17 Chapter 4 - Springtime (1)

Several days have passed since I buried Zenovis' skeleton. My schedules were more or less set.

For your information, my schedule is more or less like this:

Wake up around 7 am, visit the garden in Argena, cook for breakfast, then laze around for an hour or two. Go to Algeria to hunt until lunch, have lunch, do something else in my home on Earth until dinner. After dinner, I would laze around or do something else until it was time to sleep.

I realized that I look like a deadbeat that your parents always warned you not to become as you grow up. Even so, I didn't give a damn about it!

To tell you the truth, my life is perfect! I feel like the real winner in life! Slow and fun life to do what I please is the best!

Putting all that aside, although I mostly seem to be lazing around like a deadbeat, that doesn't mean I didn't do some good deeds the past several days. For example, I cleaned up the garbage of society in my neighborhood.

In other words, I'd dealt with the Red Ogre gang. Nothing too brutal, I swear!

Anyway, I'd dealt with those scums splendidly, or so I thought. If you're curious about what I've done to them, well, one night, I decided to join their meeting uninvited and brainwashed them to keep order in my city.

For your information, I never said that I wouldn't brainwash people. I'd just said that I don't want to brainwash the girls I want to be my lovers.

The trash of society like the Red Ogre gang is a fair game anyway. And speaking of the change of the Red Ogre gang, their drastic changes, of course, confused the masses who knew what sort of scoundrels they were.

It was understandable if the masses became wary of this sudden change. However, I'm sure that they all will soon adjust to the changes and feel grateful to the mysterious and generous hero who reformed the Red Ogre gang.

Don't underestimate human ability to adapt! Without their adaptive nature, humans would not be able to be the dominant species on Earth!

On top of that, I had also dealt with the original protagonist's family. Just like with the Red Ogre gang, I didn't do anything excessive…

If you really want to know, well, I just pulled some strings behind the scene to transfer Mr. Tenjou to work in another branch of his company in another region, far away from my place. As for the rest of the Tenjou Family, they had to move away with him due to the transfer.

I did all that using my magic. Honestly, magic makes everything very convenient!

To make sure that they wouldn't bother me anymore, I had planted a magical compulsion in their minds that made them feel that they had more important and urgent matters to do than checking on me.

I know that they get away with it easily despite their horrific crimes against the original protagonist, but they never implicate me directly since I transmigrated. Thus, I feel like what I have done is enough.

To begin with, I am not a psychopath nor am I someone edgy. I'm sorry if everything has ended in an anticlimactic way.

But of course, if you think that I'm a wuss, well…

As I swore when I transmigrated in this world, I'd done taking revenge on Takeshi Araki and his gang. I didn't directly get my hands dirty, though.

What I did was control them with Spirit Magic and have them attack the Yakuza group in the next city. As a result, they got beaten up half dead and were currently in the hospital to recover.

The beatings they got were very severe. Even if they recovered, they would end up crippled because those Yakuza members were quite vicious when they beat them.

In the end, they wouldn't become a problem anymore.

On a lighter note, I have acquired the magical household appliances dropped by monsters living in the depth of the Great Devil's Nest. Those appliances were included but not limited to:

[Ultimate Portable Kitchen Set: A rare dropped item from Volcanic Lion. It's a set of a portable kitchen that's a dream of all 3-Star Michelin Chefs and above with complete cooking utensils and a high spec stove that has unlimited fuel. It is also equipped with guaranteed absolute safety for the Cooks, so that the usual accidents that happen in the kitchen will never happen.]

[Ultra Deluxe Magical Fridge: A rare dropped item from Blizzard Grizzly. It is an almost indestructible fridge with magically expanded inner space with many adjustable partitions. It can maintain the best temperature, whether cold or warm, to preserve the absolute best condition of ingredients, food, drinks, and other stuff stored there. It also has a locking mechanism that only the owner of this item and people with permission can access.]

[Super Automatic Washing Machine: A rare dropped item from Giant Devil Toad. A washing machine that does not require electricity or other energy to use, it is capable of washing a wide variety of fabrics without a chance to ruin it and is capable of producing water and various kinds of laundry soap and fragrance according to the user's wishes. It is also capable of drying cloth. Hard to break and destroy.]

[All Seasons Ultra Air Conditioner: A rare dropped item from Three-Headed Vulture. An air conditioner that is able to warm or cool the air in the room, keeping the temperature comfortable and perfect. It requires no energy, be it electricity, magic power, or any other energy, to function. Hard to break and destroy.]

There are other household appliances besides those already mentioned, but that's for another time. Now, let's move on to the monsters that dropped the mentioned appliances.

The weakest monster was at Level 750, which was a Giant Devil Toad that I found around a swampy area deep inside the Great Devil's Nest. It looks like Gamahiro from the Naruto series.

On the other hand, the strongest monster was the Blizzard Grizzly at Level 1,200 that looked like Bluerin from "The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic", although several times bigger and way more intimidating.

The second strongest monster from the list would be the Volcanic Lion, which looked like Solgaleo from Pokemon, though predominantly fiery crimson and metallic gray in color. It was around Level 1,100.

About the Three-Headed Vulture, it was around Level 900. It was a vulture the size of a car with three heads that can spew heatwave, windstorm, and hail respectively.

Even though each of those monsters looked very strong and scary, they were all easily defeated by me from a distance.

Other than that, I had also started investing my money on investments that will be successful in the future. I'm not ashamed to admit that I cheated using Time Magic and Akasha Search Engine to find perfect investments.

As my motto goes: "work smart, not hard!"

By the way, the second time I went to the bank to deposit a huge sum of cash, the teller finally asked me where I did get so much cash. I lied to the teller, saying that I discovered the cash from under the tatami in my grandfather house I inherited.

After hearing that bullshit, the teller was baffled but didn't pursue the matter and took care of my deposit quickly. I also warned the teller that maybe in the future, I would deposit another huge sum of cash if I found another 'hidden' stash of my late grandfather.

It was to prepare for my future transaction. Although I couldn't abuse this excuse too much, it would help me for the next few transactions I had with the bank before I got a better alternative.

So, that's how the last few days went. It was fun!

And today, around 10 am, I got an unexpected guest.

There was a fancy car stopping in front of my house. I went out to receive my guest, who was none other than Kaori.

Once Kaori got out of the car, I could see her appearance properly and was mesmerized.

Kaori was wearing a pink shirt, a pleated beige-colored skirt that stopped above her knees, a pantyhose, and a pair of boots. She also had a bag hanging down on her shoulder and a pink flower hair clip that kept her bangs off her face.

It was not my first time seeing Kaori with my own eyes, but I had to admit that I was enchanted by her natural beauty. Unlike in our first encounter, however, I was able to snap out of my daze easily with my immeasurable INT.

By the way, when I took a glance at Kaori's face, I found that she had fallen into a daze due to my transcendent charm. Inwardly, I smirked in satisfaction because I'd stunned Kaori like that.
