Chapter 1: That Person

"It's not finished yet, but my stomach is growling..." I groaned to myself and saw that there were piles of scattered documents on the work table.

Fifteen minutes past lunch break at the office and I politely declined an invitation from my friends to have lunch because I was still waiting for some documents that I couldn't wait to work on.

"I better go to the cafeteria now!"

"Shenna..."

I looked for who called me, it turned out that Ryan was my colleague and I stopped waiting for Ryan to approach.

"Let's eat." Ryan's hand took mine.

I nodded following Ryan who walked so fast maybe his stomach was the same as mine which was already feeling very hungry.

It's only natural that even though it's a hot sunny day outside the office, it feels cold to us and makes our stomachs growl even more because the central air conditioner in our office room is cold as in the poles.

"You guys just had a break?" asked Tasya sitting with our two friends who had almost finished their lunch in the office cafeteria.

Ryan and I simultaneously nodded at Tasya's question and it represented our answer.

As soon as Ryan and I ordered our respective favorite menus and without waiting for a long time, our orders were eaten.

Friends just smiled at us who were enjoying it greedily and occasionally they were nosy to disturb us both.

"Satiety..." Ryan rubbed his stomach and I just smiled because it's impossible for me to also rub my stomach, hehehe

Can be ashamed to follow Ryan's style like that.

Seeing that we had finished lunch, our friends invited us to return to the office and it was time for us to complete the pending assignments.

"Shenna your phone is ringing." Tasya, who was walking beside me, gave me the cell phone that I left her with when we went to the toilet.

"Thank you."

I saw who was calling me and waved at Tasya who said goodbye to enter the room first.

Cindy my best friend, I stopped at the corner towards the entrance to answer the phone from her and chatted for a while.

It's been a long time since we met, I really miss my best friend and my best friend had time to convey greetings from someone to me.

"Ehmmm, why did he ask how I was again." I complained and hung up the phone and rushed into the room following Tasya who had continued her work.

Want to know what my life is doing right now? Hasn't it been a long time since we met that we don't need to look for news anymore?

"Ackhhh just makes me dizzy." I complained again.

"Okay sir, I'll email you later." my promise to Mr. Hans on a parallel telephone line.

My work suddenly became a mess because my mind started to lose focus after getting the news.

"Cheer up Shenna..." I said in my heart encouraging myself.

While waiting for the bus to come home I leaned on a pole at the bus stop and that was because the seats at this bus stop were already filled with some people who were also waiting for the bus towards their respective residences.

It's rush hour like this when we go home from the office at the same time we have to be able to make peace with the situation and also be patient enough with the capital's traffic jams.

There were some people who were enjoying the afternoon snacks available around the bus stop and that made me tempted to enjoy them too and I chose mung bean bapau.

"Cindy..." I read the chat from my best friend while chewing mung bean bapu.

Again, Cindy discussed that someone, why was she so curious and why did she keep looking for me.

I quickly put away my cell phone because the city bus to my destination had arrived. I have to be ready to race to find an empty seat, and oops, I got one of the empty seats which is quite comfortable.

The position is near the window and I can use it to lean on while enjoying the hustle and bustle of traffic jams from the city bus.

Just relax, even though on the way to the office or going home, you have to be like this, it's always jammed, which definitely puts everyone in a bad mood.

"I'm home...."

"Welcome home...."

Dad answered greetings from inside the house but I didn't see my mother, and it turned out that mom was out of the house attending a routine recitation at the house complex.

I sipped the hot tea that was available on the dining table, my mother always prepared a hot drink when I came home from work.

My father and mother love me immensely because I am the only child who is not yet married. My siblings are married and they live with their own small families.

"How was your job today?" asked my father who always discussed my daily life at the office.

"Today there is a lot of work that must be completed because tomorrow morning it will be discussed in a meeting." I replied explaining.

If only my mind had been more focused on doing my assignments at the office, maybe not today I've been stressed to finish them.

Just receiving news about him already makes me dizzy especially having to have a meeting with him.

Then I said goodbye to my father to take a shower and clean myself because all day my body feels sticky from sweat and street dust.

"It's delicious, ma'am..." I finished the side dish along with the white rice on my plate.

Mom smiled because the dinner she cooked today made mom happy where dad and I enjoyed it heartily.

How can I not gorge myself as a result of my exhausted mind, my appetite will increase like this, but don't do it too often, otherwise my weight will increase later. ha ha ha

"Come on, add more." dad joked to me.

I shook my head it felt like my stomach was not strong anymore, mom and dad just laughed. this is how it is when we have gathered at home even though there are only three but harmony is always there.

After dinner I accompany my father and mother to sit relaxed on the terrace of the house, the cold air tonight makes me yawn occasionally.

Usually, if your stomach is full, you want to sleep quickly and plus the weather is favorable, which looks like it's going to rain.

"You just rest so you won't be late for work tomorrow." mother's advice stroking my hair.

Mother understands very well seeing my behavior which cannot be hidden anymore from this drowsiness, father agrees with mother.

Then I did what mother said and immediately went to the room leaving my father and mother who were still chatting on the terrace of the house.

And I almost forgot that I haven't answered Cindy's chat this afternoon, but let's just say that tomorrow I and my best friend will instead be having fun chatting.

"Sorry, Cindy, I didn't want to ignore you." I said in my heart while this hand pulled the blanket.

Between regret and feeling bad for my best friend, I became like this and that was the result of that person... Ukfhhh annoying.
