I'm Here

Alex didn't expect to see Grant in their house and on top of that he was trying to touch his sister. Seeing all of that awakened his demon in him. For a long time Alex wanted to kill Grant, four years ago he tried to track him down but failed. If not because of Bia and his parents who begged him and made him promise not to kill Grant, he could have had him kill by now. His parents said that couldn't see him go to jail for a jerk like Grant. But now is perfect time to give him a lesson, as long as he didn't kill him, Alex was sure everything would be fine. Alex punched and kicked Grant so hard but Grant just took everything without striking back. When Alex felt a cold hand pulled his arm, he turned and saw Bia was as white as paper sheet. He quickly touched her cheeks, her forehead and felt his own forehead. She was cold and droplets of sweats formed on her forehead. Then he bended down, carried Bia and rushed to the hospital. Grant was following behind them and he was shocked to see Bia's condition, he also cursed himself for causing it.

When they reached hospital, Alex carried her straight to emergency department, then he dialled Akira's number to let him know what happened. Akira was sleeping when he got the call, the call made him jumped up and rushed to the hospital as soon as possible, all the his sleepiness was gone. Akira was one of the doctor who helped Bia four years ago, he was also the one who brought back Bia's smile.

"What happened Alex?. She was fine when I left her this morning", Akira went to the sink to clean his hand. Akira saw that Alex was putting the IV drip for Bia.

"That bastard outside made her like this, she was shaking violently just now and that brought me back to four years ago. She's sleeping now. Is he still outside?".

"I think so, I saw a man full of cuts and bruises outside. Was that your workmanship, Is he the famous Grant Davis?"

"Ya, that son of....", Alex felt so frustrated, angry, he thought he should have beat him up a few months ago when he heard that Grant came back, he shouldn't beat him up in front of Bia. He should have done it in the back alley, he regretted it.

"Alex, I'll stay here till my shift starts. I'm on duty tonight, I'll come and check on Bia whenever I have time. Today is your off day, isn't it?".

"No, I'll stay and I know you'll be busy the whole night and please don't let my parents know that Bia is here. Let them enjoy their holiday, they'll freak out if they find out what happened".

"I won't, don't worry. She has us".

Outside the room Grant was worry and no one answered his questions. The nurses told him not to enter the room and only family could enter.

Earlier, Alex brought her to the emergency room then they've moved her to the VIP room. He only hoped that they allowed him to see her or just let him know her condition and all of this was his fault. By 10pm, a nurse came to him and told him that he was not allowed to stay in VIP floor after 10pm if he's not a family member. There's no choice for Grant, he just dragged himself out of that place.

The street was busy and crowded, it's a beautiful night full of stars in the sky. He could see the street vendors with all kind of foods, Bia loves food more than anything, thinking of that made him smile. Grant just drove aimlessly, he didn't realise that he stopped in front of his old house. The house is beside Bia's house. His wonderful time was in this house, when Bia was his.

Bia was scared of dark, so when her parents and Alex were busy, he would accompany her until her parents were back.

One night, it was raining heavily. Grant was on the way home from his part time job, he couldn't wait for the rain to stop because he knew that Bia was alone at home.

He rode his bicycle so fast, he couldn't wait to reach home. He was sure that Bia hid herself inside the cupboard or under the bed. She was scared of thunder, and that night, the thunder was so loud. Once he reached Bia's house, he just threw his bicycle and took their keys that hidden under the flower pot. He opened the door and started calling her.

"Bia, It's me Grant, where are you, answer me Bia please.... okay, okay, I'll go and look for you, don't move, okay". Before he walked up, he stopped and turned to his right, there he saw Bia was hiding under the dining table.

She covered herself with the tablecloth, closed her eyes and cover her ear with her hands. Grant walked to the table and crawled in. He touch her fingers lightly and called her softly.

"Bia, my little Bia.."

Bia was so happy to see him, he came to rescue her again and again and again. Her tears started falling again, looked like that she's been crying for a long time.

" There, there, don't be scared, I'm here Bia, I'm here.."
