1 Chapter 1

ELENE

I woke up to the smell of burnt toast and that meant  my foster dad was cooking again, that was never good and I was to  clean up his mess,I was  brought out of My thoughts by a knock on the door

"Coming"

"Open up quickly" my foster mom said, I opened the door to reveal a smiling woman, that wasn't good

"Um mom what's the problem"

"I and your dad are going to the beach and you are in charge of the twins, oh and here is a list of things to do before you can go to school and make sure you wear your hood"

I took the list only to find 50 things to do

"What!,50!! But why? I won't be able to get to school on time"

"Look here Missy, I am your mom and we feed you and you do whatever I say " To call her my mom was an irony since she literally treats me like a maid and gives me to do lists that rolls out the front door

"Understood?"

"Yes Understood"

After that she left, I slumped into my bed, I always had to wear a hood,I always ask why but a always told me it was to stop me from interacting sometimes I wonder are they overprotective or what?, but still I never interacted I didn't even have a phone and I never come out of the house only when I'm dropping the twins or going to school other than that I never came out, I had given up on love a longtime ago but I keep longing for it, I keep asking of my real parents the only thing they told me was that they abandoned and the orphanage found me. I better get up if I don't want to be skewered into barbecue if my mom found me lying on the bed, when I got up I heard loud banging on my door

"Must be the twins" I muttered

And I was right cause as soon as I opened the door two 6 year olds jumped on me trying to tickle me, they were nothing like their monstrous parents

"Good morning Elene" they said after getting of me

"Morning" I said cause to me today wasn't a good morning

When they left I took a bath and brushed my teeth and quickly(to my surprise) finished everything on the list I took the twins to school on foot because our driver's car broke down, once I dropped them I walked quickly to school still in my hood as soon as I stepped inside I heard someone say

"Hey look everyone its little red riding hood" the person snickered

"Why don't u mind your business oh I think you better brush your teeth before leaving home cause your breath sure is mighty, it smells like Tuna" I seriously didn't believe i said that I barely talk at school but truly his breath was horrible, before I could argue any more I sprinted  to my class room instead of seeing my regular teacher "Mr big booty"--- I mean Mr Hank  (that's what we call him since his booty is always getting in the way) I saw a new teacher he looked like he was in his early forties, I quickly sat down and greeted him

" Good Morning Sir" I had to great him with the "Good" cause that will be rude if I don't, but even if I was rude he won't see my face cause the hood somewhat covered my face

"And good morning to you too, Now will the class introduce themselves to  me"  the teacher said one by one everyone introduced themselves and those who wore hoods like me were told to take it of so he could see their appearance cause he can't memorise all our names and it finally came to my turn

"I'm Elene Williams and I'm 13" I was seriously hoping he won't ask me to take of my hood but luck wasn't on my side today

"Excellent name Elene now could you take of your hood

I wanted to say something but the most disgusting boy in our class (Fred)  said

" what's wrong, cat got your tongue, or you're just afraid to show how ugly you are" with that he pulled my hood of, then it was followed by people staring at me in awe. Then out of the blues our receptionist bolted through the door panting

"Elene Williams your parents are requesting for you and you must be there within 10 minutes or I will be sacked" she ranted still panting

"Uh oh that's not good" still thinking of how to get there within 10 minutes

"How about you jump through the window like superman" Fred said stupidly he didn't know how desperate I get when I need and answer

"Good Idea" I said looking at the open window

"I didn't mean it" Fred said as he visibly paled but he couldn't finish it cause I jumped through the window and did a sprint back home, I had wasted 2 minutes and the run back home was 5 minutes when I finally arrived I was surprised to see them kneeling I wondered why I immediately understood and fell to my knees when I heard a thunderous voice speak to me

"Aha you came right on time now you foster parents must let her mingle with others so there will be no suspicion on why she isn't interacting and most importantly on her 14th birthday a secret will be revealed which I assume is May 9th, I nodded, she will know the truth good bye for now"  with that the voice stopped talking

"Well what are you waiting for, get back to school" my foster dad ordered

I found my self trying to run back to school when I heard footsteps running behind me then I heard foster dad shouting at me "STOP!!!"

I stopped and he walked towards me "oh boy I'm in trouble" I thought
