28 Yanno Yanagi

(Warning: this was all written on my phone so please point out all the mistakes I've made. I hope you enjoy your read.)

(Rin) "Haah."

I sigh as I eat my lunch with the company of Kuro and Midori. 5 minutes past 12. Don't ask how I know but I've always been able to tell the time without looking at the clock or anything. That and being able to time objects like a stopwatch were the only things unique about me in my past life. I guess I should be happy that some of me still remains, huh.

Anyway, It's already past noon and Amethyst hasn't arrived yet which leaves me a little annoyed.

I don't usually open the Home Economics room for business until its 12:10 so there's still time but I'm starting to think that she might've turned tail and ran away. Haaah, why can't things work out like planned?

(Yanno): "Hey Rin, I had a stomach ache, but I feel better now."

Yanno enters the Home Economics room after visiting the nurse's office. During our biology experiment, this morning, the guy suddenly felt sick so the teacher had to send him to the nurse's office to get checked.

(Rin): "You sure it was just a stomach ache? You looked like you were going to collapse there and you were sweating like mad."

As I said that, I tried to put my hand on Yanno's forehead to check his temperature but he swats it away with a look of annoyance.

(Yanno): "Don't touch me!"

The hell? What happened to him?

(Rin): "You ok dude? You've been acting weird for a while now."

I say that as calmly as I could while giving him a questioning look. I previously dismissed his behaviour as him not feeling well but now I'm having second thoughts. I wonder if this is some kind of side effect of not taking his eye drops?

(Yanno): "S-sorry... I don't know what's taken over me. Maybe I'll get some sleep after having something to eat."

Yanno says that whilst looking down in guilt. I wonder how I should cheer him up?

(Rin): "Oh, that reminds me, wanna come over to my place for dinner? I'm inviting club members and a few people from the Cram School over. Maybe you want to sleepover for the night? Of course, I'll be cooking for everyone"

I try to make my voice as gentle as possible. I wonder if this'll help him get better? Though it sounds like I'm bribing him with food.

(Yanno): "Cool sounds like a plan, but I'll go and take a nap first."

Yanno says that as he points to one of the chairs.

(Rin): "No problem. I'll make you something for your stomach ache."

With this, the club members and some of the Cram School students will be able to interact. Let's see how much of the storyline I call fuck up.

Is it bad that I genuinely want to see how much the story diverts? Well, I don't know if this world follows the manga or the anime but whatever world it is, I'll need support to make things easier for myself.

(Amethyst): "Um, excuse me."

Whilst I was having my little thoughts, I hear the door open with noise from the students queuing and a meek voice of Amethyst.

(Rin): "Took you long enough. Nervous?"

I ask immediately after noticing her flushed face. I wonder what she's thinking about? Probably about Yukio, huh.

(Amethyst): "I-I'm not nervous!"

Amethyst says that while her face becomes a deeper shade of red. Okay, let's not ask what's going on in her mind.

(Rin): "Ok that's good to know. I'll be opening up the room in a minute so get rid of all your worries and start a conversation with Yukio when I introduce you to him. Oh, by the way, I'm having a dinner party at my place and I'm inviting the club members and a few others to join. Use this as an opportunity to get closer Yukio or stuff."

Probably not the best advice but hopefully my influence will help Yukio and Amethyst to at least be good friends. Maybe Amethyst can become an emotional support for Yukio like Shiemi was for him in the manga before his breaking point.

(Rin): "The Okumura daily lunch shop is open for business!"

I open the double doors and greet the various students that come in. My relationship with everyone seems to have gotten better, which makes me wonder why I couldn't do it in my old life but I guess it's because of Rin's original confidence mixed with my mellow personality that made me who I am now.

Well, that's just another theory.

(Yukio): "Afternoon, Nii-san."

Shortly after handing out a few boxes and receiving payments from the students, Yukio showed up. Perfect, let's start this already.

(Rin): "Hey Yukio, here, have a seat."

I pointed at the seat between me and Amethyst. Whilst I was talking, I can hear students talking about us being brothers in the background but I ignore it. Haah, I guess I won't get used to this, huh.

