1 1. Moving

                              ( Dash's POV )

          I closed my eyes to pass the traveling time peacefully by falling asleep which didn't help inspite of wearing sleeping mask. Whenever the thought of laestrygonians comes into my mind it gives nothing but a hectic headache. I felt my heart beating as fast as it could trying to jump out of my chest and alternating shiver went through my spine periodically. I felt my whole body shaking with fear and my eyeballs were oscillating arround my eye socket.

          I took off my mask and dropped it in nearby bag and glanced over left, out of window where suna started to rise from horizon in east. I searched for another star labo but I couldn't find it which was already risen four hours ago in north. I recalled Miss. Reyna explaining about our past home planet which was called as Earth-1. Unlike Borra Earth-1 had only one star which was called as Sun but both have one moon and here it's called as Kolio.

          This all happened eighty years ago back in Earth-1 where a deadly world war 3 happened between some countries for some serious disputes which became a great thread to both nature and human kind, thanks to nuclear weapons and other stuffs. When scientists predicted that the war would surely destroy the complete planet they planned to escape from it as quick as possible. Thanks to the invention of teleportation technology using which most of them came to Borra unaware of the fact that it's already dwelled by Laestrygonians.

          Laestrygonians also called as giants are more like humans except they are forty times bigger than us. Luckily when we arrived here they accepted us for which in return we shared our technology to them. But some of them still think humans as annoying pest and some of us including me think them as terrifying monsters. So to bring peace among the two species the planet was divided into giant and human sectors which was separated by colossal walls. But later some humans started to move to giant sector for some reasons and today our family which includes me, mom and little brother Marky were heading to giant sector.

          After putting the thoughts about history away I saw my mom who's chatting with a fat woman in elatement. Somehow she developed a love with a Laestrygonian named David who's gonna be my stepdad that seemed to be a nightmare. To add special effects he had two sons who's gonna be my huge stepbrothers that made butterflies fly in my stomach. " Where I'll sleep? How I gonna eat the food which will be bigger than me? Where I'll bath and do other things? How I'll play video games? ", I asked as many questions possible to myself. The relationship that developed between mom and David felt like a mystery which I craved to solve.

          While I was shivering in fear Marky tapped my shoulder to get my attention. When I saw him I can't find any fear in his face which told clearly he have no idea about them. Being 12 years years old I expected him to die in terror if he learns how cruel they could be. " Dash can you tell me something about lasty... um giants we're gonna meet ", he asked who started to develop some curiosity about them. I planned to use this opportunity to drag him to my side and also it would be entertaining to terrorize him which I wanted to use to its fullest as its gonna be the last amusement that I'm gonna have in my lifetime.

          " They're Laestrygonians who would be looking like skyscrapers but luckily they can shrink to our sizes too. You're excited about them I think" I asked. " Yes, I've heard that they would carry us wherever we want so we don't need to use our legs often which is cool ". He face started to morph like mom's one which I disliked. " I think you heard wrong, they won't carry us wherever we like but wherever they wanted or they can just lock us in cage if they don't like so ". I saw terror seizing him slowly which I wanted so I continued. " According to them we're just pets like rats and parrots, so we would be treated like them. Also there are many human haters among giants who would kidnap us at the sight and torture us ".

          " The school we gonna attend there is a combination of both humans and giants along with our stepbrothers. The giant students may step on us if they didn't notice us, some may pick and trap us in lockers or in their bags. Thinking of giant bullies, our chapter ends there if they catch us. Um... three years back one of my friend who like our mom was so excited to live with giants but after going there he was crushed to death by them within a month ", I croaked. The sight of his family members in tears and his body which were wrapped in white shroud at his funeral didn't go away from my eyes still. That incident became the turning point due to which I started to hate and feared more about giants.

          " WHAT! If that really gonna happen to us, then why mom's love with David and wanted to marry him" he asked. " Well I think she somehow got a false impression about them and now she's leading us to a de- " " false impression! ", a familiar voice interrupted which I realised belongs to mom. " Yes false impression but you're the one who got it not me my dear " she snapped. I didn't notice her Eavesdropping our conversation, anyway now no one can rescue us from her advice. " Dash whatever happened to your friend was an accident. Accident can occur anywhere, for that we shouldn't blame anyone ". " But how can we live with David and his sons and how I can trust them. " I questioned.

          " See I know very well about David he's so gentle and he won't even hurt flies. He promised me that he would always try to be a best father just like John ". Suddenly her smile and my fear faded which turned into nostalgic when she uttered the father's name who died in an accident two years ago. Later six months ago she met David  during her trip to giant sector for some buisness issues and fell love with him. Anyway she continued, " also his elder son loves human so much who waits at airport along with David to meet both of you. He kept on pounding upon David to know more about you guys. So put your negative thoughts away and stop frightening him Dash", she gasped after giving a long speech and gave a vague smile.

          I tried to debate her but I know she would win in that obviously so I kept my mouth shut and continued shivering. Then I called a stewardess and I ordered some Strawberry Frozen Yogurt Bars for me and Marky which I hoped would divert me from the thoughts about my stepbrothers but it didn't help. Normally I would dominate and make fun of Marky whenever possible since he's just my shoulder level but now I'm afraid how would their level of dominance be if we were just their finger level. " All is well. All is well " I muttered to calm myself while the plane flew over the colossal wall.
