44 Regrets

After an unknown amount of time of us torturing Envy, we see the bastard broken on the floor with a face full of scars, eyeless, toothless, a broken nose, a missing ear with the other one hanging on with a little bit of skin. Luckily there wasn't much blood around us thanks to Akane using them for torture instruments. Honestly, if someone saw us doing our work, they'd call us psycho's in a heartbeat or monsters, but this was weirdly satisfying.

Hmm, maybe this is the repent emotions of living with my mother all being unleashed here?

(Envy): "No more... No more...!"

Even with all the injuries we've inflicted on him, he can still speak and hear us, probably because his regeneration can still activate. I wonder if I could somehow burn his ability to heal himself? It's a concept, but that'd drain the hell out of me. I guess I can experiment with that later.

(Rin): "So you gonna answer the questions then?"

I ask with no expectations of an answer as I think of another way to torture him. Who would've thought my time of being tortured by my mum would be useful in this situation. If I weren't limited by just his head, I would've been done interrogating by now.

(Envy): "No!"

(Rin): "Fine."

Envy remains resilient in not giving us answers even after all the torture we've given to him. Which means we still have our test subject on standby. Akane could probably use him as an experiment for blood-based skills, maybe something like a blood puppet?

Oh well, onto the next torture method.

(Rin): "Satans tweezers."

I thought to myself as I make some tweezers, they weren't anything special, but they did have a certain effect I liked.

(Envy): "Huh?"

Envy says in confusion as looks in at the tweezers with some worry about what I plan to do. Ah, his eyes regrow quickly, good, good. Now watch what I do.

(Akane): "You're evil, I like it."

Akane says whilst licking her lips as she quickly catches on to what I was about to do. I smiled at the sadist in front of me before looking back to Envy, specifically his blonde hair. Warning to all the guys out there, you might want to skip this part. I thought to myself as I started plucking out the hair from the confused Envy's head.

(Envy): "No!"

Envy screamed as I began plucking his hair out before making a second tweezer and dual picked his hair out. Envy tried resisting by moving his head around but that only made me grab more hair cells from him.

A narcissist like him wouldn't stand for someone ruining his hair or appearance after all. This should get him to answer me. I even used my flames to interfere with the hair to regrow by putting a thin layer of flames on the hair follicles.

(Envy): "You bastard! Stop!"

And just as planned, after a few painful plucks, Envy finally caved in, though a little too soon in my opinion. Dude, you survived your eyes getting sculpted out yet this made you break? I guess narcissists are just weak to these kinds of things.

Then again, I didn't try messing with his healing abilities until now.

(Rin): "Answers? If not."

I say that as I pull out another hair which causes his head to twitch in pain. I feel a little disappointed. I wanted to see how long he'd last. I won't lie I'm still annoyed at what he said about Akane and Naneko. From him knowing about Naneko, he's been spying on us for a while now, pissing me off more.

I've been becoming more of a demon lately, huh. Oh well, let's lose my humanity a little.

(Envy): "Yes, I will!"

While I was busy thinking to myself, I didn't notice I was plucking more of his blonde hair out, making his hairline look heavily receding. Ooops, I got too emotional there.

(Rin): "Aren't you a good child. Now hurry up please, I have to finish off my date with Miss Beautiful over there."

I gave Envy a slow head pat which makes the guy shiver in fear before waiting for his answer.

(Envy): "I can't really say this out loud though. Since this is another dimension the contract shouldn't be in effect but I don't want to take risks. Could you lend me an ear?"

A contract huh? I wonder if it's due to some hierarchy system their organisation has or some kind of outsider preventing them to talk?

(Akane): "Sure…"

Akane and I looked at each other before agreeing. We put our heads closer to Envy before I put my hands around Akane's ears when I noticed something odd about Envy.

(Envy): "Wrrrrryyyyyyyy"

A second later, Envy started producing a strong high pitched noise that caused both our bodies to experience shockwaves, but luckily I blocked the attack just in time. That move reminded me of the Banshee I fought before. So he was the one huh.

(Rin): "So you were the one who sent the Banshee huh."