(Yukio): "Oh, it's nice to see you again, Amethyst-san."

Oh, nice start. Yukio's starting the conversation, I just hope Amethyst can continue it without forcing it too much.

(Amethyst): "N-nice to see you too, Yukio-chan."

Hmm, it's probably a good idea to leave them to themselves at this point.

(Sorano): "Hey Rin!"

(Rin): "Hey Sora."

Just when I was thinking about my next plans, Sora showed up along with Kirihime. These two always stick together, huh.

(Rin): "Do the two of you ever leave each others side?"

I ask that question whilst receiving the money for the food.

(Sorano): "Why should we? Were both in the same dorm room, same clubroom and same classroom. We even sit next to each other in class We were meant to be!"

Sora says that with her usual enthusiasm. I wonder how long they've been like this? Are they also childhood friends or something?

(Rin): "How long have the two of you known each other."

(Kirihime): "2 years."

Kirihime says that whilst elegantly eating her food with the chopsticks. I seriously need to stop getting surprised whenever she replies to me with her short and simple answers.

(Sorano): "Yeah, we met in our first year. I transferred here during the first year and we sorta got stuck with each other and became best friends!"

As Sora says that, Kirihime nods her head as if to confirm her statement.

I talked with the two of them about miscellaneous stuff like homework and about the teachers until I look over to Yukio and Amethyst. Looks like they're enjoying each others company.

-Yukio's Pov, before he entered the room-

(Yukio): "Haah."

I sigh as I read the sign on the shop reading "Okumura daily lunch shop". I still can't believe Rin made a business and that his handwriting is much better than it used to be, though it's still a bit hard to read at certain places.

I open the door and I'm greeted by the pleasant smell of Rin's cooking. The brother of mine who once was a troublemaker by nature has grown up, huh. I still can't believe it.

I look towards the counter of Home Economics class and see Rin taking payments from the student and counting the change. Since when could Rin count? It's not like he couldn't but he was bad with dealing with change.

(Yukio): "Afternoon Nii-san."

I greet Rin who was serving the other customers. I hear the people in the background speak as if we aren't in front of them but I ignore it. Seriously, can I just go somewhere without having to deal with these annoying gossipers?

(Rin): "Hey Yukio, here, have a seat."

Rin says that as he serves me a boxed meal next to Amethyst-san.

(Yukio): "Oh, it's nice to see you again, Amethyst-san."

(Amethyst): "N-nice to see you too, Yukio-chan."

I greet Amethyst as I was about to eat my meal. I thought Rin would've kept me company but he soon leaves once he sees two girls. Some brother, who leaves his twin by himself for two girls he just found. Has he always been like that?

(Amethyst): "How has your day been, Yukio-chan?"

I get my thought process disturbed by Amethyst, who I forgot was still here.

(Yukio): "Nothing much, we covered Calculus during the morning and we'll be reviewing again in the afternoon. How has yours been?"

(Amethyst): "I had a chemistry lecture in the morning. The subject is interesting but the teacher didn't feel like he wanted to be in the room."

We chatted for a while about our different classes and our mornings. Since I'm in the advanced class, all the content we cover are at a faster rate than in the other classes making it another reason why I'm always tired.

(Amethyst): "I heard from Rin-kun that you're having a dinner party today."

(Yukio): "Yes, he sort of decided to host it after inviting a few students from the Cram School."

Wait, why did Rin tell her…?

(Amethyst): "Yeah, I was asking since I also got invited and so are the students at the Culture Club."

Amethyst words came crashing down on me when she said that. Great, the Culture Club. Miyamoto-san and Nozomi-san were already a handful to serve but add a few more Demons and it might be the end for the kitchen supplies.

It's common knowledge that the Culture Club being a club full of Demons and Exorcist. It was formed two years ago and has made a small reputation in the Order for their ability to Exorcise Demon even though they tend to mess around and work at their own pace.

I got invited by the Club President but declined it since I don't want to have any more commitments than I already have.

(Yukio): "Are you a member of the Culture Club?"

