Chapter 1Prologue

What happens when the love of your life just decides to pack up and leave. Without an explanation and reason. Uttering the one sentence you'd never dream your soulmate could utter.

'We're done.'

It took one sentence, two words and eight letters to bring Bianca Halsalls' life drowning in a sea filled with darkness of no survival.

Years later. That same love returns, but this time with a new woman in hand. And she just happens to be the last person you'd expect.

....

My jaw dropped as he walked to me. All bitten up with bruises coating his skin like fresh cream. He jumped down the ring, waving at the crowd that still cheered him on.

"Tesoro." He called me with his favourite Italian nickname that he gave me. "Alessandro? You're smiling, God are you okay?" I inspected his injuries as he got closer. [ translation: sweetheart]

Alessandro pulled me in his arms, my nose wrinkling up when his biceps squeezed the air out of me. "I won, baby. For you." He states, leaving a kiss on my cheeks.

Huffing, I unwillingly push him away. "Don't be stupid, Asshole. You never loose." A cheeky smile laid upon my cheeks, Alessandro matching it. "Of course, tesoro, only because of you."

I sighed, gazing up into his intimidating, eyes, the playfulness held in there made me feel giddy. "Okay, can we go now?"

Alessandro tilted his head on the side, grabbing me and locking me to him. His bandaged hands landing on my hips. "If you want, baby. I'd really need your care tonight." He threw me a wink as my eyes went wide.

"Shut up." I pocked my tongue at him. "With the knockout you landed today, maybe I'll just have to reward you for it." Teasingly, I said, but Alessandro took that truthfully as his eyes turned darker. "Really, baby?" I giggled, shaking my head as we made our way to his locker room.

"Sure, sir." I winked, bitting down on my lips. Alessandro held the door for me, I could practically hear his mouth watering. He took in deep intake of unsteady breaths, licking his lips as I went in. "Damn, baby." He smacked my ass as we both got in then he shut the door behind him. I squealed. "Sei uno schianto, tesoro." [ translation: You're one knockout, Sweetheart.]

I shook my head and tried to stop that bugging feeling in me wanting to know what he just said.

A week later

"Aless?" I called, softly shutting the door behind me. A smile took over my face, dropping the keys on the bowl. "Aless, baby, I'm home?"

Walking in our apartment. I sighed, groaning when my feet started aching. I made my way to the couch and sat down, immediately taking off the sneakers.

A sigh reached out my mouth and I smiled in relief. "I got good news!" I said, massaging my feet. "Remember what we talked about, baby? About me getting a job?"

Footsteps approaching me from behind. I smiled in joy, my smile widening as I turned to grin at Alessandro. Who stood up the staircase, hands tucked in his pockets. Seemed calm and face blank. "Hey baby?" I said.

I walked to him. The need to hug him and pull him to me. Alessandro stood there and watched me jog up the stairs to him. I frowned when he made no move to come to me.

Alessandro is the affectionate one in this relationship. The touchy one, always making an excuse to touch me.

Alessandro stiffened when I wrapped my arms around his neck. "Are you okay, baby?" He said nothing. His brows furrowed and he refused to meet my eyes.

"What's wrong? Why aren't you hugging me-"

"Don't touch me, Bianca."

Bianca? Since when did he call me that?

I only tightened my hold on him, shoving my face in his neck. "Did I do something wrong? Are you mad at me-"

"Did you not fucking hear me!?" He snapped, grabbing on my wrist. I screamed in fright as he slammed me on the floor behind him.

My eyes went wide and jaw dropped. What the fuck just happened. Did he... Did Alessandro just...

"Why can't you ever fucking do what's told!"

"Wha...?" I shook my head in disbelieve. "Alessandro what's happening?"

Alessandro grabbed his forehead and squeezed his eyes shut. His whole body started shivering and it seemed he was coming up with some sickness with the way he kept on shaking.

His shoulders where tense and stiff. "Shit, I can't do this." He whispers to himself, turning away from me.

I stood on my feet, my fingers trembling. "Shit. Shit. Shit. Merda!" He snapped.

"Alessandro?"

"How the fuck am I-" he stopped. "I can't. Fucking can't do this shit."

"What can't you do, baby? What's wrong?"

"Shut up!" I retreated, fearing for any violent behaviour, he turned to look at me and his eyes were red. Bloodshot.

I froze in that moment. "Alessandro? Did you-"

"B-Bianca." My heart skipped a freaking beat when his voice cracked. I heard so much hurt in it.

It scared me because he's never been this emotional.... ever.

I took in a deep breath and walked to him, wrapping my arms around his torso from behind. I laid my cheek flat on his middle back. "What's wrong?"

"Why can't you just shut the help up and stop fucking touching me!" And like before, he slammed me on the wall behind me.

I yelled in fright, my head smacking the wall behind us.

"You know what!" He barked, moving closer. He grabbed my face and caged me to the wall. His hands gripped my hair painfully tight.

I groaned, grabbing his wrist as my eyes watered. "Why are you doing this?"

"I need to tell you something." Alessandro caressed my cheeks, lost in my eyes and me, his. He connected our foreheads and took in one shaky raspy deep breath. "We're -" he pauses, swallows.

"We're done." He kissed me.

He fucking kissed me after telling me that shit.
