4 Chapter 4

"Milady, we're here," Lucius said as they arrived on a huge historical set.

She was always welcome wherever Xinyi was shooting. She entered the set and caught a lot of attention from the staff.

"Jia, how are you, my dear?" the director beamed as soon as he saw Jia.

"Director! I'm fine. Xinyi? Where's she?" she asked.

"Xinyi's in the dressing room with the other artist. Go find her quickly," the director said.

After searching for the dressing room, she found out the dressing room was meant for extras. It was quite shabby actually. And there were a lot of arrogant extras inside.

"Xinyi?" she said as soon as she entered with Lucius and Jiangzhe.

"Jia? Waaah, why are you here?" she cried as soon as she saw her bestfriend. Jia has always been the strongest one between the two of them. She was strong emotionally and physically and is very intelligent and beautiful. While Xinyi was always artistic between them. They very different from each other but they always got each other's back.

"I had a lot of time on my hands. Lucius, find Xinyi a new dressing room. Jiangzhe, call for the director. Who dares put my little Xin in a shabby dressing room?" Jia said as she hugged her teary-eyed bestfriend.

Ever since they were kids, it was Jia who would always defend Xinyi. She'd always baby her since she treats Xinyi as her little sister.

"It's fine. Besides, they promised me a new dressing room in a few days," Xinyi said as she grabbed some tissues to wipe her tears away. "There's still 2 hours before we meet. Don't you have work?"

"I finished it early so I came to fetch you," she said as she turned to find Lucius who just came in. "Did you find any?"

"Yes. A particularly good one, milady," he said without minding that that dressing room was for the female lead.

"Milady, the director is here," Jiangzhe said as he dragged the poor director in her presence.

"What's wrong?" the director asked as he fixed his clothes.

"Why is she in this shabby room?" Jia asked.

"No, no... I'm really fine here. They promised me a new dressing room," Xinyi said as she tried to defend the director.

Jia's forehead scrunched. The shoot was going to be over in 2 days but she chose to say nothing about it.

"Don't worry. I already found a more suitable dressing room for little Xin. Jiangzhe, get our lunch. We'll eat our lunch in her new room," Jia said as she held Xinyi by hand and dragged her to her new dressing room.

After the two left, the director sweated furiously and Lucius quickly noticed this.

"Is there something wrong, director?" he asked, his voice was indifferent.

"It was for Ms. Yue," the director replied nervously.

"Well, she could stay here instead. You should be thankful that milady has been merciful today," Lucius said as he glared at the director before leaving.

After an hour, they were already happily eating their lunch when Yue arrived. Lan Yue, the protagonist of the drama that Xinyi was shooting in. She was ultimately favored by the company that manages both her and Xinyi. As she was stopped by Lucius and Jiangzhe outside, Jia and Xinyi heard the commotion outside.

Jia silently wiped her mouth clean before speaking.

"Lucius, let her in," she said.

Yue entered the room angrily.

"Who are you to take my room away? And give it to that bitch?!" she wailed.

"Lucius? From what company is this brat?" she asked.

"Brat? Who? Me?" she scoffed. "You! Don't you know me?"

"She's from the Star Entertainment," Lucius replied.

Jia remained quiet while Xinyi was fidgeting from nervous in her seat.

"Ah..." she said as she looked at Yue.

She couldn't believe that Xinyi was below her. Well, she couldn't deny that Yue was already experienced. But Xinyi was dubbed the most promising star of the century before she was signed under that shitty entertainment. While she was busy, her little Xin was being bullied behind her back.

"Let's go, Lucius. Jiangzhe, stay with Xinyi," she said. "Don't let anyone hurt a single strand of her hair."

The only thing companies despise about her was her determination. The determination to destroy anyone that would block her way or anyone that would try and harm people she loves.

"Director, continue with the shoot. I will be back shortly," Jia said as she left.

The moment Jia and Lucius left, the director threw a glare at Xinyin.

"You fcking bitch, how dare you to complain? You should at least be thankful we gave you a dressing room," the director scoffed. "And asking for Ms. Jia to back you up? How shameless."

Xinyi bowed her head to apologize but Jiangzhe interrupted.

"Director, I suggest you stop harassing Ms. Xinyi. Ms. Xinyi, is, after all, milady's little sister. I think by now, Ms. Jia would be on her way to the Star Entertainment to discuss things," he said as he glared at the two.