I ask after having a drink of water.

(Amethyst): "Yeah, I got invited by a senior called 'Naneko'. She invited me to the club after I gave her some snacks when I saw her passed out."

I nearly choked when I hear how she met with Nozomi-san. Fainted. I then remember her talking about getting breakfast sorted. She couldn't have gotten the same allowance that Rin has, does she?

Nii-san told me that the low allowance was what made him start the lunch shop, so couldn't she also do the same?

(Yukio): "Looks like an encounter with fate."

I say that even though I don't believe in fate but coincidences.

(Amethyst): "Everyone is so talented in the Clubroom and has a name for themselves. I heard that Rin-san is being known as the 'chef' now and that Yanagi-san is called 'The science whizz'."

Heh, Chef suits Nii-san but Yanagi? Isn't he the person who got top grades for his sciences and maths but barely passed his other grades? Don't tell me he's Rin's friend.

Haah, looks like Nii-sans friends are all extraordinary.

(Yukio): "The bells about to ring so I'll head out first."

(Amethyst): "W-wait Yukio-chan.

I stand up as I was about to put the box away and leave but was stopped by Amethyst-san.

(Yukio): "Yes?"

(Amethyst): "W-will you be willing to t-tutor me on my subjects?"

Amethyst-san says that to me as her face progressively changes to a deeper shade of red. I chuckle at her shy response as I respond.

(Yukio): "I would be glad to tutor you. I'll give you my number so we can arrange a time suitable for it."

I know I said I didn't want to have more on my schedule but after seeing her embarrassed face, I didn't want her to feel down. Something tells me that this'll be more fun than I think it will be.

(Amethyst): "Great!"

Amethyst-san says that as her smile beams out. I can feel my face getting slightly warmer from seeing it but I put my thoughts to the back of my mind as we exchange numbers. I later say my goodbyes to Amethyst as we both anticipate the dinner we'll be having today

I hope our kitchen has enough storage.

-Back to Rin-

(Rin): "Well, today I'm having dinner at my place, the two of you wanna come over? Obviously, I'll be the one cooking."

After taking a quick glance at Yukio and Amethyst, I ask my question to Sora and Kirihime as they eat the boxed lunch.

(Kirihime): "Do you like cooking?"

Kirihime says that with rice on her cheeks. She's a messy eater even though she has such elegance? Oh well, it's forgiven because she's cute.

(Rin): "Yep, I probably love it more than fighting. Here, you have some on your face."

I say that as I use a spare napkin to clean her face. She's like a little kid when she's eating like that. Her cheeks are springy.

(Sorano): "No fair! How could you steal that from me Rin!"

(Rin): "Hehe, I can't help stealing from the rich. Let the rest of us enjoy what you enjoy or at least me."

We laugh at our little play as Kirihime cutely tilts her head, confused at what's going on, which makes the two of us laugh even harder.

While I was laughing, I suddenly feel a shiver in my spine. When I turn over I see Kasamugi's group with Chelsea, Naneko, Sae and Akane.

Strange, I thought the shiver was from Akane but she doesn't give off her battle intent but approached me with a normal smile.

(Akane): "Afternoon Rin."

(Rin): "Yeah, afternoon..."

I say that with a bit of a daze since I'm still confused about what just happened. I look behind them and don't notice anything suspicious. Was I just imagining it?

Wait, that sounded like I was jinxing myself. Well, shit then.

(Naneko): "You ok, Rin? You look a bit paranoid."

Ok, I'm not even going to ask how she can tell that from just looking at me.

(Rin): "Nah, its nothing. I was just thinking about how much food the dinner party is going to use. I'm inviting everyone to my place so you guys are invited."

I quickly make up a reasonable excuse as I say those words probably for the final time.

I chatted with the group for a bit about the progress of all the art projects and about the grand reveal we're doing tomorrow whilst receiving both money and compliments for the food.

After a while, I looked over to Yukio and Amethyst and see the two of them are still talking. Good, Good, looks like the two of them are bonding well.

