4 Chapter 3 Past School Days

She walked back to school, pretending to be okay, while her head and hips hurt being hit with a whip from her mother and she covered them up for her fellow students to not see it. She really did not want Aqua and and senior brothers Huo and Ash know about the plight of her life.

To Volca, a demon filled with dreams. And it was not just any other dream, but equality. She had a good heart unlike other demons, but people never treated her the way deserved. Always considering her like monstrous evil witch, it always hurt her. Whenever she travelled, she had gone through the difficulties of not getting a good inn to stay or forbidden entries to the theatres or any crowded places, kicked out for the wardrobe she had and features she was born with, that dark tattoo on the hand of demon beast. She wanted to bring a change to that. She wanted to be treated equal. But she was also aware of the fact how the other demons are not like her and the greatest living example was her own mother. A typical demon, a satan worshipper who has the willingness to do all evilness in the universe, full of wickedness and crooked ideas. She was aware that demonic nature of the heart is hard to tame but wondered why she did not feel or behave like people in her Clan.

With this ideas in heart, to Volca meeting Aqua was one of the best things that happens in life. To have somebody close enough to share the worries and jokes but not a thingd about her personal life or the mother daughter relationship. Aqua had the calm nature who had endured hardships her own way and she never had that kind of attitude of being the Water Realm's Crown Princess, instead mingled with everyone and often malingered along with Volca to relax and bunk training sessions. She was that free spirited and enjoying every moment she was at school. And to her Volca turned more like Milan, her sister. Volca was exactly treated just like Aqua treated her sister. Taking care well and making sure things are fine. But little did Aqua know what was about to come.

Volca entered the school with a heavy heart though she was pretending to smile and feel excited. She walked in straight to Aqua's accommodation and handed the flower cakes she baked for her best friend. Aqua got all excited settled down on the table and started eating the cakes straight.

"You're back," Ash walked into the accommodation and Volca noted how Huo'er was standing outside. But there was something else she noticed. His eyes were on Aqua, and not her. Her heart sunk for a moment and she wasn't sure of what she saw.

"Come in and have them," Ash said to Huo who hesitated to come inside the accommodation.

"Am fine, let her have it all," he said pointing at Aqua and walked away smile somewhere curving on his lips though he was trying to be very serious. Volca wanted to know about everything that was happening suddenly. She decided to watch the two of them.