"You're just Jia's lapdog. How dare you speak to me? I'm the young lady of the Lan Family," Yue said as he pointed at Jiangzhe. "Settle things with my entertainment? But it's my brother who is the CEO there."

"Well then, I will assume you haven't heard of the Demoness CEO of the Tan Industries," Jiangzhe smirked.

After hearing this, the two remained silent and the director escorted Yue out.

At the office of the CEO of the Xiang Corporation, a man sat in front of his laptop while carefully monitoring the stocks when his vice president came in without knocking.

"Ever heard of knocking?" the man asked without looking up.

"Nope. And... you're fiancee's doing something interesting," the vp said as he tossed a folder to him.

"What are these?" the man asked as he lifted the folder.

"She's trying to destroy Star Entertainment. It's one of our biggest shareholders and it's asking for our help. It'll be a big problem if we don't. They'll start withdrawing their stocks if we don't take action," the vp said. "Want me to jump in for you?"

The man leaned back on his chair and clasped his hands and shook his head.

"What? Dude, we spent our blood, sweat, and tears if we don't help," the VP said.

"You're fully aware what my intentions are when I saved the company, right?" the man asked.

"You're one sick love dog," the vp shook his head as he loosened his tie. "Well then, we should at least do something."

"Let her do whatever she wants. Star Entertainment has begun annoying me by sending those useless women every damn meeting I have with them," he said. "At least she's taking some things off my mind."

"You know how she does things. She's going to leave nothing untouched. Damn, I still remember how she swept clean that huge mining company last year. That was scary as fck," the vp said as he shuddered. "But you'll have to prepare for a huge loss."

"I am. The stocks have been rising this week and it's still is. I don't mind if I lose 20% of my company's stocks," he said as he shrugged.

"Fine, I'll do whatever you want. Besides, I would personally like how your little girl throws a tantrum. I heard she was dubbed as the Demoness CEO," the other man said.

The man smirked.

"She's not a little girl. If she was, I wouldn't have chased her for years," he said.

At the Star Entertainment, the CEO, Yue's big brother was trying hard not to be nervous. His sister just offended someone that he's been trying woo for months now. He really wanted the Tan Industries to invest in his growing company, but since his sister threw a useless tantrum at her. Now he worries about the company's future.

As he paced back and forth, trying to calm himself down. He knew what kind of woman was Jia. He was there when she swept clean the largest mining company last year and she was ruthless. She absorbed that company when it was already hanging by a thread.

A man suddenly entered the room and opened the door for a woman to enter.

It was her.

"M-Miss Tan, a pleasure to see you. Wh-What brings you here?" he asked trying to hide his nervousness.

"How much does it cost to buy Xinyi's contract?" she asked without hesitation.

He paused for a moment to take in her question.

"Wh-What?" he asked, dumbfounded.

"Milady doesn't ask twice," Lucius said as he glared at the man.

"Ahh... Th-There's nothing for you to pay. I'd gladly give her to you," he said as he went to his desk to find Xinyi's contract.

"Lucius, hand him the $15 million. That should be enough," she said as she yawned. "Hurry up and search for her contract."

"Ahh, here it is. Please. I can't accept your generosity," he said.

"If you won't take it, I'll have to--"

"PLEASE DON'T DESTROY MY FATHER'S COMPANY. I ONLY RECENTLY TOOK OVER. I'M SORRY FOR MY SISTER'S INCOMPETENCE. I'LL MAKE SURE TO SCOLD HER WELL BACK AT HOME!" he cried as he groveled at her feet but she only kicked him away.

"Lucius, take this ridiculous human away from me. I'm being merciful right now since this is Xinyi's dream company," she sighed. "Let me finish talking first. I'll have to ask you on my behalf that you treat Xin better. I've let her become an actress since she insisted she wanted to do acting. The next time you bully my sister, you'll have to answer to me."

"Yes, yes... Thank you so much, Ms. Tan," he cried.

"Let's go, Lucius. Let Jiangzhe assist Xin for today," she said. "The moment your sister lays a finger on Xin's head, my guard would be the one who will deal with your sister. And he is very... hostile towards anyone that is against me or my family."

"Yes, understood Ms. Tan," he said.

After Jia left, he finally let out a deep breath. He really did thought she was going to do what she did with that mining company.