I just remembered something... How is the trio from the anime going to affect their relationship? Hopefully, it won't cause any drama or the same thing that happened in the anime where they almost got stewed by Ukobach. Well, that's if they exist in this world.

I wonder how Ukobach is doing?

I couldn't stay with the group for a long time since I was busy with taking the orders of students who came in late due to class but I got a chance to talk to Izumo and Noriko for a bit before lunch ended.

Growl*

Noriko and I both look at the source of the noise, i.e Izumo. Izumo, who has a flushed face, tries to calmly give the money to me with her somewhat trembling hands and I try my best not to laugh.

(Rin): "Hungry?"

Once I gave her the change I asked her which made me receive a glare from Izumo before she walked away. Noriko and I both laugh as I deal with her payment as well.

Since there weren't any more orders I stuck around with Izumo and Noriko and we discussed our lessons and random stuff. It looks like Noriko has an interest in joining the dance club.

When lunch was about to finish, all the students started leaving as I cleaned up the room for a bit. I look to the table that Yanno was sleeping at, but he's gone.

Where's Yanno? He was here a minute ago?

-Yanno's Pov-

(Yanno): "Haah, haah."

Fuck! My head hurts. My eyes are killing me.

I left the Home Economics room when my head started to pound. I thought if I could go to the nurse's office to get some painkillers or something to help me get rid of the headache but before I could even get there, my head started to pound even harder like I'm being hit by a fucking sledgehammer.

(???): 'Hehe, just set me free already.'

(Yanno): "The fuck? Who's there?"

I shout at nothing as I realise that no ones around me. Strange, it should be time for students to go to their next lesson, but no one's around.

(???): "Hehe, don't worry about it. Just sleep for now, you know you want to."

The voice, which I can't tell if it's male or female, invites me as my eyelids start to become heavier. I resist the urge to sleep as I have a feeling that it won't end well if I do.

I don't know how, but during my struggles, I somehow managed to walk out of the school and into the patio.

(Yanno): "The fuck?"

I didn't see them before but I see some black particle things surround me with a small face on them. Bugs? But they're everywhere. The fuck's going and what the hell is happening to me?

(???): "Goodnight sweet prince."

The voice is back as my eyelids feel even heavier as I blackout. Prince…?

-Rin's Pov-

(Rin): "!!!"

Fuck, did I trigger an event by asking where Yanno went? Shit, I have a bad feeling.

(Rin): "Kuro! Midori!"

After debating whether to go or not, I finally call out my familiars as they both get up from their chairs. The two of them already noticed the Demons Aura and are waiting for my orders.

(Rin): "Let's check out the Demon!"

I say that as my head is filled with negative thoughts of Yanno. Please don't tell me it's because of my curiosity.

I can sense the Aura coming from the other side of the school. In the Patio? I wonder if any of the Club Members have noticed the Aura? Unlike the Aura's of the Succubus or the Dekalp, this Aura feels... Icky? And extremely malicious.

After giving my order to Kuri and Midori we jump out of the window to avoid any of the teachers finding us. It's the second floor but the height is nothing for three Demons to worry about. We land on the ground and immediately run to the location as fast as we can. I got surprised by the speed of Kuru and Midori but I keep that to myself as worry for Yanno preoccupy my mind.

(???): "Hehe, lookie what we have here. Three little demons to play with me!"

We take a turn and see Yanno walking to the fountain. I sighed in relief but before I could call talk to him, Yanno, or I think it's Yanno, spoke to us in a neutral voice and I notice that the Aura I felt was coming from him.

(Rin): "What the-?"

As I was about to talk to Yanno, A swarm of moths started gathering from Yanno's body and the Aura becomes stronger. What the fuck's going? I take a better look at Yanno and notice the very obvious slitted green eyes. Demon? But what happened to the other features?

(Rin): 'Kuro, Midori, get ready to fight.'

(Kuro and Midori): 'Ready!"

I use my telepathic connection and tell the two of them to get ready. Even though I don't have much experience with fighting Demons, I know whatever's possessing Yanno is definitely not a normal high-level demon.

(Rin): 'Be careful of the insects, they're most likely poisonous.'

