46 Garden

[A/N: Author here gonna mention a change I'm gonna add to the story. Don't worry, Rin or anyone isn't gonna get nerfed, but the pocket dimension is gonna get nerfed because I just realised how stupidly op I made it. A bit unnecessary tbh but it's required if Rin's gonna grow demon herbs and stuff in his pocket dimension

So currently it is a 1:24 ratio for the time delay, meaning per day in the real world, 24 days would pass in the pocket dimension! That's a bit ridiculous imo. If Rin accidentally falls asleep and leaves someone there, they'd be waiting for an extra 5-10 days just for Rin to get up.

Another thing, I got tests and assignments due for the whole of next week so I won't have any time to write a chapter until next week weekends. Sorry! I feel like a shit for not sticking to the schedule again.

So tl;dr version: pocket dimension time is gonna be 6 times slower than the real world as opposed to the 24 times speed and I'm taking a week off. Hope you enjoy the read.]

(Yanno): "Fine I guess, but you'd be supervising me. I'm not as strong as you guys after all. This so goes against human morals."

Yanno complains before walking towards Envy. Good, this will get interesting.

(Rin): "No problem but we're demons dude, morals are kinda useless in the supernatural world."

I said as I scratched my head a little from what Yanno said. Huh, why's my hair braided? Must've been the girls' prank when I was still out cold.

It's unfortunate but having morals would cause too many problems for our group. Some decisions are gonna decide the life or death of others after all. As long as we don't stray too far away from our humanities, we should be alright.

Hopefully.

(Rin): "Anyway, these guys are technically your Kouhai but at the same time, they ain't. They've only been here for less than a week after all."

I said so whilst pointing at the girls with my thumb. Naneko still has a look of shock but looks like she's adjusting to Yanno's sudden identity reveal, whereas Akane's still being her weird self, being afraid of Yanno even though she's much stronger than him.

I wonder if Yanno beats her in a real fight would she be comfortable with him as well and be able to talk to him without looking away or being shy? For some reason, the thought of them getting along with each other didn't stick well with me. Weird, am I feeling jealous of Akane talking to other guys? I guess I do have some feelings for her huh…

Even though Yanno has a girlfriend already. This feeling's weird.

(Yanno): "I mean, I've only been here for a few days extra and I may not be as physically strong as other Demons but I try making it up by using my brains. My speciality is summoning insects."

I shake off the sudden depressing mood I had as I watch Yanno introduce himself to the members of the group. He opened his palms towards us as a greenish-blue miasma got released. The miasma only lasted for about two seconds before a small moth-like creature appeared on his hand as it looked at us in confusion.

Yep, that's creepy. I may be a demon and Satan's son but I still can't willingly touch an insect. Yanno is a monster.

(Naneko): "Eww, gross!"

Naneko who was originally looking at Yanno's palm with interest suddenly shrieks before hiding behind me, dragging Akane with her since she was originally behind her too. What is this weird scene? My kids are just laughing their heads off at the two idiots behind me as they walk towards Yanno who was feeling down from what Naneko said.

(Yanno): "Haha, ouch."

Yanno says whilst making a self-deprecating smile as he himself knows how, well, disgusting his powers are. He's already self-conscious of his physique, to begin with, this got to have made that worse.

(Rin): "I didn't think you'd hate bugs this much. Even if you do, at least be considerate to the person who didn't pick his powers."

I say in an annoyed tone as I reprimand Naneko for being insensitive. She should know herself what it's like being born with these kinds of powers. They come with their ups and downs but it usually starts with the downs since no one can control them that easily. I was lucky enough to have that training room to practise my flames in. if not, I wouldn't have been comfortable to even train at all without being scared of burning down a forest or two.

I look back to Yanno who smiled at me as his eyes started looking better already. I do understand where Naneko is coming from though. I'm scared of insects too. I even got a phobia of them. I got it from my mother though. That bitch used to throw insects at me saying some bullshit like "This is what you are". She would always find ways to throw insects at me. Or torture me.

Once she cooked me a meal for once, which surprised me since I would usually only get cold scrap, only to take a bite of it to find maggots inside of it. She only smiled at me and forced me to continue eating it, much to my protest, even going as far as force-feeding me directly.

I've had a rough time with insects because of her. Usually thanks to her forcing me to eat them, and yes, spiders were included in those tortures. Too many for me to count, and I don't want to even begin counting them. Those were just a few things she'd use to torture me with.

I still question how I made it to the age of 16 while living with her. The torture she did to me would've killed an ordinary human. I guess I got lucky, even though my body was nowhere as strong as I am right now.

Oh well, back to Yanno. Thanks to him, I'm sorta coming to terms with my insect phobia. I'm still far from touching them, but I can at least look at them now.

Though his pranks with those insects make me want to burn him alive sometimes...

(Naneko): "Sorry Yanno-san, that was insensitive of me. But seriously, who in their right minds think bugs are cool!?!"

Naneko says with a quiet tone before yelling the last bit out loud. Yep, we may be demons but we still got our fears too. A bit weird, eh? Nothing like those comic books show huh. Akane doesn't seem to have anything against the Moth Chuchi though.

Will her phobia activate on male Chuchi's? I don't mean to offend anyone but the thought just crossed my mind.

(Midori): "Hmm? I think these guys are interesting."

(Kuro): "Yeah, unlike normal bugs, these guys aren't annoying and have some form of self-conscious."

(Kage): "They are like the little Coal Tars that surround the school. I think they are cute."

Unlike the mature members of the group, only the kids are the only ones that are alright with the insects. They're even playing with it as the Moth Chuchi flies over to Kuro's hand and crawls to his arms. They're so carefree sometimes. I can't even try doing something like that.

I guess this isn't a cat thing huh. Naneko's scared of these little critters whereas Kuro is calm with them.