I said that in annoyance as I shoved crystals down his windpipe to shut him up. Even when he was suffocating from being force-fed crystals, I didn't stop. The crystals around his body were already vibrating, likely to break apart in a few more seconds if I let him continue.

(Envy): "Kouh kouk, that bitch was even more useless. I spent a week for her ritual but she was too incompetent! All she had for her was that body! At least I enjoyed her!"

After coughing out some crystal shards, Envy started shouting his head off with complaints about his former subordinate. I had the feeling the ritual he was talking about was anything but pleasant to hear.

Seriously, what kind of sick fuck is this Demon?

(Rin): "If you want to be like that, then fine."

After some thought, I beheaded Envy one last time before sealing him up. At least now we got rid of his sound attack, though he should've used it earlier against us. I'm worried if he has anything else up his sleeves so I need to be careful.

(Rin): "Satan's Prison."

I made sure his body would get squished by making the inside smaller than before and I covered his head so maybe he'll be suffocated to death a few times or he may die for real this time but I don't care anymore. There are other ways to get information about Akane's past then spending time with this tight-lipped prick.

(Rin): "Phew, that takes a lot of energy to use."

I didn't realise it before, but using the crystals takes a lot of energy. I'm about 40% on my energy reserves now.

(Rin): "We weren't able to get any answers today, but I'm having him isolate for a while. He might die for real before then though."

I turned to Akane as I said that. She hasn't been talking much during the torturing process, probably thinking about her parents and their past.

(Akane): "Yeah… I… I just want to find out why I was abandoned… If my parents had anything to do with this guy then maybe they-"

Akane gave me a look that I never wanted to see again. The look of despair mixed with self-loathing. It reminded me of my old self all too well after my grandparents passed away.

(Rin): "No point of thinking of their past. They abandoned you and that should be their major sin. You still up for that spar?"

I give Akane a gentle head pat as I try supporting her. Her parents might be part of their group, or they might be victims but regardless they still abandoned her without telling her or leaving a note. I'll make sure to find out about her past.

(Akane): "Yeah, I'll do that. Thanks, Rin."

Akane hugs me again as I continue patting her head before playing with her black hair and red bangs. I think I've gotten used to her hugging me now.

(Akane): "Alright, I think it's time for us to head back now."

After a few moments of silence, Akane raised her head before telling us to go. Alright, that look in her eyes are gone now. I'm glad.

(Rin): "Sure."

I smiled at Akane as I make a portal near an unpopulated place at the concert. We can't go back to the park thanks to the Exorcists investigating that area. I hope that didn't affect the kids though.

(Naneko): "Akane, Rin!"

It didn't take us long to get back into backstage to see a lazy Neko resting on the couch. Her black hair is already dishevelled and covering her right eye again even though she's still wearing her Neko-hime outfit. It feels like she's cosplaying Neko-hime now.

(Rin): "Thanks for the hard work. Fans too much to handle?"

I asked as I sat next to her along with Akane at my right. I saw the line earlier and it went outside the building to the parking lot. I don't think I'd have the patience to deal with that many people.

(Naneko): "You have no idea. How about you try singing to cheer this little kitty up?"

(Akane): "Oooo, I wanna hear it too."

Naneko sits up to say that as she looks at me with expectation in her eyes along with Akane who seems serious. Oi, don't put me on the spot here. These girls need to stop putting their faces too close to mine already.

(Rin): "I don't know any songs though."

I've only sung a few times, and that was during my dinner party and when we were training at the pocket dimension.

(Naneko): "No worries, how about the song I sang at the dinner party? I have the lyrics on my phone."

Naneko hands me her phone as she has a cheerful expression on her face. Is she that excited just to hear me butcher a song? I thought to myself as I looked at her phone… It looks modern compared to my cellphone…

Maybe I should save up money to buy one? An upgrade sounds good.

(Rin): "Fine, but don't expect anything good, little-miss pop-star."

I say that sarcastically as I open up her memo's to find the song. Holy! 400 memos! How many songs has she made and performed with!?

(Naneko): "Yes yes, Mr singer-with-no-self-esteem."

Naneko says so whilst rolling her eyes as she rests her head onto Akane's lap like a child. Akane seems used to it as she simply gives her a head pat without being told to.

(Rin): "Alright then."