Demon anatomy is different from the original meaning that it's possible for it to gain abilities like poison. We get into our battle stances as we wait for the Demon to make its first move.

The Demon possessing Yanno raises its hands as a swarm of Moths follow the pointed direction and fly towards us.

(Rin): "After serving God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep, he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed"

I chant the fatal verse for the Chuchi's while running around as more just swarm around us. I never would've thought that the chant I memorised to save Shiemi ended up being more useful than I thought.

(Demon): "Haha, nice skills you have there but it looks like your two familiars are just deadweight, huh. Don't worry though, I'll get rid of them for you."

The Demon says that whilst summoning a giant Demon Bee along with the Moths and sends the Bee flying, like a spear, towards Kuro at high speed. Kuro's too busy dealing with the Moths to react to the Giant Bee which causes him to jump back in hopes of dodging the attack.

(Midori): "No you don't."

Midori says that as his frail arms turns into a shade of red metal and jumps to intercept the Bees path. Midori then grabs the Giant Bee by its stinger and crushes it before throwing it back to the Demon possessing Yanno. But the Demon casually dodge the Bee's corpse flying towards as he gives a little chuckle.

(Demon): "Aww, my Bee Demon. Oh well, I have lots more surprises on the way."

The Demon says that whilst maintaining its sly smile. The more I look at it, the more annoyed I get. He opens his palms towards us as more Moths and Giant Bees appear before attacking us.

I continue swinging my Katana whilst reciting the fatal verse of the Moths and slicing the Giant bees in half. Midori and Kuro seem to be able to stand their own ground using their own abilities but I'm worried of Midori's arm that's covered in green goo. I've already warned him of the poison the Bees may have but he says that his skin is poison resistant so I don"t have to worry about him. Though we haven't tested how strong his so-called poison resistance is.

(Kuro): "Black Claw!"

Kuro says that as he enlarges his claws about 30cm long and slaughters a large amount of Demon Bees and Moths, making him have green bloodstains all over his clothes.

(Demon): "Ooooh, nice skills you got their little kid. But do you think you can do that against this?:

The Demon says that as he puts his hands on the floor and summons a Giant Centipede from the ground. Eww, creepy. Even if you're not scared of insects, this'll still creep you out. 'I think I might get nightmares after this'. I jokingly say that telepathically to Kuro and Midori whilst slicing the endless Giant Bees that spawn with no limit.

(Kuro): "Black claw-!"

Kuro tries the same attack against the Giant centipede but his claws is deflected by its shiny skin? Well, shit then.

Kuro got deflected by its skin and was sent flying to the fountain. The Giant Centipede uses that as an opportunity to attack Kuro again.

Seeing as the Centipede was about to dive towards Kuro, I dropped my katana on the floor and got in front of Kuro and grabbed the Centipede by its antennas and wrestled with it. Ew, slimy.

I get a better grip of the antennas as the Centipede picks me up and crashes me into the water fountain. Still holding onto the antenna with dear life, I adjust my footing and use my arm strength to flip the Centipede with a judo-like throw. I then jump on it as it tries to wiggle its way out and get up. Don't worry, I'll end this quick.

(Rin): 'Use my Katana and stab its mouth.'

I tell Kuro, who's a bit dazed at the sudden turn of events, and he quickly responds by stabbing the mouth of the Demon. The Centipede dies after giving a shriek of pain before lying limply on the floor.

(Demon): "Aww, looks like my Familiar couldn't stand a chance against the master of two high levelled Demons, huh. Oh well, no problemo."

The Demon says that with a false calmness as his Aura feels Chaotic and he summons other insects like beetles and butterflies but they're quickly taken care of by the three of us. At some point, we started seeing insects of all kinds, even ladybugs. The more we slay, the better our teamwork gets and the better understanding I have of swordsmanship.

(Demon): "Okay then, let's switch it up a bit."

The Demon sounds fed up says that, likely due to how many of its familiars we've slain. I honestly got engrossed in slayer the Chuchi Demons that I almost forgot about him. The Demon possessing Yanno goes on his knees whilst putting his hands together and then onto the Cement, a scene that you'd see in full metal alchemist.