(Naneko): "Nevermind, these kittens really are Satan's grandchildren."

Naneko says with a huge sigh as she rubs her temples. She's been sighing a lot lately. She's still wearing her Neko-hime outfit, by the way. I'm surprised Yanno hasn't questioned it, but oh well. Chance to strike.

(Rin): "Kittens, huh. Is that what you're gonna refer to our kids as?"

I say teasingly as I poke on her cheeks. Damn, these are soft. I had the sudden urge to play with them a little more but I couldn't, thanks to Naneko's reaction to my statement. Booo, I wanted to continue.

(Naneko): "I-I didn't mean it like that!"

Naneko says with wide eyes from the realisation of her words as her face turns to a light shade of red again. She's fun to mess with like this.

(Akane): "Su~~~~re."

(Naneko): "Shut up!"

Tsundere-chan says while hitting the Shy Akane who's laughing the punches off. Hmm, can I call her Shykane when she's like this? And Naneko would be Tsuneko.

(Yanno): "Haha, I'm guessing they know about you."

Yanno says as he laughs at the stupid duo in front of us. He seems better now. That's good.

(Rin): "Yep, It's sorta the requirement to join, to be honest."

Which is sorta the reason why I don't want to add any of the Cram School students to the "Blue Cross" just yet. Their initial reaction to Rin's identity of being Satan's son was really negative after all. I think I just want to focus on my relationships with them whilst slowly helping them get stronger by giving them occasional pushes and some friendly rivalry. I already got plans on how to get Suguro to get stronger after all.

Mainly because he's the simplest to deal with.

(Rin): "Now before we deal with Envy any further…"

I shook my head as I stopped thinking about training the Cram School student as I looked at the six demons in front of me. Now's the time to deal with these guys instead of them.

(Rin): "... Our Hell Training starts now!"

I say that with a grin as I give a look to Yanno. He noticed the meaning behind the look before shivering as his forehead got lightly covered in sweat. Looks like his detection skills have improved a little huh.

(Yanno): "Hahaha. Yeah, fuck this shit!"

Yanno nervously laughs and says before running away from me at full power, with speeds as fast as a track team's ace. Heh, you think that's gonna be enough to outrun me?

(Rin): "For a Demon with no impressive strength, you sure are fast."

I say that whilst catching right after him in a few seconds. I feel bad for Yanno, even my kids are faster than him, but that's mainly because everyone else are close combat specialist whereas Yanno is just a slightly physically stronger summoner than the average.

Though his mind is the real power he has.

(Yanno): "And who do you think that's because?! Stop chasing after me!"

Yanno says as the greenish-blue miasma appeared from his arms again before a swarm of Giant Black Beetles got summoned along with smaller demons like Bees, flies, moths etc, were flying towards me. Yikes, that's a scary sight to behold.

(Rin): "Well, you could run faster, you know?"

I say that as I summon my spare katana as I touch the sword from the base to the tip as I channelled white flames into it. I fancied the thought of having a katana per flame colour but stopped when I realised how impractical that would be. Plus, I'm still in debt with Yoshikuni. Let's deal with that first before I do anything crazy.

The white flames that covered the blade of my katana made the nearby temperature immediately cool down as I sent out a white Satan Slash towards the insect army that was approaching me. They all made weird noises as they made contact with the white flames, making their exoskeleton body, and/or whatever they have, get covered in a white frost before hitting the floor and shattering into pieces.

He's made improvements, nice one man.

(Yanno): "Since when in the bloody fuck can you use ice-fire? How does that make sense?"

Yanno says in disbelief as he makes all the demon insects turn back to miasma to recharge his reserves a little bit. Using that many insects isn't much of a problem to the current Yanno after training with me for a few days. Thanks to that cheat of his, he's able to convert his summoned demons back to miasma again, the energy used to fuel demonic abilities, making him an annoying demon to fight against if you're all by your own. Well, obviously the conversion isn't that good, he should be on 80% in his reserves now.

I'm only 30% in my reserves if I'm being honest. That fight against Envy made me go empty but I recovered a bit during that blissful sleep, plus this pocket dimension makes recovering easier to do. I wonder if I can ever get back to that state when I was sleeping? Something about it was comforting to my soul.

(Rin): "I can't use ice fire. It's more heat manipulation than anything. The darker the shade of blue they get, the hotter they get and the same vice versa"

I said as I rested my Katana over my shoulder whilst taunting the guy. My control over this ability is a little worse compared to my other flames. Well not bad, but I'm not satisfied with it. I can't set a limit to how much heat I absorb, so if I let it go on overtime, it'd just freeze everything to nothing.

(Yanno): "Fuck you, man."

Yanno says as he kneels on one knee before clapping his hands and slams them down to the ground. A huge amount of Miasma gets released as the ground caves in before a giant ant appears with Yanno riding on top of it.

(Rin): "I still don't understand how you can stay calm touching insects man."

I say in an amazed tone as I see him try something new. I guess he's thought of using his insects as mounts. That'd come in handy if we want to travel to places in large groups. Using my silver flames are tiring if I use it on too many people, as was shown when I first brought everyone to the pocket dimension.

(Yanno): "I'm just built differently, I guess. Take this one!"

Yanno says with a smug smile as he summons a few more ants as they charge at me. The sight honestly makes me want to run away from this place as my hands shake a little from the phobia, but I firm it as I stabbed the ground with my Katana

(Rin): "Satan's Frozen Surface."

(Yanno): "W-whoa!"

White flames surrounded us as the area inside the ring goes to the negatives in the thermometer. The flames sucked all the heat from the moisture of the ground as it got covered in frost, making the ants slide all over the place and hitting each other in the process. Yanno was screaming from the sudden chaos as he was trying his best to stabilise his ant mount, but it didn't go well for him.

