Upon arrival at the Mayor's office, Daryle's parents were already there with four pairs of witnesses. Apparently, Mr. and Mrs Duran contacted some of their colleagues . The other pair was from the side of Mr. and Mrs Marquez. Mayor Marquez and his wife were themselves among the witnesses.

Daryle and Nero were nervous. Yesterday when the Secretary handed the application forms for marriage, they just filled the up like it was one of the natural things they do. This time however, they felt so nervous as they looked at these pairs of witnesses seated elegantly around the office. Two seats left empty infront if the Mayor's' desk.

"So shall we begin? The Mayor looked at the two nervous love birds. They both shook their heads and nodded almost at the same time.

After the Mayor performed his routinary solemnizing ceremony, he asked the witnesses to sign the certificate. He sealed it with his official seal then looked at the two infront of him.

"Mr. Carlson, I'm now giving you the permission to kiss the bride. Or have you done it already?" the Mayor joked.

Mr. Carlson smiled as he took Daryle's hands, while Daryle's were blushed red.

Nero carressed her blushing cheeks before inching his lips to hers. "This is it!" he said before his lips touched hers.

Everyone cheered and clapped their hands. Daryle buried her blushing face at Nero's chest while Nero enveloped her with his arms.

"Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Carlson. God bless your marriage!" The Mayor handed both of them the certificate that everyone just signed. Nero and Daryle turned to their sponsors and shook hands with them with all gratitude.

"Thank you so much uncle, aunty" Daryle went shaking each of them one by one while pulling Nero by the elbow.

That only took 30 minutes. Everything went simple and smooth. Mrs. Duran informed everyone that she has booked a restaurant near the municipal building for lunch. She needed not explain that everything was so abrupt that they didn't have time to prepare for a grand party. Behind her mind, it will be just for now, later on, Nero and Daryle will plan a proper wedding celebration. Today was just a civil wedding of the two.

Everyone headed to the restaurant after the ceremony.

Nero nudged Daryle when they were almost done eating. He whispered, " Babe, what's next after this?" He asked cautiously.

Daryle saw his nervousness. She smiled and decided to tease him. " They will take you away to another house while my parents will lock me at home" she said.

"What!!!???" his eyes widened and he almost choked. He grabbed the glass of water beside him and gulped half of it.

"Why? Do you have objections to it?" Daryle asked laughing inside her breath.

"Oh dear!!! Tell me you are just kidding!" His whisper was almost heard by everyone beside them.

"Hmmmm... " Daryle cleared her throat and beamed a teasing smile.

"Daryle, dont joke like this!" Nero's face returned to normal.

Daryle smiled ear to ear as she toyed the straw in her drink. "Haha, you look so handsome just a while ago Mr. Carlson." she sipped her juice and raised her eyebrows then stuck out her tongue.

"Mrs. Carlson, I will make sure you'll pay for this!" He said as he poked her nose. "Silly!" he said as he pinched it gently.

"Is the price negotiable, can I get a lighter sentence?" she said smiling cutely.

Seeing her like this, Nero's heart became more erratic and his desire to kiss her grew more uncontrollable.

"No! " He quickly moved beside her and without a warning possessively covered her lips with his. "You are talking too much!" He said after he released her. He licked his lips to savor the sweetness of whatever was left there. So what if people saw them like this? She's his wife now and he knew he will never get tired of loving her. He just can't hide his emotions now because he is too overwhelmed with these happiness that came almost all at the same time!