(Demon): "Oh King of the web, Chief of the Mochica Culture, I use the contract established with my father for you to defeat the foe in front of me!"

The Demon says his chant and I feel the Aura around him change. My instinct warns me to get serious as I slay the remaining Demon Beetles. The damn things are keeping me busy from disrupting the ritual summoning.

From the Demons palms, white light appear that soon blinds us for a second and a ten feet tall fucking tarantula appears, multiples eyes, an anthropomorphic face and lion-like teeth. Great, my arachnophobia kicks in in full gear as I get creeped out by its legs but try not to show that fear on my face.

I was able to get by with dealing with the Chuchi's due to the adrenaline but this is too fucking creepy. Luckily, I put my fears at the back of my head as I can tell from the Demons Aura that it's not any ordinary high levelled Demon.

(Tarantula): "Che, you've failed your father for summoning me for three kid Demons. Is this what you desire after being freed?"

The Tarantula says that with low voice filled with annoyance as it speaks to the Demon possessing Yanno in disrespect.

(Tarantula): "Yes, yes, I know uncle. Are you willing to help me or not? I finally freed myself from that damn seal father placed on me and these people want to put me back."

Seal? Father? The hell's going on?

A thought then comes to me and I hope it's not what I think it is. The Demon is either Beelzebub or his son but that's not what I'm worried about.

(Rin): "Are you Yanno?"

I say that with a slightly cold voice. What kind of sick twist of fate will that be if it's true?

(Demon Yanno): "Hahaha, that's what the old man named the kid, huh. Yeah sorta. I'm his alternative ego that was sealed as soon as he was born. My old man, Beelzebub, wanted the kid to have a normal life with a normal family so he trapped me since birth. But now I'm free and I'll do whatever the hell I want."

The Demon confirms my suspicion as I grip my Katana in anger. You fucking serious?

I look at the Tarantula's multiple eyes and find nothing in then to confirm The Demon Yanno's answers.

Heh, Fuck this world...

(Demon Yanno): "Oh, lost the will to fight your best friend? Even though I was sealed, I could still see everything Yanno experienced. The joy of watching a new episode of an anime, the sadness of being an outcast for being different, the happiness of having his crush confessing to him and the despair and pain of finally awakening. I guess I should thank his best friend for freeing me, huh. Well, not that you'll live for that long."

The Demon goes on and on about himself and yanno as I drop my head in both annoyance and anger. This is what I get for getting myself involved with other people, huh. If that's the case... I'll finish what I started.

(Rin): "Kuro, Midori, stand back."

I say that whilst slowly walking towards the Tarantula. All the fear I once had for it disappears as I look at its many eyes with half squinted eyes. I wonder how Shima would react if he was in my position.

(Demon Yanno): "Hahaha, Looks like you want to kill yourself after realising that your friend will never come back! Hahaha!"

The Demon laughs his head off as he mistakes my intentions, probably for suicide or something. I softly laugh as I draw Kurikara off of my back and bath myself in my blue flames. The Tarantula seems to have realised my uniqueness and begins attacking me with its giant legs.

(Demon Yanno): "Wha-? B-blue flames?! Don't tell me-!"

The Demon says that with worry after realising my status. That's what you get dear nephew even though we aren't technically related.

The tarantula attacks with its legs and I use Kurikara in my right hand to lock swords against the Tarantula's leg. We're both even in strength and I use my other katana to cut the top of its legs off. I use this as a chance to get more slashes on it by sliding underneath its carcass after using my flames underneath my feet to propel myself forward.

(Tarantula): "Hahaha! Yes, a battle I was looking for! It's been so long since my blood has boiled!"

The Tarantula says that with a creepy smile as its teeth move in joy. its leg have already regrown as it continues attacking with them back and the wounds I Inflicted earlier have already healed heal. Damn, its regeneration is quick.

It then points its legs towards me and strings of webs come out. I dodge and watch how it instantly solidifies before dodging a hairy leg coming towards me.