Yikes, that's gotta hurt.

(Naneko): "I… I don't remember our training being anything like this."

While I was busy enjoying my fight against Yanno whilst keeping an eye on my energy reserves, Naneko mumbles to herself as she looks at us like we're some kind of crazy kids. Well, she hasn't seen me go crazy all out against anyone other than Envy huh. And that was only for a little bit without me playing around with him first.

(Rin): "Oh? That's mainly because you haven't reached Yanno's training yet. Akane's more than ready but I didn't want to scare ya just yet. Have fun with the basics while they last~!"

I said to Naneko as I jumped back to dodge another summons attack. This time it's a caterpillar, eh? When Naneko gains a few more abilities and maybe awakens more of her inner demon, I'll increase her training intensity.

(Akane): "This is gonna be fun~."

Akane says as her face had a flushed expression whilst she licked her lips in anticipation to the battle. I can't wait for the all-out fight against Akane now that she's gained some new skills.

(Naneko): "Not you too! Wait, the kids must-"

Naneko looks at the excited Akane realising that she was all down for the intense training ahead. She tried looking at the kids in the hope that they'd agree with her to not have the extra training, but unfortunately, they're not normal kids.

The three children of mine say in unison as a giant earthworm comes out of the frosty ground before coming towards me to devour me. Goddamn, this guy learned how to use a variety of insects now. My hands are trembling from the sight but I ignore it as I jump towards it.

(Naneko): "You've got to be kidding me…"

Naneko says with her head down. I didn't get a good look at her, but I could feel her eyes glued onto me. Oh yeah, she can see negative emotions right? I wonder what colour I'm releasing to her right now.

(Kuro): "Though he holds back a lot when sparring against us."

(Midori): "I know right? He goes too easy on us compared to Yanno-ji. It's no fair"

(Kage): "Poor Yanno oji-san. Ah, the earthworm got cut in half now."

My kids were talking about me as Yanno and I were starting to get serious as the fight dragged out. As much as he denies it, his demon side leaks out when he's fighting

You can't hide that little smile on your face man. You know you're secretly a battle junkie. He likes this challenge.

(Naneko): "What the hell have I done by joining this group!?!"

Naneko says probably because she realised that everyone's being genuine with their statements. We're all battle crazy to an extent, but that's mainly because we have a goal. To survive that doomsday event.

(Akane): "You know you love us all Nano. You're just not good at admitting your feelings."

Akane says before groping Naneko's left butt cheek which causes her to jolt back in surprise and anger. I wonder what that feels like?

(Naneko): "Why you…"

I could swear I saw a black cat behind her as Naneko looked down to the ground. It only lasted for an instant, but it was enough for Yanno and me to stop fighting for a second before watching the girls.

(Naneko): "That's it, I've had enough! Get your succubus little ass over here!"

(Akane): "Can't touch this!"

Naneko yells as the aura from before disappears before chasing after Akane. Akane had a smile on her as she continued fueling the fire in Naneko whilst enjoying the chase. They seem energetic huh. I guess that's thanks to the pocket dimension.

(Yanno): "Those two are close."

(Rin): "Yup, they are. Let's continue."

(Yanno): "Obviously, let's see if I can beat you this time!"

(Rin): "Haha, bring it on!"

We grin at each other as we give our all in the spar.

-Kuro's Pov-

(Kuro): "Haah, the place has gone to chaos."

I said with a sigh as I watched my over eccentric father fight against uncle Yanno with everything he's got. Meanwhile at the opposite side of them are my soon to be mothers fighting against each other as they "play" tag with each other.

This family's a mess, but I love it.

(Kage): "It really has. Shall we join them with a spar of our own?"

(Midori): "Yeah, let's go! I'm getting bored of just watching them fight!"

Kage, my little sister, says calmly as she looks at father and uncle Yanno fighting with a fire in her eyes, whereas Midori, my younger brother, says with a grin on his face. These two siblings of mine lack common sense of this world, much like me but we all know one thing for certain. We can get stronger.

(Kuro): "I knew you were gonna say that, but not from you Kage. Did Midori rub off of you?"

I asked as a joke as I rub my younger brother's messy hair. It's gone past his shoulders now, much like mine.

(Kage): "I cannot stay silent whilst Kaa-sama's and Tou-san are training."

Kage says as she doesn't break eye contact with the fight one bit. Looks like she's getting some inspiration for her shadow skill.

(Midori): "Why do you say that as if I'm a muscle head?"

Midori says as he fixes his hair from my patting. Isn't it obvious?

(Kuro): "Hmm? It's cause you are a muscle head."

I say that whilst messing with his hair again. I see why father likes giving us head pats. This is fun.

(Midori): "Oi! I'm top of our class!"

(Kage): "Midori nii-chan has a point, Kuro nii-chan. He is smarter than both of us."

Midori says whilst making a small tantrum with his arms flailing around to stop me from messing with his hair.

(Kuro): "Fine whatever. Let's go!"

I said as we all got ready to spar against each other. I got myself a new technique that I've been meaning to try out.

(Kage and Midori): "Yay!"

I love these guys. This really is my home.

-Rin's Pov-

We ended up sparring against each other in this weird free for all until it became dark. Everyone was enjoying this craziness of a battle royale that we forgot that this was meant to be for training. I dealt with the darkness by setting my flames around the place like lanterns before cleaning everyone of their sweat and dirt with my flames then getting the beds from the spare rooms for us to use.

Yanno suggested sleeping a little away from us since he's told me he physically can't sleep with clothes on and didn't want the girls to feel uncomfortable with it. I looked at him like some kind of weirdo before accepting.

Maybe I should try it out one day? But not now.

