11 Finally feels like I have a family

Hateful husband. "Tsk." Ye Beom unconsciously flicked her tongue.

"Did the two of you had an argument?" Crown prince Eunhyun asked then he chuckled.

"No brother. It is not like that. And we've never had a chance talk to each other to begin with." Princess Ye Beom reasoned out.

"Never? You say?"

"Hmm yeah."

"But why? How come? You two have been married for almost seven years!?" Crown prince Eunhyun exclaimed.

"Shhh brother! Keep your voice low!" She whispered. Then she looked at their back.

She saw her court ladies giggling. She sighs.

"Here is the thing. We somewhat... somehow, uhm. We somewhat distance ourselves to each other. And you know how unwilling I am to just accept people around, right?" She said feeling uneasy.

"We? Or just you?" Prince Eunhyun retorted, raising an eyebrow.

"I don't know. Maybe?" She shrugged.

Yeah right. After all what happened, you can only rely and trust no one other than me because we came from the same womb. But then, because of my foolishness, you've doubted me if I can be trusted and soon after you've grown distant from me. Just because of that accident. The crown prince sighs in devastation.

"Would it be hard for you to place your trust on me again, Ye Beom?" Eunhyun asked out of the blue. His eyebrows furrowing.

"Eh? Why would I place my trust to you again?

When in the first place I've never—"

"—you... never trusted me?" The crown prince heart sunken.

"N-n-no! Of course I did! What I was going to say is that, I've always trusted you." Princess Ye Beom paused as she thinks of what are the correct words to say to her brother. "I was just, scared and hurt and uhm.. disappointed. I'm sorry."

Yes truly. I'm sorry! Cross fingers.

"Don't say that. It was clearly my fault after all. I should have not let my guards down back then." He said as the two of them walk silently.

"Well, there is no point on reminiscing with out bitter past now, right? All that has happened 2 years ago is all in the past, let's just live in the present brother." Then Ye Beom beamed at the crown prince a wide bright smile.

"I almost forgot. I'm quite not familiar with the few faces of your court ladies. What has happened to the others?" Her brother asked in curiosity.

"I... do not know either. When I woke up after the poisoning incident, they were all replaced by some of mother's court ladies and only lady Joo-in was left among them. Quite confusing, isn't it?"

No actually, I know why they were all replaced. But I rather not say the reason. The princess thought then she gulped. He might tease me again for being a tyrannical princess if he heard about it. Haaaah...

"So may I presume that all this is the empress's action?" Crown prince Eunhyun asked.

"Ah! I'm not sure either. Hehe hehe." Princess Ye Beom nervously laughed.

"I see. Let us keep going." Eunhyun replied.

Thank goodness, how was I supposed to answer that?! It's a life and death question. Good thing I was able to dodge it. Phew... if only I was not his sister by mother, he would have doubted me.

"Yes brother!" Princess Ye Beom gladly replied.

A moments later. The second princess and the crown princess reached the Gwihan palace.

"You must head in now, Ye Beom." The crown prince said as he patted the second princess's head.

Ye Beom closed her eyes and smiled as the crown prince patted her. "Yes brother. You must head to your palace too. You must have a lot of work to do." She chuckled.

Crown prince Eunhyun groaned at the thought of his works. "Yeah right. I almost forgot about it for a split second. Well then, farewell! I'll see you next time." Then he waved to the princess a goodbye.

"Yes brother! Goodbye, and don't forget not to overwork too, okay? Bye!" Ye Beom shouts as she waved back at him.

Crown prince Eunhyun just chuckled at her and turned his back. Ye Beom saw the crown princess broad back disappearing as he goes farther away from her. She sighed.

It finally feels like I have a family. Then she smiled.

"Soohyun. Jang Soohyun. Let's head in and immediately prepare my bath." She commanded.

"Yes mistress." Soohyun responded.
