53 Surprise and relief

POV

Charlotte:

It had been two days since I texted Nym; there still wasn't a response from her. Did I say something wrong? Fear continued to spike through me. No stop it, you are going to duke yourself out. Calm Down! Breathe. Inhale then exhale. Repeat.

"Bzzt Bzzt!" My phone flickered on quickly. I could feel my heart quicken and rise to my throat. Could it be her? Please be her! I turned my phone over to... I shut my eyes and gulp. When I finally got the courage to look I saw that it really was from her. "Squeak!" I flopped down onto my bed.

"Hello Charlotte, thank you for being so understanding and supportive of my job and it went really well. It has definitely been a while. I am sorry please don't think I've been ignoring you; it has just been very hectic."

I can't believe it! She actually responded! Calm down, think of something. THINK,THINK ,THINK! Why can I never sound eloquent- sigh. Just be happy and nice you got this.

"I am so glad that it went well for you!"-C

"And I know that you haven't been ignoring me."-C

" Oh thank goodness I would hate to lose a good friend."-N

Oh my goodness I am her friend! [Inner panic]

How the heck is she so sweet! Okay, now I should ask about her schedule.

"So now that you're back do you have any plans?"-C

"Well I have a Galla to go to in eight days, but otherwise I'm relatively free. I am on a break from work for a while. Just some paperwork to finish up."-N

"Cool! Would you maybe like to hang out next weekend?"-C

" I would like to, but I have to watch over my brother. He just got back from a school in Italy." -N

"Oh wow I didn't know that you had a brother, and studying in Italy! Wow!"-C

"So what about your parents?"-C

"They are both dead."-N

"Oh I am so sorry! I didn't know."-C

Now I feel like a jerk for asking. Well done Charlotte, well done. She hasn't responded and it's been around seven minutes. Worriedly, I quickly type something else out.

"Also I don't mind hanging out with the both of you!"-C

"I am sure that you are a great big sister!"-C

"I'm not sure if he's up for that yet, but I'll ask him when he wakes up."-N

"Heads up if you do meet him he is pretty much mute, but he is an extremely sweet boy. I may not be the best sister; I am the only one that he has and I'll always protect him."-N

"I have to go but I'll text you later. I really hope that we can hang out soon though."-N

I really don't know a lot about Nym, do I? I cannot believe that she has a little brother! She never talked about him, but I guess I've never really asked about her home life. Man, she would be a really good mom too. A blush creeps up my face. After all, she is so caring and attentive. Plus she is beautiful and extremely intelligent.

Wait did she say she had a Galla to go to? I wonder what she's going to wear. Probably a dress but she would look sexy in a pant suit too. Her slender and strong legs with that beautiful figure. The blush continued to slowly go down her neck. Man, now I really want to see her all dressed up! I'm kinda jealous about the Galla now-sigh.

"Ring Ring!" Dang it who is this now. Ruined a perfectly good.... dang. "Hello, this is Charlotte." I fiddled my fingers on the blanket. The lady on the other said spoke in a mellow and soft voice. "We are glad to inform you that you've been chosen out of all of the applicants to work at out florist shop. Welcome to the Ivory Jasmine family Charlotte!" I've just been hired? Today really is a good day! She and I continued to talk about more work related things like scheduling and what to expect.

After around thirty minutes or so I decided to go out. I went back to the coffee shop to celebrate with a mocha frappuccino and banana bread. "Welcome to Caffeine Haven!" A nice woman who's name is Crisy greeted me. She motioned to the girl standing behind her. After a moment the guy from earlier came out the door. What was his name? Daxton? No Draco? Heck I cannot remember. Maybe I'll just peek at his name tag? Freaking hazelnuts he isn't wearing his name tag!

"Can I help you miss?" He said with that same warm smile. "Oh uhmm I'll have a tall mocha frappuccino hot and a banana bread please." I managed to squeak out full of embarrassment. He chuckled under his breath. "Can I get a name for your order?"

"Charlotte." I sighed out in relief. I went to go and sit down at a table and waited.

3rd POV

"So that's the girl he likes Chrisy?" Sam asked. "Sure is, I've never seen him so excited to work before. Like he is usually just nice enough, but he isn't really into it. However, when she is here he actually smiles earnestly." Chrisy replied.

"Whatever it's kinda freaky!" Sam retorted.

'You have no idea how freaky I am Sam.... and you'll never find out." Dakota smirked and went to go and make the drink.
