9 My Husband is an Orge Chapter 8

"So now what do I do..." Aine asked watching as the woman toke the cups from the table and placed them on the desk. "I'm sorry, I didn't get your name and his name." She gasped feeling stupid and embarrassed about the whole situation. Tears began to bead from the edges of her eyes as emotions barreled into her."Oh...It's ok! I'm been so use to living here that I forgot that...Well...I've forgotten that names are important in the human world." The woman laughed as she sat back down. She looked embarrassed even comfortable with Aine's crying as though she didn't quite understand what to do for her.

"My name is Odile."

"Aine." There was a brief pause before Aine asked "What do you mean when you said names are "important up there"?" Odile was quiet for a moment before she crossed her legs. The white of her gown rising a little from the motion. They were long graceful toned even. She looked graceful, the need for pain to escape the stressful situation rose like a forest fire. She clasped her hands tighter to ignore the urge.

"Demons believe names have power. If you learn their names you have the ability and sense of control over them. Most Demons have a term for one another or a second name. To my Master, I am known as Glided. And he to me, of course, Master. It has been a very long time since I heard my real name. It feels nice." Odile gave a soft sad smile and for a moment Aine wondered how she came to be here. She was far too pretty to have been simply forgotten in the world. Before, She could stop herself. The words flooded from her mouth.

"How long have you've been down here?" Odile squeezed the ends of her dress with obvious nervousness tension even before she turned towards Aine. "The Nazis had invaded France so possibly a hundred years possibly more. I can't remember. Things begin to get fussy when it comes to memories of your death." Odile wrapped an arm around her narrow waist and squeezed seeking comfort from the action. The air began to change as Aine repeated "Death..." Odile nodded before reaching her hand across her throat rubbing the skin there. The simple action drew Aine's attention more towards the small shimmer that danced across it before Odile's once pale neck was replaced with a jagged thick scar that ran from one side of her ear to the other. "I do remember being held down then the metal." Odile's eyes grew distant cold even as she stared across the table at Aine. "There wasn't any pain you know." She said making Aine shrink back at the change of her tone...no of her voice as it became a whisper. A heavyweight flooded the room. It was a struggle to breathe as Odile began to whisper in front of her. A sharp screech made her jump causing her to turn towards the room where she caught sight of it. The shadows were moving, growing, taking shape and form around them. "There was so much blood," Odile whispered as the shadows crept along her skin, soaking into it. An inky blackness began to leak from her eyes and across her beautiful white dress staining it making it as black as the shadows. She began to sob rocking back in forth as the room flooded with shadows drowning them both.

The Demon rubbed his finger along the top of the Pixie Demon's head. The creature was quite happy for the affection as most Pixie demons were. It had done marvelously in the Arena. It was alert and quite happy to please him. It would do well for him and his wife. "I see that you have a follower old man." The hodded Demon tensed before turning back towards him. He was tense, uneasy. He was ready for a fight. The need to show dominance once again was rising. "She isn't a follower. She is my bride." The demon's eyes raised in surprise. "I didn't feel your magic within her." He lifted his finger from the pixie. The creature made of chrip of protest before moving to his cheek. He ignored it as he focused on his old friend. The hooded demon was quiet for a moment before he sighed answered " She is different. A wisp of magic that disappears as soon as reappear. She carries the physical mark across her skin but my magic is..."The old man stopped dead in his tracks. The pixie demon was silent before letting out an ear-splitting scream. Something was wrong. "Odile!" The Demon whispered taking off down the hallway towards his mate and the Demon's wife. Panic rose as The Fire Demon followed suit chasing after the old Demon in till they came towards a door of inky blackness. Rage was what joined the Panic as He turned towards the Old Demon baring his teeth. "What happened?" He growled grabbing the Old Demon's hood. The Demon said nothing at first before turning towards the door. "She isn't like normal humans. Something happened to her that made her like this." He laid a hand on the door and flinched as a spark of magic lashed out cutting his palm.

Blood splatter along the door and for a moment they both felt a rush of magic assault their skin. "And, I left my bride with her." He growled as the rage and fear began to boil over now. The heat upon his skin becoming nearly unbearable to the demon beside him. In an act of the same fear and anger, the old demon lashed out as well. His own heavier magic lashing out against his.

A loud gasp is the only thing that drew them out from there fight. The fire Demon rushed to the door.

"Aine!"

There was a moan then another gasp before he finally heard her voice. "Where am I?" The relief was instant and for a moment his knees got weak at the sound of her voice. He swallowed as the relief kept crashing through him before he questioned: "Are you hurt?"

There was another gasp before She answered "No but something is...Ah!...Something is touching me." The rage returned causing him to turn towards the Old man with a renewed anger. The Demon narrowed his eyes and explained "She's not doing that. It's how she protects herself. She doesn't see your mate as a threat but I can guess there is something about her that interest that part of her magic."

He growled again before asking " What do we do now then?" The Demon sighed before turning his head towards the door and answering " I can either bring her back to reality or Your mate can calm her down but either way. If she doesn't we'll be here for a very very long time.
