1 Chapter 1/Useless Am I

On a rainy and squishy day, things went real bad for a family among others. It all happened so fast that they could not do anything or even act. A few hours ago, the cadet of the family Vanessa got accepted into Squarenic high school. And that was the cause of their demise.

Morning, soon reaching nine O'clock, a little girl had trouble leaving her bed. Dreaming about a shining and scintillating knight riding a 'horse-power'. The little girl was not ready to leave that for her family. And while cuddling the knight in her princess like dream, a demon-like woman burst in her room ready to break bones. Just then, the oldest daughter of the family came in and stopped their mother.

-"(Bonnie) V, V!! Wake up!!! Mom wants you up. She said that you are gonna be late for your CC or sonething like that.."

-"(Vee) Huhh...? Mom? Useless-thing?? I told you to never enter my room while I am here. What do you wa--You know what. Just fuck off. I want to sleep.."

Hearing those words, their mother started boiling and suddenly in a matter of few seconds became red. Like literally red. The eldest desperate to hear those things about the cadet sighed and left the room. She brought along with her their mother. Weny in the kitchen, their mother started to badmouth the cadet. Treating her like garbage and all, their mother sobbed out to the children's father. And a simple yet boring morning changed into a hell. Their father pent up used to let out his frustration and anger on the cadet. In the house of the Vanessa, they considered the cadet as a bug troubling their peaceful life. Put altogether, the life of the Vanessa's was just mess and they all would blame the cadet because she wouldn't respect her family. And they thought that it was easy to pick on the defenseless. And they were right, so right that over time they made a monster out of her. Irrespectful, bad behaviour, in a matter of few years, the cadet became a little monster disrespecting everyone, family or not.

-"(Father, Vaine) You are kidding me??! V, Come down now!!"

-"(Vee) Asking what..? I am busy sleepi--"

The father puffed out at the cadet furrowing his nose showing how angry he was. Then, he started talking but the cadet was out of it. She did not care so she did not listen to a single words. She was used to it anyway. It was this family's routine. And soon, she found herself in a state of 'eyes-still-open-but-sleeping-and-daydreaming'.

-"(Father, Vaine) Bla..bla-bla...bla..bla.bl--So that you can revise more. I am doing this for you okay. So that you can revise and concentrate yourself more. Understand me?"

-"(Vee)...."

-"(Father, Vaine) I take that as a yes."

The father hurried away to his room looking for mother to ease his 'turn-on'. And Cadet stayed still there. Sleeping while standing, she dreamt about the shiny knight and soon, her dream became an horror when the shiny knight was bitten by a zombie. Waking up from her nightmare, the cadet looked around her and saw nothing. She went back to her room with a pack of waffles biscuit in her right hand and water in her left. Starting the day with everyone in their room watching shows or movies or doing parent like stuff. It was a calmy day for the family.

Few hours after, 13H46, the letterman came delivering some letters. And among one of then was a letter of acceptance into (Squarenic High School) SQHS for the cadet. Overjoyed, she could finally search for a path away from her family. She purposedly did that because it was cheaper than any other high school and really far far away from where she stayed. Her family faking happiness decided to rent a grande salle to throw a party. But of course, it was just an excuse to show how perfect they were.

-"(Mother, Fleur) [Talking over phone]---Yeah.. Tell everyone that we are preparing a surprise party for our lovely V. She got accepted to a private high school. I want to give her a lot of love so that when she is alone, she won't be sad..You understand, right."

Ready to go (was forced to), the cadet stopped by the room of her parents and listened to her mother speaking. She heard her saying words that could kill any normal person. But ths cadet did not flinched. She was indifferent to it. And as soon as she realised that, she sobbed inside. Pain and sad thoughts summoned into her heads. Stalled by near movements, she hid herself behind some undo laundry.

-"(Father, Vaine) Dear, I must go help Danny with the truck. I will take B with me. Take V and go eat something,okay. Love you.."

Meanwhile, the cadet used that moment to get away and locked herself in her room. On her knees, she put both hands in front of her mouth. Minimising the sound she let out, she did not want her family to really see her weak side. She was crying. She was crying because for the first time in forever, her mother called her lovely and threw a party for her. Tears of joy flowed down her cheeks. For too long, the cadet could not cry and that one moment was the perfect occasion to finally let it out. Few minutes later, her mother picked her up and they could finally drove away. Stopped by a restaurant, they went eating. And the news suddenly came in on info channel99 on the TV. Not paying attention to it, It said that a bus crashed into several cars and that there were a few dead. And one the cars involved in the accident was the car of B and her father was in. They were announced as dead. Finished eating, V and her mother drove to la grande salle where hundred of guests were waiting. Arrived, they got out and started walking towards the doors. When,----