I dodge the leg as more webs come shooting out. I dodge web after web and focus on distancing myself from Kuro and Midori. The Tarantula laughs creepily as it picks up on one of the webs that hardened and used it to attack. I use both swords to attack as I surround the web spear with my blue flames and melt them. The damn thing is as hard as steel.

(Rin): "Satan Slash!"

I jump in the sky to dodge a few more of its legs and send out a Satan Slash to melt some of the webs that come flying towards me. After engulfing them in flames, I use my flames to project myself towards the Tarantula and stab it at one of its eyes with Kurikara.

(Rin): "Satans campfire."

(Tarantula): "Reeeee."

I use my flames to travel inside the Tarantula's body and explode once I called the move. The Tarantula shrieks in pain as it tries to swing me off of its body. I use this as a chance to stab it with my other katana with the hopes of killing it with that final hit but the Tarantula goes on a rampage as it charges through the pillars of the school building.

I managed to jump off of the Tarantula after sustaining a lot of injuries but my healing quickly kicks in as I dodge another pincer leg. I glance at the school building and sigh after noticing that school hasn't collapsed but I put my attention towards the Tarantula again.

(Demon Yanno): "Summon."

With a lack of a better word, Demon Yanno summons more Chuchi's of various insects once more to give back up to the Tarantula. He even summoned smaller versions of the Tarantula I'm facing and Giant Ants the size of a car.

(Rin): "Satans Surface."

I take a deep breath from the numbers of Demons I'm looking at and put my right hand at the floor and say my little moves name. The floor in about 20 meters radius from my hand becomes covered in blue flames, killing all the ground Chuchi's and various pillars of blue flames appear to kill the flying ones.

I hear the screams of the various Chuchi's and even some from my familiars but they quickly calm down once they realise that the flames are harmless to them. I can feel pressure slowly builds up in my head as my body feels sluggish. I use this move with the intent of killing all Demons except for Yanno, Kuro and Midori.

If my theory is correct, then that Demon is part of Yanno at a psychological level which means that I won't know what kind of effect it will have on Yanno if I kill it. Especially after he "awakened" it.

(Tarantula): "Hahaha, this is what I wanted! Come! Hit me harder if you can, spawn of Satan!"

The Tarantula says that with mock in its voice for being able to endure the flames that constantly eat its body but his body just as quickly regenerates. Just fun isn't it.

(Rin): "Satans spears"

I give him a silent smile as I increase my focus and manipulate the flames around him into spear-like shapes, all facing towards him.

The Tarantula's face is covered in shock after the realisation that it might come to its doom.

(Rin): "Happy?"

I ask the Tarantula who is barely able to live from the spears. The Tarantula doesn't exhibit any emotions if regret or anger as it's unusual face shows a glimpse of happiness and relief

(Tarantula): "I'm as happy as I can be while being impaled by these mystical flames. At least I've fallen by the hands of a god."

A God huh. I'm nothing like that, just a random kid who happens to wake up in this shit-house of a world.

(Rin): "You don't care about your death?"

I really don't understand this battle maniac mindset. Sure I love battles but I'd rather live and fight more than to be six feet underground.

(Tarantula): "It's more of being happy to experience life to the fullest. What's better than being killed by a worthy foe, though I wish it lasted a little longer. I have been around since the time of man and the people you fight are only so much. You'll understand what I mean, young God-slayer"

The Tarantula says that as its bodies regeneration soon fails to keep up against my flames and starts to decompose without its ashes remaining. I don't think I'll ever understand his mindset, but what's with this God-slayer title I've earned?

(Rin): "So what am I gonna do with you?"

I say that after turning towards the Demon Yanno. The Demon himself flinches as he gives a brief look of despair but resilience soon appears as if he doesn't want things to end here.

(Mephisto): "Ein! Zwei! Drei!"

But before either of us could do anything, we hear a voice coming from a distance and soon a giant rusty door covered in metal sheets, screws, nails, nuts and bolts all over it appear before us.

(Demon Yanno): "Dafuq-!"