I sighed one more time before opening up one of the recent memos and memorised the lyrics. I'm surprised she trusts me with her phone, to be honest.

(Rin): "It's been years since I've seen a face 'round here…"

I began singing whilst doing my best not to butcher the song too much. There was no music in the background so I felt even more pressure from the two girls staring at me. Luckily I only had a few hiccups before finishing off the song with a round of applause from the two.

(Akane): "Good job Rin!"

(Naneko): "I knew you had it in you!"

I got a little surprised from the sudden applause as I felt like I sang bad and was expecting them to mock me. I felt warm inside from getting praised which made me smile unconsciously.

"You have an excellent voice young man!"

When I was about to sit down again, a man in his late 20's with black hair, brown eyes and glasses wearing a black suit suddenly came in. I got a little startled by the appearance of the new guy, but I calmed down when I heard Naneko's voice.

(Naneko): "Hey manager."

Naneko says in an informal tone as she gives him a little wave. Manager, huh. He doesn't give off the appearance but he seems to have Naneko's trust at least.

(Rin): "You think so?"

I scratched my head a little from the embarrassment of being praised by a stranger. My heart still racing from performing so I feel a little light-headed.

(Manager): "Of course! The world will be thrilled to hear your voice! I can see it now, the duo! You, paired with Neko-hime, will have the world aweing in amazement!"

The manager says enthusiastically as he holds my hands together. I felt a little pressured from the sudden act and his enthusiasm but I calmed down a little before replying. Man, this guy's a little too much.

(Rin): "Thanks manager-san, but I don't have much desire to become a pop star or anything."

I'm allowed to have fun, but the world isn't stable enough to have that kind of satisfaction. Though being a pop star would be fun to do if the world is still in one piece. Maybe in the future when I don't have to worry about these things.

(Naneko): "Aww, that's too bad. I thought I would've gotten myself a teammate worthy of her Neko-ness."

Naneko says so with fake sadness before wrapping her arms around my neck. Another reason why I'm used to hugs. it's because after I saved Naneko from her inner demon, she physically started getting closer to me, which triggered the kids into making her their mother even more. Though I do enjoy being hugged and giving hugs to people.

They're touching again… why does she have to make me feel awkward at places like this?

(Rin): "Sorry to burst that bubble. I don't do well in large crowds."

(Naneko): "Awwwwww. So basically Akane."

Come to think of it, I've heard Akane sing before and it was good. Too bad she doesn't do well with guys looking at her, else I'd love to see them do a duet. Maybe I can get them to host a private concert with only people from the Cram School and the Culture Club? I'll talk to Mugi about this for an idea.

(Manager): "Oh? Miyamoto-san is here?!"

As soon as Naneko mentioned Akane's name, the managers gaze soon gets shifted towards Akane silently sitting on the couch. When she felt his stares, she immediately jumped off the couch and run behind me and Naneko. Her androphobia kicked in, huh.

(Rin): "Akane's the same as me so I hope you can respect our wishes."

I sighed to myself before telling the manager to back off a little. He seems like the persistent type after all.

(Manager): "O-Of course. Well, rest up Neko-hime, I'll be off to make some arrangements with our company."

(Naneko): "Bye manager-san!"

The manager soon walks out of the room when he figured we weren't gonna agree, before leaving the three of us to ourselves. He seems like a good person, but a little too much to your face kind of guy.

(Naneko): "Must've been a rough day for you looking after this child."

Naneko asks me whilst pointing at Akane who's clinging to my back. Why do I feel like Akane is more childlike than my kids sometimes?

(Akane): "Oi, I'm not a child."

Akane says that whilst hugging me tighter. Oi, I'm gonna suffocate if you bear hug me tighter than this.

(Naneko): "Oh? Then why do you have your arm around Rin like how Kage does?"

Naneko says with a cheeky smile whilst crossing her arms. Her eyes shined in mysterious glint as she tried to further embarrass the succubus behind me.

(Akane): "Because it feels nice. Why? You jealous?"

Akane says with a straight face and a blank voice.

(Naneko): "Wha-what do you mean?! Why would I be jealous?"

Naneko responds whilst stuttering with a tsundere styled response. I smiled wryly at the two as they start their little argument.

