10 The Revelation - II

Judy was looking at Alexis with the scary eyes of a predator. She looked as if she was ready to pounce on a powerless being in front of her. As Judy started to take her steps closer towards Alexis, a hint of fear slithered over her innocent face. The more steps Judy took, the more frightened Alexis looked. Alexis started to step back, not knowing what else to do, until her back touched the wall.

As soon as she hit the wall, she glanced at the road on her side thinking about running away. But right then Judy put her hands over Alexis's shoulder to touch the wall. Judy blocked Alexis before she could sprint, "Not thinking of running away from me again, are you?" An evil smirk lurked over Judy's thin lips. She had finally gotten a hold of her prey after trying from such a long time.

By now, Alexis was drenched in cold sweat and she felt like her knees would give out any minute now. She knew that Judy was heartless, but after she saw how they beat up Jimmy in one shot, she was sure that Judy was a demon whose only purpose was to make her life a living hell.

"Why are you doing this to me Judy? What have I ever done to you that you are hell-bent on ruining my life?" Tears started to fall down from the scared eyes of hers. She kept on staring at Judy with pitiful eyes, her heart thudding from the fear of what might happen next.

When Judy looked into the questioning eyes of Alexis, she felt a small pinch in her heart. Judy did not have answer to Alexis's question; all she knew was that she had to beat Alexis to ease her heart. So she took a sharp breath, clenched her fist and punched Alexis in the stomach. Alexis felt that unbearable pain in her gut, and bent while grunting and pressing her stomach.

Judy pushed Alexis back up placing her hand on Alexis's shoulder and asked, "Is this all you can take, little alien? I haven't even started yet." Then she gave another punch in Alexis's stomach, followed by another two.

Alexis felt like her stomach had torn apart and a hole had formed in her stomach. She could barely stand and was crouching with excruciating pain; gagging and crying her eyes out.

Judy crouched down to the level of Alexis's face and mocked her, "Aww… Seems like my little alien is hurt. Do you want me to wipe your tears?"

Alexis looked at Judy with vengeful eyes but couldn't do anything, so she spit on her face. Judy closed her eyes instinctively and when she opened them, her eyes were glaring at Alexis in scalding fury. She tightened her fist and with all her strength, punched on Alexis's small face. Alexis passed out immediately.

"This is all I remember. The next thing I know, I was in the hospital bed and my mom was sitting beside me." As Alexis finished reciting her miserable story, tears were rolling down from her sparkling emerald eyes. She quickly wiped her tears and looked the other way in order to hide it from her friend.

"It's okay to cry Lexi. I'll make sure those filths will pay for what they did to you." Natalia's eyes became vengeful after listening how they had crushed her poor friend, and treated her like a toy that they could easily break.

If Natalia had talked about punishing them on some other time then Alexis would have protested. But this time, Alexis wanted them to pay for what they did to her and Jimmy. They don't have the right to beat people till they're unconscious and get away with it, she thought.

Alexis shook her head to stop thinking about that day and stayed still for a while. Then she put a smile on her face and hugged Natalia saying, "What would I do without you Nat? Thank you for taking me to the hospital?" Alexis tried to direct the conversation elsewhere.

Natalia hugged her back with a confused look on her face and asked, "What? Your mom didn't tell you?"

Alexis pulled back and asked to Natalia, "Tell me what? I never really got the chance to talk to her. She mentioned that you were there in the hospital in your bath robe, so I assumed you were the one to take me to the hospital."

Natalia cleared her throat and told Alexis what actually happened. "I would love to take all the credit but someone else found you unconscious on the road and called me. He sounded very stupid, said he didn't know where the hospital was, how to use the navigation app, and how to call an ambulance. I was afraid that he might just leave you on the street."

Natalia raised her eyebrows and boasted, "But yours truly here, taught that guy what to do and he took you to the hospital. And don't you dare say to anyone else that I showed up to the hospital in my bath robe." She warned Alexis in a playful way and both of them laughed.

"Tell me about your date. Did you get back in time?" Alexis's eyes glistened with curiosity.