Before the Demon Yanno could finish his word, a giant mechanical arm appears from the door and grabs his body.

(Mephisto): "Wonderful weather we're having today, isn't it Rin?"

I was about to go after him until Mephisto appears with a small smoke cloud as he casually talks to me as if the land isn't destroyed and covered in webs by the Tarantula's attacks.

(Rin): "Explain everything to me."

I say that as I feel my emotions coming back to me. All the fear and disgust I had for the Chuchi's return as my body slightly trembles at the thought of killing them.

(Mephisto): "Aww, there's no reason to be so cold to me. Fine, fine, I'll talk to you but not right here."

Mephisto says that as he snaps his fingers and we get transported back into his office. Why do I get the feeling that I'll be seeing this place a lot more in the future?

I sigh as I unsheath Kurikara and my katana but my guard is still up against this guy. The adrenaline still hasn't gone away as my head still formulates on why's on fighting.

(Mephisto): "Its looks like you had a rough time with our nephew, didn't you Rin?"

So I was right.

(Rin): "Enough of the roundabout way of speaking and tell me what I want to hear."

Mephisto sighs as he responds to me.

(Mephisto): "Haah, kids these days are too impatient with their elders. Yes, Yanno is a half-Demon and a high level one at that. I sent him to a pocket dimension inside Das Stärkste Gefängnis."

(Rin): "How long has he been like that?"

(Mephisto): "Do you mean living with that Demon? He's lived side by side with Yanno since he was born. Every half Demon has a Demon inside of their conscious. For them to live this far and have some form of human morals means that they have their "inner Demon" sealed. It could be sealed with special items like your Kurikara or by using certain medication or even having a permanent form of eye contacts so that they are guaranteed to never awaken."

Mephisto gives me a stream of information and it takes me a while to process all my thoughts. He's been with him since he was born, all half-Demons have an alternative personality or an inner Demon, having them sealed with medication probably to prevent them to see Demons.

(Rin): "So my involvement with him made him awaken."

I sigh at my analysis. Yanno wasn't a character in the original series, he could've been in the world somewhere but he was never mentioned in blue exorcist. I guess this is what I get for trying to see how I can change the future of this world.

(Rin): "Can I speak with him? I mean, can I speak with the Yanno I know?"

I don't regret awakening him even though I feel bad for making him go through so much pain. He probably would've awakened sometime in the future once the medication fails, but I feel a little guilty. I need to talk to him and support him when he's still confused about his origin like I was.

(Mephisto): "Well, it will take a good knockout for the original personality to come back, but when he wakes up again, he will be forced to one day battle the Demon inside of him that wouldn't give up to take over him. The best option is to have him strong enough to fight his inner self, defeat it and then merge with it. Think you can train him?"

So it'll take a good punch to knock him down and train him, huh. Sounds simple enough.

(Mephisto): "Well, if that's acceptable for you then I'll send you to deal with him in a more suitable environment. Oh, and don't worry about your next class. Toodles~!"

And before I could even respond to his question, Mephisto sends me off to the pocket dimension along with Kuro and Midori.

-Mephisto Pov-

Haah, looks like I managed to deal with it without him finding too much.

(Sloth): "You know, you shouldn't hide that much from the kid. The least you can do is tell him about his origins."

Door-Kun, I mean Sloth, tells me as soon as I send Rin along with his familiars to Das Stärkste Gefängnis's pocket dimension.

(Mephisto): "Well, where's the fun in that? The boy should find out when he's worthy enough and if he still can't figure it out after all the clues I've given him than the grand reveal will just be even sweeter."

I believe everything has a suitable order for everything. It looks like that Tadou fellow has begun his movements against the Order. I guess it's about time to get that new spy of mine to serve his usefulness soon.

Ahem, in this weeks useless authors note, my little brother broke my laptop so I'm stuck with writing and editing everything on my phone. School's also been a pain in the neck and I have an assignment due tomorrow. Yay. I'm sorry for everyone for the story not being updated as frequently as it started out, but I'm trying ok. Also, if you have any ideas for what I could've done to make the fight better then please tell me!)