(Akane): "Uh-huh."

(Naneko): "What do you mean by 'Uh-huh'?"

(Akane): "Nothing, just enjoying Rin's body."

(Naneko): "Huuuuuh?!?"

(Rin): "What is even happening anymore?"

I feel like this is more troublesome than dealing with Envy, who's immortal! These two are a handful to deal with.

(Rin): "Alright, will the Neko be ready to go home yet?"

I stepped in when I had the feeling I'd be stuck between these two while they're arguing. At least let me sit down if I'm in between this shit.

(Naneko): "Not yet, I wanna take a little nap."

Naneko says as she forgets about what Akane said and lazily jumps onto the couch before curling herself up to sleep. The way she sleeps is cute, but she's way too defenceless like that.

(Akane): 'Psst Rin, princess carry her.'

Akane says telepathically as she gives me a little elbow to the stomach. I told both of them I could make small range telepathic links earlier via physical contact.

(Rin): 'I was thinking the same thing.'

I said whilst smiling before walking silently towards Naneko. When I was sure she wasn't aware of her surroundings, I quickly picked her up which jolted her awake.

(Naneko): "Huh? What?!"

Naneko looks around in confusion before noticing her situation and glaring at me.

(Rin): "Hello sleepy beauty. Time to go home to your castle."

Maybe I was a little forceful? Oh well, I wanna go home already.

(Naneko): "This is a dream, right? Ouch!"

(Akane): "Think it's a dream now?"

Naneko asked with an annoyed tone before Akane pulled on both her tails a little which caused her to arc her back in surprise. Akane rested her head on Naneko's stomach whilst having a smug smile.

(Naneko): "Let go of me, you bastard."

(Rin): "Hmm, ok."

Naneko started hitting me and Akane to let her go, I ignored her for a bit before opening the portal to her bedroom and dropping her onto her bed.

(Naneko): "Ouch, you could've been a little gentler."

Naneko says after sitting up to massage her tails. I guess making her land on her back was a bad idea on my part.

(Rin): "Whatever the lady wants."

I say that as I help massage her other tail with my flames. I've been able to figure out how to use my flames to promote natural recovery as well as better health, though they turn gold whenever I need a better effect.

(Naneko): "This was your idea, wasn't it?"

Naneko leaves the healing to me as she starts interrogating Akane. Her instincts are always accurate, it's a little scary, to be honest.

(Akane): "I have no clue what makes you think that."

Akane turns her head to avoid Naneko's glare as I finish off healing her. I chuckled at the two's childlike behaviour before I stood up.

(Rin): "Well then I'll be off-"

I was about to go get my kids until I felt something wrong. My flames were screaming, warning me of a power coming from the pocket dimension...

(Naneko): "Did something happen?"

Naneko immediately noticed my change as she loses her previous lazy appearance.

(Rin): "No nothing."

I gave her a smile and replied that it was nothing. I can deal with it myself, it's just that I felt a sudden chill from my crystals. The ones surrounding Envy are broken now. He's escaped

(Naneko): "You're lying, I can tell."

I was about to leave with my flames after making up an excuse, but Naneko grabbed me by the arm to stop me. We ended up looking at each other as she seems to see through me. I don't think my lies are easy to figure out. What gave them away? Kage 2.0?

(Rin): "What makes you say that?"

I didn't want to make her worry, but I was curious about how she realised. It can't be women's intuition, is it? If so then that's broken.

(Naneko): "Haaah, fine. Since you're also our organisation's leader or whatever I'll tell you..."

Naneko avoided eye-contact a little as she sighed when coming to her conclusion, though she had some trouble telling me.

(Naneko): "I can smell someone's emotions, and my right eye can see the aura of those emotions as colours."

Naneko tells me as she reveals her golden eye underneath her bangs whilst looking downwards. She's probably aware that most people wouldn't like having someone around them with that kind of nosey ability. She's kinda like Kage huh. My first thought was that she could read the mind or sniff out lies, but this is even more amazing!

(Rin): "That's an awesome skill!"

I say in excitement from how op that skill can be. I don't have a reason to hate it. Sure it makes lying difficult, but I can just go around them and make half-lies. Not to mention I have a hard time relying on others or being honest.