"Well I had enough time to get dressed. I didn't have enough time for makeup though, but still, I think I looked okay. You want to see the photos?" Natalia was a bit shy to give out the details of her date and she tried to steer the conversation away. Alexis nodded vigorously with excitement. And then both of them stared on Natalia's phone as Natalia swiped through her date night's pictures.

"You call this "okay"? You looked amazing Nat. And Liam… I never thought he looked this good. You two make such an adorable couple. I am really happy for both of you" Alexis compliment the couple as she was indeed very happy for her best friend.

"So, where did he take you? How was the food and everything?" Alexis was not going to let Natalia off that easily unless she gave all the details.

"We went to the "Milky Way Hall" in P-19 Street. The food was good, music was good; the place was really amazing. I really had a wonderful time. Liam is a perfect gentleman. He even bought me a bouquet of red roses." Natalia spilled the details and her face brightened up with joy.

Alexis clapped her hand together in excitement and said with a grin on her face, "That is so wonderful. Did he kiss you goodnight?"

"Yes he did. Now stop asking all these questions." Natalia's face started to get hot as she was blushing.

"Perfect then." Alexis raised her both hands in the air as if her friend just reached a milestone. Then Alexis turned to face Natalia and contemplated for a while if she should share it or not. When Alexis kept on staring at Natalia with her puckered lips, Natalia gave her a bewildered look and asked, "What?"

Finally, she inhaled sharply and divulged her little secret, "My Soulmate app showed a name."

"What?" Natalia exclaimed very loudly as she was not expected to hear this. "Why didn't you tell me sooner? When did this MIRACLE happen?"

"When I check my cell phone after I returned back home, there was a notification from that app. I just casually opened it, didn't expect it to actually show a name AND a photo." Alexis shrugged and answered with an equally puzzled look on her face.

Natalia didn't say anything, just raised her brows and kept staring at Alexis with a very expectant look. "What?" Alexis didn't know what she wanted to hear. "Well, his name?" Natalia asked the obvious question. "Oh! Right… Vorian Zadoc. Weird name right?" Then Alexis gave a little nervous laugh.

After hearing the name, Natalia held her head by her hand, fluttered her eye lashes and mimicked being dizzy. "Oh my stars! Did I just hear VORIAN ZADOC?" She could not believe her ears.

"Stop being so dramatic Nat. I know the name's weird." Alexis tried to hush up Natalia as she was starting to feel embarrassed.

"No, dummy… He is the one who saved you the other day. And I clearly remember his name because I found it a bit peculiar." Natalia finally revealed the information about Lexi's savior. Alexis was slowly able to fill in all the gaps about the things that had happened when she was unconscious.

Alexis went into deep thought for a moment as she was busy connecting the links in her head. Then she finally spoke, "It all makes sense now. He must have recognized me as his soulmate. And he knew that I was unconscious. That's why he said "nice to finally see you online"; he must have been worried about me."

Natalia was out of loop right now and exclaimed, "What now? You guys talked?"

"We didn't TALK. He sent me a text in the Soulmate app. You never told me that you can chat with your soulmate." Alexis stared at Natalia with complaining eyes.

"You can chat with your soulmate? How can I tell you when even I didn't know about it?" Natalia defended herself. "Let me check your phone", Natalia demanded it to compare with her own phone. Alexis handed Natalia her new cell phone. Natalia scrunched her brows and asked, "Why is it turned off?"

"Umm… I panicked", Alexis shrugged off her shoulders. "Pfft…" Natalia let out a small laugh and proceeded to check Lexi's phone.

After carefully comparing both of their phones, Natalia said, "There is neither chat option nor the project option in my phone, whatever that means. And there are so many other options, mine has none", and then pursed her lips to show disappointment that her soulmate app was practically useless compared to Lexi's.

And then Natalia's eyes fell on the location of Vorian - Noruha, C-31. "And when were you going to tell me that your soulmate is from planet C-31? A planet from the Cygnus-A galaxy? After I passed out?"

Alexis was surprised to hear this as she had not noticed the location before, she was too busy admiring the photo of the young gentleman. She took her cell phone from Natalia's hand and looked; Natalia was not bluffing. "Oh my stars!" Alexis whispered.

"Congratulations! Alexis. His stars are very far away from yours." Natalia poked her friend sarcastically and then laughed hysterically.
