Shouko shook her head and wrote in her notebook.
( No, I can't. )
"Eh? Then how? You said good morning rather normally though!"
Shouko replied. ( I actually practiced saying good morning yesterday till 12 PM. I'm glad that I succeeded in saying it to you! )
She looked at Hito with a smile on her face. Knowing that she practiced all night just to say good morning to him, he could barely control himself from saying 'I love you!' to her. To confess his true feelings to this cute and beautiful goddess.
But Hito forced himself not to, not until she achieved her goal of having 100 friends! This time he would find someone who wanted to truly be Shouko's friend and not like Yamai who would have ulterior motives and get between his and Shouko's love!
He couldn't wait anymore, he was going to do this now!
Hito stood up from his seat, which startled Shouko a bit so she asked.
( Where are you going? )
"To get you more friends! I'll fulfill your dream Shouko!"
Shouko was dumbfounded at his declaration. And blushed heavily. Her heart pounded while thinking about what Hito was going to do for her. He was gonna grant her, long time wish. Her eyes turned even more gentle when she looked at Hito. Her love for Hito was increasing more and more as the days went by.
At this rate she won't be able to control these feelings anymore and it'll burst out from her. She didn't know what she should do. She couldn't even talk to Hito about it or even confess to him because of her disorder. All she could do was blush silently and look at the boy she loved so much, and try to convey her feelings through those gentle eyes of hers.
Hito went towards a pair of girls. They noticed Hito's arrival, and they asked.
"Tadano-kun? What do you need?"
"Yeah! Do you need something, Tadano-san?"
Hito smiled at them, and spoke. "Yes I need something from you girls."
Seeing him smile, the girls blushed. They asked him what it was that he needed from them. Then he explained Shouko's situation and told them that Shouko wanted to be their friends.
He didn't even need to convince them, since they were already very eager to be Shouko's friends! The only thing that was holding them back from being friends with Shouko was their misconception that Shouko was an unapproachable existence.
But after listening to Hito's explanation, they didn't hesitate any longer and went towards Shouko's table.
Hito looked at the girls that were going towards Shouko's table, he mumbled. "So that's 2 down..."
He continued and went towards Ase, she was someone that even an extreme introvert with a disorder like Shouko could easily get along with.
"Tadano-san?" Ase was a little surprised to see that Hito approached her. Honestly she was also a bit nervous.
She wasn't particularly good looking, at least that's what she thought of herself. But in reality she was really cute.
Hito explained his purpose to her, and Ase started to understand why he approached her. She smiled at Hito. "Alright, I understand Tadano-san! I'll befriend Komi-san now!"
Ase stood up from her table and also went towards Shouko's table.
That was another 1 down. Hito continued to ask everyone in the class to be Shouko's friends. All of them were good people, it's just that they were a bit more energetic than most.
Now only a handful of classmates were left for Hito to ask them to be Shouko's friends.
Hito's next target was Omoharu Nakanaka! The Chuunibyou of their class!
He went towards Omoharu and spoke.
"Hello, there Nakanaka-chan!"
Omoharu got startled and immediately blurted. "What thee you need from thy, mortal?!"
Omoharu thought 'Oh no… I'm going to be hated again!' she actually didn't mean to say any of those words, it's just that her habit as a Chuunibyou had become too instinctive. So, she couldn't normally talk with people she wasn't comfortable with and blurted out Chuunibyou lines in a fit of nervousness.
She was like Shouko, she had zero friends not because she had a communication disorder but because she didn't know how to start a conversation!
Omoharu was an Otaku and everyone knew about it, and it wasn't the main reason why she didn't have even a single friend. It was mainly because of her Chuunibyou disease.
She was expecting Hito to be weirded out, but too bad for her, he was already aware of her problem and her weird way of talking.
Hito scratched his head and took a deep breath.
'Anything for Shouko!' He replied.
"Mortal?! Have thee gone wrong in the eyes! Evil eye! Can't thou witness thy am the Demon King of Destruction?!" Hito said while covering his left eye, and doing a weird Chuuni pose.
Omoharu was dumbfounded at Hito's actions, but then as if she understood him she spoke. "The Demon King?! Fufufu~ I the Evil Eye have sealed 99% of thy power! Thy shall let thou witness why thyself titled as the Evil Eye!"
Omoharu took off her eye patch that was blocking her right eye. Seeing her right eye Hito was slightly surprised that it was a different color from her left eye. Her right eye was golden, she had Heterochromatic pupils.
But it didn't stop him from acting as a Chuuni Demon King, after a few moments of weird poses and gibberish talking, the two started to laugh.
"Hahaha! Nice to meet you Comrade!"
"You too." Hito smiled at her.
Omoharu was extremely happy to know that someone could understand her! She felt like she was on cloud 9!
Hito suddenly took a good look at Omoharu and honestly said.
"You know, after taking a close look, you're really cute, aren't you?"
"C-c-cute?! N-no! I, the Evil Eye am not cute! Thy am very fierce!" Omoharu covered her right eye with a weird Chuuni pose again, but it was visible from her face that she was blushing!
Hito nodded, and spoke. "Yep you're cute and that's exactly what you're doing right now, being cuter!"
Omoharu had no words to say, she had no idea how she was feeling right now, after all this was the first time someone called her cute! She only knew that her heart was beating so fast she had some trouble breathing.
While she was recovering, Hito finally started to explain to her that Shouko wanted a friend and also did some minor talks about her condition.
Omoharu understood Hito's explanation, and she was eager to be Shouko's friend too, she might be a Chuunibyou but it didn't change the fact that she was a girl, she also needed friends.
She already considered Hito as her friend, so she would love to have more than one, so she decided to go towards Shouko's table, she looked towards Hito and said.
"Comrade! Wait for my good news I shall win this war!"
Hito smiled wryly at her and sighed. "Well that's another one, let's go to the next one!"

Before the class started, Hito successfully made everyone become Shouko's friends, well not really everyone, since everyone except for Agari Himiko became friends with her.
Himiko, instead of being Shouko's friend, she claimed herself as Shouko's dog!
Which was totally unexpected, now that everyone in class was her friend. Shouko had a total of 50 friends including Yui and Yukino.
Speaking of them, he remembered about the club. He might be a little late for the club's job later today.
Because he had to join the basketball match after class. Hito wanted to know if Kise Ryota could copy his moves which was unlikely to happen anyway.
The bell rang and the class started.
The teacher arrived along with a girl that had a weird makeup on her face!
The teacher spoke. "Okay class! Listen to me we have a new student that is going to join us today!"
Hito looked at the girl who had a weird makeup on her face and had dark bronze colored skin.
It was Manbagi Rumiko!
