1 Pandora's box

It's been 30 years, since the dungeons appeared in our world. We never bothered with it at the start. We thought it was some kind of natures calamity, But after few days beasts appeared. This beasts slaughtered human's.

slaughtering continued for many years but then a change appeared in humans and in human history. Humans were able to wield abilities, ability users were known as hunters who hunts down the beasts.

Not everyone were able to wield to abilities, and they were known as non awakened.

"I am Jim, I am a non awakened from a biggest ability user families in this world, and I got banished from my family because I am unable to wield any ability."

A guy was walking in the street with teary eyes, he said "I have no were else to go" he said while looking at the dark sky.

"who cares if they kick me out from the house, now I gonna create my own empire" he looks determined of what he is going to.

"f*ck I am starving, first I need to find a shelter" he said out loud.

He started walking towards a motel but later he realized that his family froze his bank account.

Then he started walking towards a dense forest, he was a bit afraid because there bight be wild beast lurking inside the forest.

After walking for a while he found a big cave inside the forest. He formed a small fire pit.

"Damn its so boring in this forest, lets explore this cave a bit" he said out loud, he got up and started exploring the cave with a torch in his hands.

"go deep inside the cave, who wrote this shit?" it was written inside the cave, he thought it was an unexplored cave.

"lets see!!" he said, and walked deep into the cave.

Deep inside the cave he saw a big chest, it was covered with dry blood all over it, he was a bit afraid, he thought it was some kind of trap to catch thefs. He carefully opened the box. There was a book and a test tube filled with some kind of liquid in it.

He opened the book.

I am Dr. Samuel, this is my journal about creating a ability.

I don't know when but in the future world is going to change, some kind of dungeons will appear filled with beats which will hunt down humans.

Later humans will gain abilities according to their plan.

I created a ability on my own.

Drink the liquid which inside the test tube to gain the ability I have created, I hope you will use this ability for humans sake and save them."

He completed reading the novel. At first he thought it was fake. Without giving it a second thought he drank all the liquid inside the test tube.

A dark red fog surrounded him, and it went into him.

"argh" Jim shouted because of pain. His body turned into liquid form and after a few minutes it formed back into normal shape. He was unconsious .

"i had a good sleep after a long time" Jim said out loud. Soon as he woke up some kind of screen appeared in front of him.

"what the fuck is this! I thought I will gain a ability as I drank the liquid but I need to choose one?" Jim thought and opened the ability list.

He thought about it for a while and choose, I choose "darkness manipulation"

Suddenly a screen popped up

"wtf! quest was going on I don't even know it." Jim thought about it.

"so, I gained a ability now, I can be a hunter now." Jim thought, he was very happy about it, and he was thankful about the ability he gained.

"i need to get going now, if I am late I cant evaluate my rank" Jim said out and he started walking towards the evaluation center.

After walking for a while he reached the evaluation center. It was filled with both awakned and testing candidates.

"i want to evaluate my rank" Said to receptionist. She was staring at him with bright eyes. She acted as if she didn't hear any thing. "yo! Lady wake up stop daydreaming. I want to evaluate my rank" he said again with a sharp tone. "eh! Sorry sir, your name please" she asked with a sweet tone. Jim said his full name to her. After searching about him in the hunter data base for a while she said with a low voice "you are from the vosco family? " she asked. "no no! I don't belong to the vosco family" he said.

"okay! Wait in the queue, your number is 13" she said with a smile. She was staring at him as if she was about to eat him. Now only her but everyone the room started staring at him as he was moving in his queue.

"what's wrong with all this people, why are they staring?" Jim thought.

Soon a guy came out from the evaluation room wile crying and said "I can pay my family debt now!"

everyone in front of him looks stressed and they were all forming a tense situation

"i guess I need to distribute my stat points" he thought and raised his stat points.

"Jim vosco its your turn now" the lady receptionist said with a bright smile. Jim didn't bothered about it and just entered the evaluation room.

"sir, place your hands on the stone and emmit some mana into it" said one the evaluator.

Jim did as he said. Emmitted some mana into it.

But the machine didn't respond, the evaluator said "lets try this again, if it didn't work we need to use the unique grade machine"

They did the second time but the machine didn't respond. The evaluator was looking at him with a smug look and said with a grin "come with me lets try unique grade machine"