(Naneko): "That's not a normal reaction."

Naneko says as she looks at me like some kind of weirdo, before covering her right eye again. Yeah, I'm weird. But I won't hate someone for being unique. I can see the ups and downs of having these kinds ff abilities but I rather focus on the ups. Especially since this is a member of my group.

(Rin): "I don't care about what people think of me, but I rather have that one friend that can understand me when I have trouble talking."

After all those years being called names by people who didn't understand me, I think this is a better option. At least Naneko's kind enough to respect my decisions.

(Akane): "Then if you wanna keep that friend and another, tell us what happened. We can help Rin."

Akane jumped in, probably annoyed that I tried hiding things from her. It's a habit, I can't just randomly stop but I'll try. I was solo until recently after all.

(Rin): "Alright… I think Envy's about to escape my prison."

The uneasy feeling I had before keeps on getting stronger, making me feel like he's waiting for us. It's only been 15 minutes since we've left the pocket dimension, but for envy, that'd be 6 hours thanks to that 1:24 time delay ratio. I don't know how but he's managed to overpower my crystals in such a short amount of time.

(Naneko): "Who's Envy? And what's this about a prison?"

Naneko asks in confusion as she tilts her head. The reason I lied was because I'm worried she'd lose control again facing Envy, so I need to end the fight quick just in case she gets possessed again.

(Rin): "You'll understand when we get there. Want me to carry you there, her Neko-ness?"

I said as I open up my arms, ready to pick Naneko up again.

(Naneko): "Okay, stop with the cringe already and let's go."

(Akane): "Ah, Nano's serious."

Naneko says with a serious face before getting off of the bed as I felt a little dejected. Ouch, that hurts.

(Rin): "Cool."

When Naneko's serious, it's hard to joke around with her. I sighed before opening up another portal to the pocket dimension. Once we entered, we immediately got hit by demonic pressure coming from Envy.

(Envy): "Hahaha. You thought that was enough to stop me?"

I look over to the source of the pressure, Envy, who's leaking out green miasma and bloodlust. The floor around him is covered in broken crystal shards, whereas Envy himself was sitting on top if then, looking at me with a cold smile.

Ah, his hair hasn't grown back yet, looks like that worked then.

(Rin): "Is it bad that I thought it could?"

I say that lazily as I get into a stance. Looks like Envy got stronger from the torture. I wonder if it has something to do with his own element? I mean, he wouldn't be called "Envy" for nothing, right?

(Envy): "Hehe, you even brought me yummy girls to claim for myself, thanks for the warm greeting."

I immediately sharpen my gaze when I heard his words. For god's sake, this guy makes my stomach sick.

(Envy): "Oh? Looks like I found something else that makes you tic-"

(Rin): "Shut up you little Demon."

I didn't want Envy to talk anymore as I used Kurikara to strike him, only to be blocked by his arm.

(Envy): "That power… You don't fucking deserve it!"

Envy says with a low voice before more demonic energy explodes from his body, causing me to get sent back. Seriously? What kind of shounen is this?

(Rin): "Haah, looks like round 2 starts now."

I say that as I crack my neck and massage my shoulders a little. It felt like I was hit by a truck.

(Envy): "Yes, but this time I'll win."

Envy says confidently as he soon starts attacking Akane and Naneko whilst using some kind of telekinesis to use the rocks and crystals as attacks.

(Envy): "You can't fool my eyes. Both of you have tasty Demons inside of ya's. Though they haven't awakened properly yet, I'll make sure to savour your flavour."

Envy started acting like a madman again as he charged towards the girls. I blocked his arm with both my Katana's as he was about to hit them, but the pressure this time was immeasurable.

My arms feel like they're gonna rip apart. How did he power up this much in a few hours?

(Rin): "I'll rip your head out before that happens."

I stubbornly resisted his strength before shifting it to the side and kicking him to the gut. Envy got sent flying in the air for a little bit but he did a backflip to regain posture before immediately charging at me once he made contact to the floor.

(Envy): "Not unless I do this!"

Envy's hand was covered in a green flame-like miasma as he charged towards me. My flames warned me this time to avoid being hit as I jumped to the side. I swang my other katana again, but this time it was blocked by his other hand, as he smirked at me.