I thought to myself as I collapsed onto my bed as soon as we got everyone done for the night before passing out. I needed this

-The Next "Day"-

After waking up from yesterday's intense training, I felt my body sore all over as I had a little difficulty moving around. It's rare for demons to have muscle pains, as I was told by my instructors in the Cram School, so you could imagine how much work we did yesterday. It was fun though. Dangerous but fun. We should do those more often. Letting loose like that every once in a while is good after all.

I did some stretches to relieve me of the muscle pains a little as I looked over at my kids that are sharing a bed together. Their sleeping posture is as terrible as always as Midori's feet are on Kuro's face as he uses Kage's stomach as a pillow. I helped the little brat of mine before giving him a head pat. These guys are the best.

(Naneko): "They look so carefree."

I was stroking their heads until I heard Naneko's sleepy voice behind me. I turned around to see a yawning Naneko wearing a black top and black short shorts with her hair, even more, messier than usual. Goddamn, that hair needs to get combed sometimes. Why's she up so early?

(Rin): "Morning, had a little nightmare?"

I greeted her before asking her why she's awake so early. I usually get up early out of habit to escape my mum's house as soon as possible and it sorta stuck even in this world. It's usually whenever the sun rises, but in this world, I just wake up around 5 am every day.

(Naneko): "Shut up. I just woke up and can't fall back asleep, you know?"

Naneko says with some annoyance in her tone as she sits on the edge of the kids' bed to give them head pats too. For someone who hates the whole harem talks the kids go on about, she likes the kids a lot huh.

(Rin): "Fair enough. Hey, wanna check out the garden I'm making?"

I say as I'm done patting them for now then got up from the bed.

(Naneko): "Huh, you're also a gardener now?"

Naneko says in surprise as her golden eyes glamour in a questioning tone. I feel like I'm starting to be more like a housekeeper by the day.

(RIn): "Haha, not even. I'm just trying to liven the place up a little, to be honest. Just seeing the red sky and red ground gets a little boring."

I say that as some of the red soil underneath us. I found out that it's possible to grow plants here thanks to the abundant amount of energy this world has, but it lacks any worms or anything, meaning natural fertilisers are gonna be a little difficult to get. I'm sorta looking forward to it and not, since I'll be dealing with manure.

(Naneko): "Oh, no wonder you got that job then. Good idea."

Naneko says with an "Ah-ha" moment before giving me a thumbs up.

(Rin): "Haha, you've figured me out. Before we go, fix your hair already."

I say that with a smile before making the suggestion. I'm close to just summoning a comb and fixing her hair myself. It's that bad, plus I like it when her hair's combed a little.

(Naneko): "Nah, I'm lazy."

Naneko says lazily as she lies down on the bed facing towards me. That's it.

(Rin): "FIne, sit on the bed. I'll comb it for you."

I said with a sigh as I summoned a comb. Her hair is getting crazier and crazier by the second.

(Naneko): "Eh? For real?"

Naneko says whilst making a weird face saying "What is this kid saying?". My suggestion wasn't that creepy, was it?

(Rin): "Did I say something weird? I've sorta been wanting to comb your hair for a while now. You look better when it's neatened up a little."

I said that with confusion at why she made that face. I guess it's not normal to make this suggestion huh. I didn't realise what I said could be taken the wrong way.

(Naneko): "Oh? So I don't usually look good, is that what you're saying?"

And now she's changed from looking at me like a weirdo to glaring at me. Goddammit, Rin. Pick your words carefully…

(Rin): "Of course not. I just thought of it as a way to thank you."

I tried coming up an excuse for my stupidity but all I could come up with was a thank you.

(Naneko): "Thank me for what?"

(Rin): "For sticking around with my crazy plans. It's not every day that you see a demon saying he wants to prepare for when the world will end."

I'm aware that I do or say cringey stuff after all. I sorta feel entitled to express my happiness for that but I have no clue how to do it. I'm still learning about my emotions and stuff after all.

(Naneko): "Idiot, I'm not the only that's sticking with you, you know? Not to mention you've made me move on with my life."

Naneko says whilst shaking her head before messing with my head like a child. I guess we've helped each other huh.

(Rin): "I guess so. Don't mind me, I just feel like doing it."

I say that as I start combing her hair. It's a lot softer than I thought it'd be. There's not that many knots like I thought she'd have, but the bed-hair refused to go down even after combing that one part ten times.

Damn, how did she get her hair fixed for the concert? Is she secretly a Saiyan?.

(Akane): "Lemme have a go too."

While I was busy dealing with my new enemy, Akane suddenly appeared behind me and gave me a surprise hug. She wants me to comb her too? But her hair isn't even that bad.

(Rin): "Morning, what's up with you guys waking up this early?"

I say that as I get another comb and use my tail to deal with Akane's hair

(Akane): "I guess it's from excitement? I've been wanting these kinds of battles for a while now."

Akane says with a satisfied smile as I comb both their hairs. I won't lie, this is more difficult than I thought it was but I'm getting a hang of it.

(Naneko): "This is weirdly nice. Maybe I should let you do this to me more often?"

Naneko says with a relaxed smile on her face. I'm glad someone's enjoying this, her hair is a nightmare to groom. I feel bad for her hairdresser.

(Akane): "Yeah, your tail is surprisingly dexterous."

Akane says once I'm done combing her hair. She looked at it for a second before she started playing around with it.

My tail is sensitive so I had to quickly escape from her grasp

(RIn): "Well, I have been training it."

I say that while giving her a little glare. A tail is a demon's weakness after all, it's kinda scary letting someone touch it.

(Rin): "And done."

I say that as I finally fix the Naneko's messy bed hair and groomed it to look like Neko-hime.

(Naneko): "5, 4, 3, 2, 1…"

Naneko began counting as I tilted my head in confusion. Why's she counting?

