CHAPTER 96

 I balled my fist.

"I am fine okay? Just get her released, I can't bear it if she is locked up for a week."

"And I still stand by my words Jolene, she is going to be there for one week! The penalty for stabbing someone is getting a hundred lashes but I am just locking her up." 

"Father! Doing all these won't make her change, her hatred for me keeps multiplying." 

"I don't care, I wonder what kind of heart you have, how can you still be pleading on that she-devil's behalf after what she has done to you?" 

"She is still your daughter!" I shouted at him.

"You and mum are the reason why Paulene is like this, she has been living with grandmother all her life without her parents' love. You expect her to be happy? She grew without your love and care, that's why she is so miserable. What you should be doing right now is to make up for those years instead of locking her up like a criminal." I fired at him.

"Same thing happened to you Jolene, you didn't grow up with us but you are not like her. Before I sent her to grandma's place, she had been very violent and bad-mannered. I and your mother did everything we could to make her change but she grew worse to the extent she threw you down from the stairs. She kept doing one mischievous or the other, she kept hurting the weaker ones, she was just uncontrollable. I had no other choice," My father raised his voice at me and I sighed.

He was right anyways, Paulene was born with that nature, I wish I can change her. 

I immediately fell on my knees,

"I am sorry for talking back to you father, just let Paulene go, please." I pleaded but he suddenly turned his back on me 

I kept pleading for more than ten minutes but it seems he hardened his heart.

I gave up and stormed out of his room, I was going to release Paulene myself. 

As soon I began walking down the hallway,my head felt light and my eyes spinned on their own. 

I held the wall for support so I won't fall. 

I felt liquid run down my nose, I was bleeding.

I suddenly felt weak and my eyes continued spinning. 

It seems everything was turning upside down, I fell on my butt and began breathing heavily and blood streamed from my nostrils.

What the hell is happening to me?