(Rin): "What just happened?"

I blinked for a second and I lost sight of Envy. I looked around whilst spreading my aura but I soon found out I couldn't. What was that attack?

(Akane and Naneko): "Rin!"

Those were the last things I heard before the scenery suddenly changed. I was staring at a road. The road was overcrowded as both parents and their children were walking around, probably after school ended.

Shit, did Envy teleported me? This is gonna look mad suspicious. I need to get out quick

"Hey look, it's that boy Ryan."

I was lost in figuring out where the hell I was and why it looked so familiar to me until I heard a voice a little bit away from me. In the sea of voices, for some reason, that one stuck out.

I looked over at the voice as I see a kid pointing towards me while he was talking to his friends but I couldn't make out his face for some reason and the same with his friends. What are they doing? Why's my vision gotten worse now?

"Weirdo. His eyes creep me out."

"My mum told me he doesn't have a dad."

"It's sad huh. But my mum told me to stay away from him. I heard someone call him 'Ryan the Bastard'"

Huh? Why are these kids calling me by that name…? I swear I was… Wait, where was I...?

Something didn't feel right. Where was I? I don't remember being here at my primary school. I looked at the windows of the building and saw my reflection. Short dirty blonde, dead black eyes, pale skin that made me look like a sick patient, and a bony, malnourished body that looked more like bones than anything else.

(Teacher): "Ryan, go home now. School's over now."

A female teacher soon came up to me as she told me to go home whilst giving me a light nudge. I could tell from her voice that she didn't like me even though I didn't know why. I looked at the other kids as they all leave in cars or with their parents whereas I'm by myself.

All alone. Alone. Again/

Something burned inside me when I looked at this sight. Burn. All of you.

"That poor child, he even has scars on his little fingers."

A mother said with fake pity as she laughs with her friend. Even though I couldn't see their faces, I knew she was glaring at me as if I was some kind of creature.

"Come now, there's no point in worrying about another's child. It's the parents' fault for letting him stay like that."

The women next to her smiles disgustingly as she doesn't even try hiding her dislike for me. Why…? Why's everyone able to leave home peacefully while I have to dread going home…? My head started to hurt as flashbacks of pain started to appear.

"Because I hate you."

I grabbed my head in pain as I tried calming myself down from my trauma, but then I heard a voice. Her voice.

I was told by others that her voice was as sweet as honey to the hear and some even compared her to an angel singing, but to me, it was nothing like that. It was a death sentence. One that was personally executed by the god of death himself.

I looked at the voice that I never wanted to hear again. One that never ends and leaves me suffering.

My mother.

"You were a mistake. You caused everything to go wrong."

Shut up. I didn't deserve that life.

"I would've lived fine if it wasn't for you!"

I didn't do anything, you fucking whore!

"I wish you were fucking dead!"

(Rin): "Then fucking kill me already!"

My head spins when I hear all these insults. Over and over again. Why? Why!? Why the fuck do I have to suffer like this! What did I do to deserve this!?! Did I roll the dice wrong in my past life something?!

"Look at that boy."

Kill them. I want to kill them all. Everyone that's happy. They're the reason I'm like this. Everyone that's made fun of me! The ones who laughed! I wanna kill them and steal everything!

"Demon."

"A bastard."

Wait, what's happening to me? I wanna kill them! Wait, no, I've never behaved like this before. Because I've been holding all the fucking anger back!

"Spawn of Satan."

I grabbed my head as it throbbed painfully as tears started pouring out. My entire body was shaking in anger and jealousy of everyone. I want to kill them! I want to smash the heads of everyone that pisses me off.

(Rin): "Good idea."

I followed my own damn advice and smashed my head against the pavement. I didn't know what was going on, but the last shred of reasoning I had knew something was wrong. I continued slamming my head until the entire floor was covered in blood, but even then, I didn't pass out as the voices quieten down significantly.

Silence finally. They're gone…

I thought to myself in happiness as I started recovering from my self inflicted pain.

(Rin): "My flames…"

I subconsciously called out to my flames as it affectionately dances around my palms. These flame, I remember now. I look around my surroundings to see the people disappear in smoke, including that bitch of a mother of mine.