(Naneko): "And boom."

As soon as she said that, her hair went right back to how it was before as I looked at her in defeat. My hard work...

(Akane): "Nano's hair is just as strange as my fear of men."

(Naneko): "Hey, don't say that."

The two girls say as I stare at Naneko's bed hair. This will be a tough battle. Naneko noticed my stare as she tilted her head in confusion.

(Rin): "I won't give up with just that."

(Naneko): "Eh?"

(Rin): "I will fix that hair one day!"

I shouted as I made my new goal known to the two girls. That hair is mocking me.

I know it isn't but it seems like a fun challenge.

(Akane): "Hahaha, good luck with that one. By the way, can I get a massage too? My shoulders hurt from yesterday's intense fights."

Akane fell off the bed as she rolled on the floor laughing at what I said. Ouch, a bit harsh. But massages huh.

(Rin): "I can try? I used to give the guys at the monastery massages."

Not to mention I had to give some to my mother when she wasn't in the mood to hit me. Those were rare times, but I was thankful for it at the time.

I guess that's one of the few good things I gained from living with her.

(Naneko): "We're making too much noise. Yanno-san and the kittens are gonna wake up at this rate."

Naneko says with a sigh as she looks at us like we were kids. Akane and I looked at each other from what Naneko said and smiled at each other. She doesn't notice what she said.

(Naneko): "I said it again, fucks sake."

It took her a few seconds to realise why we were smiling, probably because she was replaying the words into her mind, before sighing to herself. She's cute whenever she's annoyed like this.

(Rin): "Alright, let's get a move on."

I said that as I hopped off the bed. The noise isn't enough to wake up these sleepy heads, I know that for a fact since it takes forever to wake them up. I then made a portal of silver flames as I make a connection between here and the "Garden" I've been working on recently.

(Naneko): "Whoa, this place is a lot greener than I expected. How does the grass even grow when it doesn't even rain or have sunlight here?"

Naneko says in amazement as she looks at the patchy field of grass in front of her. The bright green grass gives off a weird contrast to the rusty red ground, making it look a little surreal.

This has been the result of my hard work. If things go well, I can plant fruits here and hopefully they can cause some kind of special effect or at least be tasty.

(Rin): "Thanks. The only reason it's like this is thanks to the time dilation and the world's natural energy here. I have a feeling that these plants are gonna mutate thanks to the different system here."

I had a lot of doubts planting these but luckily it turned out well. It feels like some author's bullshit but it works for now.

(Naneko): "That sounds like a risky idea but good luck with it. The time dilation is 1:6, right? How long has it been here since you've planted them?"

(Rin): "I've been working on them for a week in the real world. I think 42 days have gone by so far."

To think I got lucky getting this place. If Yanno didn't get possessed by his inner demon, I never would've been able to get this broken ability.

(Akane): "Damn, already? This place really is a cheat."

Akane says in surprise when she realises the significance of what I said. If we raise some animals here, I wonder if they'd become demons in this kind of environment? Kuro explained to me a while back that he was an ordinary cat until he naturally grew his intelligence and became a demon.

(Naneko): "I'm just worried if Rin forgets to bring us out while he's sleeping. We'd be waiting for days before he remembers to bring us back."

Naneko said that with concern in her voice. Damn, I didn't even think about that. It'd be hell if someone does that to me.

(Akane): "I never thought about that. That's a good way to torture someone though. We should've done that first."

(Naneko): "First? What does she mean by that, Rin."

Akane accidentally let her mind wander, revealing to Naneko what we did yesterday. Oh boy, Naneko isn't gonna like hearing this.

(Rin): "Well, we sorta tried interrogating Envy before we came back to see you."

(Naneko): "Oh yeah? How'd you torture him?"

Naneko said whilst pressuring me by having her face close to mine. Her golden eyes looked like they were trying to pierce into my mind.

(Rin): "Oh just the usual stuff."

(Naneko): "Hmmm?"

I tried brushing the topic but she didn't seem satisfied with that answer. Yep, she's not gonna let up with this interrogation, is she?

(Rin): "Fine, but remember he pissed me off before that happened. He said he'd, well, rape you and Akane so I sorta saw red and lost it."

I scratched my head when I said that. Well, I saw blue mainly, but that's beside the point. I felt like an inner demon of mine was slowly awakening when we were torturing him. I liked the feeling but I'm worried that I'd get overtaken by that feeling.

(Naneko): "O-oh I see. Thanks for doing that."

Naneko had a red face as we both had an awkward laugh to fill in the silence.

(Akane): "Yeah thanks. Scooping his eyes out was fun too."

(Naneko): "Scooping his eyes out…?"

Akane broke the awkwardness by saying something stupid. I just got her off the topic, why bring it back like that!

(Naneko): "Akane dear, what else did you do?"

Naneko suddenly had a weirdly calm smile on her face as she closed her eyes. I don't know why but that scene suddenly sent shivers to me.

(Akane): "She's called me 'dear', Nano is angry. Run!"

I guess I wasn't the only one. Akane soon ran as soon as the question left Naneko's mouth. Why do I get the scary mother vibes from Naneko like you'd see in anime?

(Naneko): "Rin dear, would you be so kind to tell me what happened?"

I tried running to avoid Naneko's weird mood but it was too late, she had my right arm trapped with her grip. I could've brute force my way out of it but I felt like that would make the situation worse.

Fuck's sake Akane! You left me with this demon!

(Naneko): "I'm not the only Demon here."

And great, she can read my mind now. What the hell is with her crazy intuition?!?

(Rin): "Naneko dear, the plants will start withering if you condense that much pressure at once."

I ask with a wry smile to pacify the angry Neko. I could swear I could hear the grass screaming from the Aura Naneko is releasing. She's not gonna get possessed again, is she?

