The Perpetrator

"What brings his highness, consort Taejoo here at the emperor's study hall?" Asked the eunuch by the door.

The two other soldier has their guards up.

"The emperor has sought for my audience. Announce my arrival." Taejoo stated.

The eunuch looked at the two soldiers, then gave him a nod.

"The second imperial princess' consort, prince consort Taejoo, has arrived." The eunuch by the door of the emperor announced, as Taejoo has commanded.

Taejoo released a deep and burdened sigh. He felt exhausted all of the sudden.

"I have arrived, your majesty." Taejoo made known his presence.

The emperor who's his focus was on his table as he writes something, was now directed to the consort. He stood in front of the emperor without an expression on its face. He stared at his father-in-law— the mighty emperor, blankly.