Well, everyone except for one. me.

"So you come from another world as well huh."

The boy had the exact same as me. Everything except for the smug smile he never learnt to make.

(Rin): "You're Envy, aren't you?"

I say that as I feel my body change back to my original as Rin. I can recognise that annoying smile anywhere.

(Envy): "Of course. You've had a tragic life haven't you."

Envy says sarcastically with the same level of uncaring as the people from before. If this guy wasn't an idiot, he would've been more of a headache to deal with. I guess that's a blessing in disguise huh.

(Rin): "Something like that. It doesn't matter anymore."

I say that as I regain my normal appearance. That was a good reflection of what I've been through, I guess that was my most envious moment in my life. The fact everyone around me was living well except for me. I won't forget that, but I won't let it shackle me down.

(Rin): "Now what do you mean by the 'other world as well'. What do you know about it?"

I say that as I summon Kurikara. I doubt this is a multiple isekai story, but I can't completely erase that thought. If I can somehow get into this world, other's could too.

Plus there could exist more than one world. I can't be certain since Assiah and Gehenna could be considered as different worlds.

(Envy): "If I hadn't answered while you were torturing me, what makes you think I'll answer you now?"

Envy says calmly while still trying to annoy me. Good.

(Rin): "I didn't. I've been itching for a fight for a while now."

I swing Kurikara at Envy who blocks it before using my free hand to summon my other katana to stab Envy's shoulder. The exchange didn't last long as I jumped off when I felt the aura of his previous attack.

(Envy): "Che, and I was close to stealing your powers as well. Take this!"

Envy says in an annoyed voice as he uses more green miasma. I simply smiled at his one trick act as I increase the intensity of my flames.

(Rin): "You think the same attack will affect me?"

I sent out a satan slash towards the miasma as it soon absorbed everything in its path.

(Envy): "But how?"

Envy asks idiotically as his body was open for attacks. I quickly ran up to him before grabbing his neck.

(Rin): "You know, there's a misconception about my flames."

I say that as my blue flames turn to a green shade similiar to Envy's Miasma. The power it contained was of a different principle from my usual blue flames. These had a different purpose.

(Rin): "It doesn't have to destroy anything to exist. it simply follows the will of the user."

I say that as my grip gets stronger and the flames soon pour themselves into Envy's pores. Envy tried struggling harder once he realised what was happening.

(Rin): "It can also absorb energy and claim them for its own."

A taste of your own medicine.

(Rin): "Satan's Nightmare."

(Envy): "Aaaaaaaah!!!!"

Envy started screaming as I threw him to the ground. Those new flames are only limited to seeing the most envious moments of your life, but for Envy that might be his everyday life. Oh well, I'll continue draining him of his powers whilst getting stronger myself.

But I swear if this bastard has a method to escape this one as well…

(Akane): "Rin!"

Whilst I was thinking to myself, I suddenly heard a voice as I got sucked back into the real world to see Akane's face covered in scratch marks and dirt. She looked like she was about to cry, so I gave her a head pat. I passed out huh.

(Rin): "Sup."

(Akane): "Don't 'Sup' me! Are you hurt?"

Akane showed anger at me which startled me a little. I guess she was worried, I need to stop being insensitive like this.

(Rin): "Am I okay with a beautiful girl nursing me up? Who wouldn't be happy?"

I say that whilst giving her a hug of my own whilst stroking her back to calm her down. Akane's body was stiff when I held her but it calmed down quite quickly as she returned the hug with her own.

(Naneko): "Do you guys mind flirting after dealing with this bastard first?!"

Unfortunately we got interrupted by Naneko who, similarly to Akane, is covered in marks as her dress is covered in dirt with her claws and cat ears out. Seeing her in her outfit looked strangely pleasing to the eye.

(Rin): "Awww, but I just woke up."

I say that sleepily as I rest my head on Akane, who doesn't seem to mind.

(Naneko): "I'm about to plummet your skull to the ground."

Naneko gets angry as black miasma with golden trials mixed in starts pouring out of her, symbolising that she's seriously pissed. I got a little shocked before complying with my usual attitude.