(Naneko): "Answer the question and don't call me dear again."

Naneko suddenly increased her grip as she opened her eyes a little to give me a sharp glare. Well, fuck then.

(Rin): "Well we…"

I spilt the beans. Akane already ran away, probably to the kids whilst I had to tell Naneko what we did. It's not like I'm ashamed of what I did to Envy, I'd do it again after all, but I'm more worried about what the others would think of me. I don't want to let them see my twisted mind after all.

(Naneko): "Haah, you two are such a handful."

Naneko says that as she finally let's go of my arm. Surprisingly there were no marks left behind considering how strong her grip strength was but I guess that means she wasn't that angry?

Not to self, having torture happen in front of Naneko is a no go.

(Rin): "Hahaha, sorry?"

I could only scratch my head awkwardly as I waited for Naneko to stop massaging her temples.

(Naneko): "Haah, I feel like I'm starting to understand what a real mother is like."

Naneko says with a sigh as I start feeling bad for her. She does make a point, she helps out with looking after the kids and has to deal with me and Akane doing whatever weird things we do.

I should make up for that. She deserves a treat.

(Rin): "Shall I help mother with a massage? You've been too tensed lately."

I say that with some concern in my voice. I should stop behaving like an idiot and give trouble to others. I guess that's thanks to being liberated from my mother huh. I should be careful that I don't take things too far next time.

(Naneko): "I have been. Sounds good, but please try toning it down with the torture. You never know when that will develop into something sick after all."

Naneko says that as she puts her hands on my shoulders with her face really close to me this time. Her eyes didn't waiver once when she said those words, showing me how serious she's being. I should learn a thing or two from her.

(Rin): "I'll try my best. Shall we start?"

I said with a wink as Naneko's face immediately became red from noticing the close distance between us. I can see her concerns. She's able to see negative emotions and can smell them, she must know what would happen to one's mentality if they're exposed to it too often.

(Naneko): "Yes please."

After getting Naneko approval I got out another bed from the dorm as I had her sit on it so that I could begin massaging her shoulders. I sat behind her and crossed my legs before I began. As soon as I touched her collar and back, I felt her entire back stiff as a rock. Damn, she's been stressed lately, this should help her out a bit.

(Naneko): "Mmpg~ Damn, you're really good at this."

(Rin): "I am? Thanks."

Naneko immediately moaned as I began the procedure. I've never had a compliment for massaging someone so it felt a little weird. My bitch of a mother used to come back home with a lot of stress but I wasn't caring enough to ask what happened. Plus if I did, she's probably just hit me

(Naneko): "If you don't get a job in the future I'd hire you as my personal chef and masseuse."

Naneko says that as both her tails start moving around from the massage. Huh, for some reason they're wrapping around me now.

(Rin): "Thanks for the compliment."

I ignored her tails acting weird as I continued dealing with her shoulder and neck this time. Hmm, I wonder if I mix my flames with the massage, would that make her feel better? I could probably find the places she's feeling the most tension from with this.

Let's try it. Though, she might have a reaction like when I first cleaned her in the flames. Meh, let's try it.

(Rin): "I'm gonna try something/"

(Naneko): "Huh? Nyahh~~"

Okay, that was a reaction I wasn't expecting. I was expecting her to have a flushed expression and moan louder, but not make a 'Nya' noise! I had to stop to process the sound.

(Naneko): "Hey, d-don't stop. Carry on… Please."

Her tails suddenly tightened around me as she told me to continue. What is this situation? I couldn't stop laughing at how stupid this must look like from someone else's perspective.

(Rin): "Whatever the Neko says."

I guess I got her attention with this new skill. I feel like I'm doing something unethical, but meh, I've done worse. I guess the kids will get their wishes if I continue using this skill on the girls.

On second thought, let's not use it on them. It sounds like it'd cause too many headaches. Also, let's keep this skill away from my kids' sight. I think that as I look at the mess of a catgirl in front of me.

(Naneko): "Ha~ Ha~"

She's been making weird moans like this as she uses both her tails to intertwined with mine. It felt weird wrapping out tails together but I didn't have time to worry about that.

(Naneko): "Ahhh~."

Naneko suddenly arched backwards as she collapsed onto my chest while panting heavily, covered in sweat and with a flushed expression. Seeing that expression and her exposed neck really aroused my younger brother, not to mention her back was leaned against my stomach as the smell of her shampoo intensified.

Damn, control yourself, Rin Okumura! I started practising my meditation as I forcefully calmed my mind. Evil thoughts go away!

(Naneko): "I-I'm sorry!

Luckily I was able to stall myself enough time to have Naneko come back to the real world again before she stopped learning on my chest. Damn, that was an experience I'll never forget. Good thing I was sitting crossed legged else that would've been a huge mess.

(Akane): "You enjoying yourself there?"

Akane says as she suddenly gives me a surprise hug attack and makes her tail intertwined with mine and Naneko's. What is this situation? I'm being sandwiched by two girls. It feels good yet awkward as fuck.

(Rin): "I must admit it was fun."

I could only agree whilst giving her a thumbs up as I tried thinking of a way to casually escape from this mess.

(Naneko): "You two…"

Naneko said with a red face as she glared at us. She's been having a turbulence of emotions in the last hour.

(Akane): "My turn~."

Akane suddenly let go of me as she scooted over Naneko so she could have her turn. Naneko grudging moved but gave me a look saying "You better give Akane some payback for me".

(Rin): "Alright."

I tempted the thought before giving Naneko a wink as an agreement for the idea. I've been too kind to Akane recently, let's give her what the doctor ordered.

(Akane): "Oh damn~ Ha~ This is much better than I expected. Mhm~."

