takes the boy hands, holding it delicately as if he might break it.

"Even though I never got the chance to talk to her again, I want to at least has the chance to care for son. Her only flesh and blood in this world."

Never in his life he thought he will have another family other than his own mother. Desperate and scared of being alone he accepted his uncle invitation and live in his new home. Different from the small house from the village, his uncle house is huge. Bigger than the village itself, territory expended far that he will need to ride a carriage just to see the whole area. Which he had never finish exploring until now, making him wonder how could someone as rich as his uncle could possibly be related to his mother.

Did something happen? The only explanation he got was that his mother suddenly disappears for about a decade, they never knew she was pregnant or who the father is. Even though he is a bastard, his uncle family cares and love him like he is one of their own. Aunt at first seems shock, asking her husband lots of questions whether he is uncle love child. It takes a lot of convincing before she believes that Levin is a distant relative and warmth up to the child.

"Have some soup." Was her first words to him.

Brother Rain, brother Renold and Sky didn't take long to likes him instantly. It was Sky who reaches out his hand first to greet him as their age are close to one another.

"Mother said that you're my new little brother. I have always wanted one." Sky said that day, excited that he can have someone to look for as his brothers had done for him.

Remembering back the old days, Levin never noticed that Sky is right behind him, creeping out from behind the trees before he jump out and wrap his arms tightly around the younger boy. Causing them both to fall head on the ground with a thump. Levin was at first in shock before he laughs it off as they both wrestle on the ground, trying to beat off each other.

"Not fair!" Levin tries to fight off. "You're taller than me!"

"Who asks you to be short?" Sky replies, rustling the boy hair till it become a mess.

They wrestle a bit more, forgetting the time but when a shadow suddenly covers them from behind. Both shiver in fear before slowly they turn to see an irritated woman known as Aunt Lisa.

"Do you know that it is pass curfew?" She asked, each words like venom. Crawling under their skin making them pale as they watch her eyebrows twitching in irritation. "Both of you are in big trouble!"

Those two boys then later got dragged back inside, with painful pinch in each of their ears.
