22 Chapter 21 Novel Identity of a Demoness

"I have been living in the hospital for several months, I was in coma a they said, and I have amnesia, I don't remember anything about my life, and it even my name, I don't know where am from, I didn't have anything with me, I don't who took me to the hospital or how I ended up in this village, I don't know who i am or i was, how i used to be, after months and months of treatments and therapies, I got discharged today, seeing how pathetic my condition is, a non-governmental organisation helped me in collecting some clothes and a phone for me, and the hospital paid me money to meet some expenses until I get a job anywhere, so to say who I am, I don't know my name, so everyone in the hospital decided to name me as Hara and got me IDs," Volca narrated tele story very beautifully. Nanna sat very seriously listening to her and Jiah felt too helpless.

"What should we do?" Nanna asked her.

"Let her live here upstairs as paying guest as long as wants to stay then, let her work in our farm, well botanical garden for some days, we will pay her some salary enough for her to support helped until she finishes her treatment and gets her amnesia cured," Jiah said taking Volca's hands. "Until then she will be our Hara," Jiah smiled at her. "You don't have to worry and feel scared, you really looks scared right now do you know, you cant trust us, we are a very decent family in this village," Jiah assured. Volca's heart skipped a beat as she heart those comforting words from strangers. Something not even a relative would do for you, the stranger was willing to do for her. She felt blessed for some minutes until she reminded herself again that she is a demon. 'No no forget it, you no longer have the demonic cultivation inside you, don't think about, don't deceive this people and try to live until you get the powers back and leave,' she advised herself immediately.

"Thank you," Volca said tearing up a little. Nanna patted Volca's shoulders.

"Why don't I show you your room?" Jiah said and got up. Nanna smiled and asked Volca to follow her daughter upstairs.

"I rent the portion upstairs once a while, now it has been free for months, it must be meant for you, come up, we can use this stairs and also i have stairs in the terrace, you can use them too without having to come inside this house. You may use them directly as you get inside the gates and go upstairs," Jiah gave her details of the house. "This is the tiny living room," she said as they landed upstairs and opened the door. The room looked bright with yellow walls and a television fixed on the wall. it also had book shelves around in wall, stacked with various novels, and educational books. "These are my son's books, he used to love here until he joined college, after he left I started renting them, could use some extra cash you know," Jiah said and took Volca to a small kitchen to the left of the living room. The kitchen was small and could accommodate only two people at a time. There was a refrigerator, some racks to store things and a cooking range. "The gas is available, eater runs full time, we must have to pay bills once in twice a months, electricity too, it cheap so you don't have to worry about those," Jiah informed her about the various bills. Volca had no idea how she will meet the expenses. Since she had lost her costume, her pouch and still not able to summon her purple sword she felt too lost. Or else the gold coins could have made her life a little better by pawning them.

Then Jiah took her to the bedroom. A decent sized room with wardrobe, a coat with a large bed enough for two and a good full sized mirror. The theme of the room was all red and black it suited her really well being a demon, since those were her colours she used in every single thing she picked from clothes to ribbons to boots to even her lingerie. The black and red alternatively painted walls with red bed spread and and black quilt.

"That's my son's choice, I can change then for you," Jiah said.

"It's fine, I like the colours," Volca said and smiled.

"That's great,"

The left side of the coat was the window that gave an unbelievable sight outside, sea ! Volca moved the red net curtains and put her head out. "Sea?" she asked Jiah.

"Yes, that's right," Jiah said. "That's the speciality of our village, we are surrounded by everything here," She said proudly. "Silent Spring Valley on one side and this West Village Sea, we have both of these as the two ends of this small district, Bara district. "We will go to our botanical garden I run tomorrow, you can start work when you feel well, will that be okay?" Jiah asked Volca for her willingness and Volca agreed straight.

"I can start tomorrow, " she said.

"Did you not discharge only today morning, you must rest for few days," Jiah reminded her.

"I just want to take a look, I won't overwork I promise," Volca assured Jiah.

"You can rest here, fresh up, and remember to ask me if you need anything, I will hand you some toiletries, you will need them," Jiah said and walked towards the stairs to climb down. "I will let you know once dinner is ready, I will be with mom, you can join after you finish resting," she said and left. Volca took a deep breath and looked around.

"Is this all real?" she asked herself. She touched her cheeks that burned literally. She cooled them down cupping her cheeks and walked back to the room, sitting on the bed and slowly lying on her back, looking at the ceiling. She noticed that the room had both ceiling fan and air condition. She got up when something came into her mind. She sat up straight.