I immediately used my flames to find out where her sore spots were and damn, she had it worse than Naneko. Her entire body was stiff, not just her shoulders. Now that I think about it, Akane's the type to get straight into a fight without doing any warmups or stretches.

As a result, her reactions are even louder than Naneko's, but I guess that's because she's not embarrassed to show it off to me or Naneko.

(Rin): "That's because I've been holding back against you."

(Akane): "Mhm~ Yeah, theeeee~re."

Akane started slumping her shoulders as she began leaning over like Naneko as her tail wrapped my body too. What's with these girls? They like getting too physically close.

(Naneko): "Hmm…?"

Naneko suddenly had a thoughtful look on her face as she was looking at Akane's tail. For some reason, she looked like she just noticed something.

(Naneko): "Rin… did you do something to me when you used your flames to clean us up? Yesterday I didn't get a reaction even though I did the last few times."

Naneko suddenly grabbed my shoulders as she said those words, making me massage Akanea little roughly but I'm sure the masochist wouldn't mind it. Ah, so she's figured me out. Time to fly.

(Rin): "Ah, I'm busted. Time to run!"

(Naneko): "Get back here!"

When I felt Akane lose consciousness on my chest, I knew that was the right time to get the fuck away from the Neko releasing the dark Aura.

My gardens are gonna hate me after this huh.

(Rin): "Whoa."

I said as I nearly got hit by a claw from Naneko. Ah shit, she's looking at me like she's gonna kill me. I guess that's what I deserve for using her as a guinea pig and embarrassing her like that in front of my kids.

We continued this chase of mouse and cat as she kept getting closer and closer to hitting me with each attack. This is getting a little ridiculous now.

I took a big jump to avoid her next attack as I picked up some of the red sand and threw it as her eyes before tackling her down. I pinned her arms to the floor as I sat on her stomach to keep her down properly.

(Rin): "Phew, that was a close one."

I sighed to myself as I got a better look at the stimulating sight in front of me.

(Naneko): "You bastard, get off of me."

Naneko had some tears in her eyes from the sand with her expression still flushed as she tried escaping from my grip. I didn't budge a bit as I waited for her to calm down a little, but then someone else joined us in this mess.

(Yanno): "You guys are so noisy in the morning."

Yanno said whilst yawning and scratching his stomach as he looks at us like some kind of weird comedy duo. Oh, looks like we woke him up from the noise.

(Rin): "Haha, sorry about that."

I could only smile wryly when I saw that look on Yanno. Yep, this must look weird from someone else's perspective. Yanno didn't ask me any questions but his eyes did.

(Akane): "How long are you guys gonna stay like that?"

Akane suddenly said behind me, this time without a hug, as she looked at Naneko with a mischievous look. Looks like she finds the situation something to make fun of Naneko with.

(Naneko): "Yeah, get off of me! My tails are hurting from this."

Naneko says as she glares at both me and Akane.

(Rin): "Promise you won't kill me when I get off."

I say that with a small grin as I ask politely. I don't want round two of what just happened after all. Plus I want to do some stuff now that Yanno's finally awake.

(Naneko): "Fine."

Naneko sighed before she finally stopped glaring at me. I let go of her when she looked like she'd given up as get up to walk towards Yanno.

(Akane and Yanno): "You guys are like a bickering couple."

The two looked at each other after being in unison, which caused Shykane to react and hide behind me in fear of Yanno again. Yanno could only laugh awkwardly at the sight as I gave him a wry smile too.

(Rin): "Alright, let's go deal with Envy."

Once peace was back in the group, and I helped Naneko to get some of the sand out of her eyes with my flames, I suggested we should go visit out captive. I wonder what would make him spill the beans? Maybe feeding him some maggots? Have his blood reversed?

(Yanno): "That's his name? Like the representation of a Sin? You beat a Sin?"

Yanno says in surprise as he looks at the distant crystal that has bright lights in it.

(Naneko): "I know right? It was an annoying fight, plus his attitude will make you wanna kill him. Rin took a massive hit against him too"

Naneko says as she gets up from the floor, getting help from Akane before Shykane uses her as a shield from Yanno.

(Yanno): "Damn really? He looked fine when he came to pick me up."

Yanno seemed to have a hard time believing us as he gave me a questioning look. I guess he'll find out soon enough.

(Rin): "Alright, I need to check if my flames are still properly working on that guy. I sorta just left them in autopilot, using the world energy as a replacement for miasma."

(Yanno): "Yeah, this place's energy system is different from one I have in my body. The energy in the real world is really limited."

Yanno says as he questions the energy of this world. I agree, this world's energy is weird. It's similar to the ones in the real world but it's very faint over there. Over here, it's everywhere you could practically taste it.

(Rin): "We'll figure out how these things work out one day."

(Yanno): "Yup, aight, let's get a move on."

(Rin): "Fine by me, this way."

I walked the group towards Envy as the surrounding area seems to have changed a little. I wonder if that's because of the royal rumble we did here or because of Envy's existence?

(Naneko): "I'm starting to hate this part of the world."

Naneko says as she looks at Envy with some hate in her eyes. I wonder what she's seeing right now.

(Rin): "You can see emotions right? What's Envy showing right now?"

I asked in curiosity since I don't know much about Naneko's skill. I wonder if she saw me shaking in my boots when I was fighting against Yanno's bugs?

(Naneko): "It's just a condensed mist of green with some red. He's both jealous and angry directed towards you."

Oh, is he? He's jealous of my abilities but I could say the same to him. Having the ability to steal other demons' abilities sound like something stupidly broken.

(Rin): "Don't worry, I'll protect you if you start losing it again."

(Akane): "Same here."

Akane and I say that as I summon Kurikara and rest it over my shoulder just in case. Akane gets her kodachi's ready herself, but she's still hiding behind her to block Yanno's sight of her.

