27 GUIDING TIME

"NOONA, I'm ready when you're ready!"

Wonhee looked over her shoulder and saw Ahyeon holding his smartphone that was prepared to take a video of her. "Okay, Ahyeonnie. I'll give you the sign…"

She trailed off when a cold breeze suddenly went past her.

Ahyeon, on the other hand, gasped as his eyes widened a bit.

Oh.

[He's here.]

"Omnivore-ssi, why are you wearing light clothes?"

Wonhee gave Ahyeon the "okay sign" before she faced Hwang Yejun.

When did he get the chance to change his clothes?

The X-Class also looked more refreshing than the last time she saw him.

[So, he wasn't just standing here for the past few days.]

"I'm dressed appropriately," Wonhee said, looking down at the long white puffer jacket she was wearing. She even had a scarf around her neck and a pair of fluffy earmuffs. Even her boots were warm and fuzzy. "You're the one who's dressed lightly."

The entire area was freezing and Yejun only wore a black turtleneck long-sleeved shirt, dark trousers, and a pair of combat shoes.

[If he was an ordinary person, he would have frozen to death already.]

"Hmm. You still don't look warm enough, Omnivore-ssi," Yejun said while looking at her from head to toe. Then he tilted his head to one side while looking at her face. "Oh. I know what you're missing."

"What else am I missing when I already look like a ball of fluff?"

"My arms around your body?"

"Excuse me?"

Yejun grinned and opened his arms wide. "Come here, Chu Wonhee. My body temperature is warmer than an average person even though my main power is ice. I can keep you warm better than your puffer jacket."

God.

If Hwang Yejun wasn't a Hunter on the verge of breaking down because of lack of literal Guidance, then Wonhee would have pressed charges against him for sexual harassment.

But she was a Guide and he was a Hunter.

Of course, a Hunter could still sexually harass a Guide and a Guide could still file a lawsuit if they felt they were violated.

However, in this context, Wonhee knew that Yejun was only desperate for her Guiding.

[After all, I'm the only Guide who succeeded in returning a bit of his sanity.]

"I'm sorry, I was late," Wonhee said, walking towards Yejun's waiting arms. Then she stood in front of him and pressed her forehead against his chest. "I just woke up from a long sleep."

"Can I really wrap my arms around you?"

Wonhee looked up and knitted her eyebrows while looking at Yejun whose arms were still wide open. "You were the one who asked for a hug, Yejun-ssi."

"Well, I was just teasing you so I didn't expect you to agree."

"I haven't officially been registered as a Guide yet, but I understand that I have a duty towards you," she explained. "Hugging is just a normal method when it comes to Guiding. Or do you want to start with holding hands first?"

She was actually planning to ask Hwang Yejun to hold hands first.

And that was why she didn't wear gloves.

"Yes, let's hold hands first," Yejun said, offering his hands to her. "I'm too shy to hug you when this is the first time we've seen each other in days."

Wonhee held Yejun's hands and found out that he wasn't lying when he said his body temperature was warmer than an average person's body warmth. "I don't want to hear that from the person who jumped me the first time we met."

"I'm sorry for my animalistic behavior back then, Omnivore-ssi. In my defense, I was half-crazy that time."

"And you're no longer half-crazy?"

"Your touch is literally healing," Yejun said, placing Wonhee's slightly cold hands against his warm cheeks. "Omnivore-ssi, what does your Status Window say right now?"

As if on cue, her Status Window suddenly popped up.

Wonhee raised her head and read the message.

"Oh. I got a mission," Wonhee said, pleasantly surprised. Then she turned to Hwang Yejun. "It says you need to sleep for forty-eight hours, Yejun-ssi."

"No wonder I'm starting to feel sleepy," Yejun said, his orange eyes starting to look drowsy. "Where should we sleep, Wonhee-ya?"

She didn't know what surprised her more.

The fact that Hwang Yejun finally addressed her informally, or the fact that his eyes had turned from red to orange?

"Ah, you should ask your Hunter friend to get out of here fast."

"Ahyeonnie?" Wonhee asked worriedly. "Why?"

"Once my ice melted, it will create a flash flood, since the snowstorm will also turn into a downpour before it completely stops."

Aigoo.

This was why a Hunter in their berserk mode was very dangerous!

"Let's go to my penthouse," Wonhee said in a hurry. "I brought my car."

"Nah, let's just teleport."

"You can teleport? I thought only my brother could do that in the entire country!"

Yejun grinned, and then he gently squeezed her hands. "I got a new skill just now."

Wonhee's eyes widened a bit. "Really?"

WONHEE covered her mouth when she suddenly felt like she was about to throw up.

In just the blink of an eye, she went from standing in front of the frozen APA Headquarters to sitting on her bed.

Yes, her bed.

In her bedroom.

In her penthouse.

"Goosebumps!" Wonhee said while rubbing her arms. "We really teleported!"

She then turned to Hwang Yejun who was next to her.

The X-Class Hunter was lying down on his stomach, still holding her hand.

"Yejun-ssi, how did you know where I live?"

"I don't," Yejun said sleepily, then he closed his eyes. "But the System does."

"Huh?"

"Wonhee-ya, do your older siblings love you because you're their family or…"

"Or what?"

Yejun opened his sleepy eyes. "Or do they love you because of the benefits they get from taking care of you?"

Hmm?

"I don't understand," Wonhee said, knitting her eyebrows. "What do you mean by that, Yejun-ssi?"

Unfortunately, Yejun had already fallen asleep by then.

While Wonhee was in the safety of her penthouse, the entirety of Seoul was almost swept away by the flash flood caused by the sleeping X-Class Hunter on her bed.
