3 The Only Plan *Rewritten

(Lucy POV)

Before I went back to the house I called Michael to see what he wanted to eat I wasn't going to cook tonight. In the end I went to Fazoli's because that was Zack's favorite fast food restaurant. After I walk through the door I put the food and slime catalog on the kitchen table. Zack was on Michael's lap watching SpongeBob when I told them I was home with food.

"Oh thanks hun oh right you didn't see Zach eat this morning didn't you?"

"No?"

Michael put Zack on the kitchen table then grab a container that contained Zacks chicken alfredo and just completely dumped it on him.

"Michael What the f*** are you doing?!"

"Just watch."

The food that was on Zach's head was easily dissolved into his body, the food that was on the table around Zach's body was dissolved when he crawled over it of course it did take him a bit but he still did it. That just makes me have more questions about his quirk like why didn't he dissolve the blanket that was over his head this morning? And why isn't he dissolving the table? In fact I think he's cleaning it he's getting rid of old stains we could never wipe away! Does that mean he can control what he dissolves?

"I see what you mean that is surprising but you didn't need to dump it on him!"

" What? It not like its hurting him or anything?"

"That doesn't mean you had to completely dump it on him next time just slowly scoop it into him!"

"I ummm I'm sorrry."

Zach was hopping up and down again like he was this morning things don't really change even if he is a slime.

"Sweetheart I'm going to take a little walk with your father after dinner he.he.hee."

*gulp*

He hopped once so I know he understands.

"Oh you're so smart much smarter than your father."

He started hopping up and down again hehe too easy. After dinner I picked Zack up and put him in front of the TV in the living room and had him watch or listen to "The Thundermans" while we're on the walk.

"We'll be back in 20 or 30 minutes before the show ends ok?"

"Hehe see you soon."

He hopped once so cute it doesn't matter if he's a slime or in his human form. After I grabbed the slime catalog we left for our "walk". There's a park 5 minutes away from our house so we went there and sat on a bench. I told him everything that the doctor told me what will happen to Zack after we're gone and how he might lose his humanity.

"No! No! No! I won't let that happen to him!"- Michael

"My thoughts exactly but what are we gonna do?"- Lucy

".....I don't know."- Michael

A few moments moments of silence before Michael spoke again.

"Where's the catalog?"

He was took his sweet dear time reading the slime catalog about 10 minutes. I don't know if I'm going to be able to keep my promise to Zack but I can't give up. Something seemed to have caught his eye on one of the pages. I wonder what it is?

'Kids that developed a slime quirk can dissolve anything in their bodies but soon loses this ability after they've lost everyone they've loved.....Latest studies shown they don't even need oxygen to survive we don't know what keeps them alive...Slimes like to retain information, they retain information by the use of books. When they're retaining information they glow usually when they stop glowing they'll spit out the book meaning that they're done with it they won't allow the same book to go back in their body. Questions like "Why the book doesn't dissolve?" Or "Why don't they allow the same book in there body?" We have no clue. Some speculate it's because they're respecting the book.'

"That's it that's how we'll save him!"- Michael

"What?! How?!"

"It's more of a theory, as you know a Slime Quirk loves to learn information. So what else likes to learn so much information?"

"I don't know."

"A self-learning A-I."

"How can a A-I help Zack?"

"He won't be alone."

"Okay smart guy how are we gonna get an A-I in him?"

"A chip."

"Why would that work? The pamphlet said nothing about a chip helping them retain information!"

"As I say again, it's just a theory. I'm completely sure no one has tested it. It just seems like to me slimes love learning from knowledge based....Items?"

"You don't seem confident at all.. So? Are you gonna make one?"

".....I've already have.."

"Then why don't you use it?!"

"It's not mine to use."

"What do you mean?"

"It's owned by AxePlay it's what I've been working on for the last 3 years." (TCL I made this up. I don't know if it's a true company or not)

"?!"

I'm shocked I don't know what to say. He's been working on a self learning AI for years? Not a video game? Is that even legal?

"I don't give a shit about AxePlay I'll take the chip and get another chip to copy it. The A-I itself probably won't help him much in the future so I'm gonna need to change some major components in the A-I. I could even make him stronger but a body is what he needs now. A lot more changes will be made of course. If I get found out I could be sent to prison.... I got to do it I don't want him to live that life."

Michael's muttering pretty scary stuff I don't want him to go to prison I don't think I could do this without him.

"Is their another way?"

"....No it took me 3 years to complete that A-I with a team of 12 people. If I try to make a new A-I from scratch it'll take me around 6 years probably longer. We don't have the time for that, we could die before I can complete it. Not because of old age of course but In case something would happen as in a accident. I ain't no genius It'll waste too much time."

He's absolutely right we don't know our future we could die tomorrow even.

"How long will it take for you to finish the A-I?"

"I'm going to be working alone so the longest a year if I hurry maybe eight months."

"What are you gonna do?"

"I'm going to request to take it home for last-minute editing then fully copy it to another chip it'll take about 4 hours to completely copy."

"What's the name of the A-I anyway?"

"The Great Sage."