(Rin): "Yes, yes, mum, I'll get up."

Seeing her release miasma caught me off guard, but I didn't want to trigger her incase her inner demon comes out again. Dealing with two demons at once would be difficult.

(Akane): "Good luck Rin."

(Rin): "Thanks."

I say that as I get up to look at Envy who seems to have taken a hit when fighting me in that mental world thing. Heh, how's it feel to go through what you're victims did?

(Envy): "Heh, so you're back again."

Envy says with rugged breathes as he was barely able to stand by himself.

(Rin): "You did a number on me in that mental world…"

I start recalling what happened moments ago before cementing that experience to my head. I'm different now, I'm stronger than before.

(Rin): "I think it's time I give you something as thanks for the pleasant dream."

I released my flames as blue miasma soon follows, my vision turns an extra dark shade of blue as I slowly approached Envy. Prepare for hell on earth.

(Rin): "Satan's Nightmare."

The miasma around me turns to a greenish shade as my flames turn to green before covering Envy's body. Envy himself couldn't defend like he could before, nor could he dodge because of the previous damage he's taken, making him an easy target for once.

(Rin): "Satan's Eternal Pain."

My flames turn back to blue as I increase the burning effect of the green flames that surround him, making the flames around him flicker between blue or green. As they both have their own effects on Envy.

(Rin): "Satan's Burning Hell...."

My flames then turn black as I targetted his soul, burning it up as it repairs itself over and over again. His screams intensify as my head and body were starting to feel the pressure of using so many skills at once, but I didn't stop just here. Not yet.

(Rin): "Satan's... Frozen Hell..."

I didn't let up there as my flames turned white as I implement a freezing effect on Envy. These flames are used to absorb heat, making it similar to a freezer but much worse. The surroundings started to feel cold thanks to them as my eyes starting to feel hazy. One last… move.

(Rin): "And to… Finish it all up... Satan's... Prison...."

And to end it all, I made sure to trap Envy in the same old prison, to make sure he's restrained. I made sure he won't be able to die during the process and set the flames to do their individual tasks without interfering with each other. Giving it a weird scene of Green, Blue, Black, White flames interweaving with each other in a giant crystal.

Tired. I can barely move my body now.

(Naneko): "Damn, don't you think that's a little overkill?"

Naneko along with Akane soon comes to me after I finished dealing with the final move. She lost the miasma she had before, meaning she was calmer. That's good to see

(Rin): "Maybe but that depends how resilient he is. He represents Envy, remember? He can get stronger the more envious he gets and can control the envy of others. The best way to fix that is, well, torturing him physically and mentally till he becomes near lifeless."

I say that as I relax the tension from my body. That's what I've thought up with at least. He must've got angry at me which triggered his natural abilities to cause that power up. Haaah, this guy still has his tricks up his sleeves, I need to make sure he doesn't break out when I'm not looking. I still plan to use him as a training dummy for my members until he dies.

(Naneko): "Are… are you okay? When you passed out from his hit I sensed a lot of anger and envy coming from you… and a lot of sadness."

Naneko says with a concerned voice as her eyes glimmer in worry. I guess she smelled my emotions and how they're still affecting me. I smiled at her worry before answering.

(Rin): "I'll tell you guys about it one day. Right now, I just want to sleep."

I might tell them, I might not, but right now, I need sleep. Badly. Those last 5 moves used up the rest of my energy reserves.

(Rin): "Let's go-"

I was gonna suggest going to the dormitory to rest up, but when I took a step forward, I ended up losing my balance and fell on top of both Akane and Naneko, making both of them fall over in the process.

Goddammit, I didn't want this kind of fanservice to happen.

(Naneko): "Oi, get off us!"

Naneko was the first one to react but even her body was tired as she couldn't pick me up. My face is close to her breasts, but I ignore that as I start losing consciousness. I guess using that many big moves and transferring between flame properties drained me more than I thought.

(Rin): "I wish I could... But my body... Can't move right now."

I say with a wry smile as I rest my head on their arms.

(Akane): "Haah, just let him sleep. He's used too much energy."

Akane says with a smile as she starts petting my head and playing with my navy hair. I felt much calmer thanks to it and finally went to sleep.

This was a long day...