(Naneko): "Thanks."

Naneko says with a smile as she made a better expression than before. Alright, we should be ready now.

(Yanno): 'Harem~.'

(Rin): 'Shut up man.'

Yanno made a temporary connection with me to say that as I resisted the urge to hit him. For fucks sake man, give me a break already.

(Rin): "Alright, I'll be unsealing his head."

(Naneko): "Round 2 of torture?"

(Rin): "You know me well."

Once we finally got close to Envy, Naneko and I had a little banter before I made the Crystals around his head open up so I can get a better look at his condition and whether or not the flames are working properly or not. It's hard to tell thanks to the crystals blocking them away and the different flames working at one small place.

(Envy): "YOU BASTARDS! RELEASE ME! SATAN'S SPAWN, I'LL TORTURE ALIVE! I'LL RAPE EVERY PERSON YOU KNOW! THOSE TWO NEXT TO YOU, THAT DARK SKIN GIRL SLEEPING OVER THERE! EVERYONE!"

Envy immediately started shouting as he released thick green miasma from this Crystal cocoon. The surrounding ground immediately went from a vibrant red to a disgusting green as everyone nearby started getting affected by his skill.

This bastard still has a tongue to make threats like that… you even brought in my daughter to this….

Luckily I didn't have to do anything to shut him up this time. Though I really would've wanted to.

(Yanno): "Beelzebubs Killer Bees."

I heard the low voice of Yanno behind me as a stronger Miasma got released, overpowering Envy's current output. The ground turned back to normal but the disgusting green turned to a greenish-blue as an annoying buzzing sound could be heard coming from Yanno.

Naneko immediately hid behind me as we watched the nightmare in front of us.

(Envy): "Aaaaaahhhhh!!!"

Bees. A ton of them. They were all smaller than the average bees but as the name suggests, they're much dangerous than the regular bee. And they were all flying towards Envy as they began stinging all over the face, eyes and even in his mouth and the insides of him.

I thought this was a good chance to close him up after I finished checking up on the flames. Trapping the bees inside the Crystals along with Envy.

(Yanno): "I underestimated what you said. Sorry about that."

Yanno says that with an apologetic smile as he retracts the miasma he was releasing.

I'm proud of my boy Yanno. He's slowly understanding why morals are sort of useless now. Oh, by the way, I made sure my flames didn't accidentally kill any of the bees and even heal them if they need any miasma to sustain their form. This should weaken his mental resistance and make him crack

(Rin): "No worries man, at least now we're on the same page."

(Yanno): "Yeah, I sorta lost it when he mentioned rape. Kage is like a niece to me after all."

Yanno and I fist-bumped each other as I had the urge to headlock the guy. Thanks, man.

(Naneko): "And now we got another demon that will torture people."

Naneko said that with a sigh but she didn't seem bothered this time. The look in her eyes made me think that she's gonna join us. Looks like him mentioning Kage made her angry.

(Akane): "You say that as if you aren't angry at him yourself."

Akane says so as her bright red eyes glamour in a dangerous light. I could smell bloodlust from her as it's getting directed towards Envy.

Looks like I'm not the only one pissed. Everyone is. Torturing him this time should be fun.

(Naneko): "I guess I am a little."

(Rin): "I knew you'd understand us."

I said so whilst playfully poking at her cheeks. Looks like it'll take a while for Tsuneko to finally give in and join us.

(Naneko): "Heh, not to yours or Akane's level, but yeah, I guess so."

Naneko pushes my finger off her as she smiles at me. I gave one my own before looking at everyone to tell them what I plan to do with Envy.

(Rin): "We'll take turns getting information out of him but I mainly want to use him as a live test subject for certain skills we could do. Like some risky healing abilities."

(Yanno): "Ah, like Miyamoto-san''s blood skill?"

I said my desires as Yanno immediately knew what skills I wanted to try on him.

(Rin): "Bang on the money, it doesn't hurt to have a few close combat healers after all."

For Yanno I want to see if he can summon any insects that have any special effects like having a truth serum or something.

(Naneko): "Yep, crazies all around me. Maybe I should just accept it to stop the headache?"

(Rin): "Join us~ We got cookies too~."

I said so as soon as I heard Naneko. Damn, if I was Mephisto I would've summoned a few cookies right now.

(Yanno): "Oi, don't lump me up with this lunatic."

Yanno says as he points at me in disapproval. Oi, I'm not that crazy.

(Rin): "Come on man, you can't say that after summoning killer bees at Envy. That'd kill me from fear!"

If I didn't hate Envy with a passion I'd nearly feel bad for him. Just nearly.

(Yanno): "Whatever."

Yanno shakes his head in response as I chuckled at his response. He knows it's true too, you gotta love it.

(Naneko): "Welp, shall we get started with our training, leader?"

Naneko uncharacteristically says as she has a small smile on her face. Looks like she's starting to change too.

(RIn): "Yup. hell's training will resume."

I say that with a grin as I crack my knuckles at the three demons in front of me. They all had their own grins, even Naneko who was against training at the beginning is starting to get used to it.

The next few days spent in the pocket dimension were relatively peaceful minus hearing Envy's screams whenever we did experiments on him. I made sure the kids weren't around for those moments since they're not strong enough, nor do they have any abilities to test out on Envy

We all had spars where Yanno would fight against them with his army of bugs, which caused him to beat everyone mercilessly. Only Akane was the exception as she dived headfirst to all the bugs and cut them up to pieces, even using their green blood to make flying weapons. It was a weird and fun sight to see, to be honest. It crushed Yanno's pride too, which caused him to train better.

Unfortunately, I still have no clue if we're anywhere near being strong enough for the doomsday. But before that, another big day has to happen….

(Kirihime): "Good afternoon Rin."
