44 Soundless

----Before I need to mention this...This is him feeling the eusocial warning from last chapters evo quirk notes...To the chapter....-----

After waking up I felt...Oddly different. I heard no sound and everything was completely and utterly soundless. I also woke up with a massive fucking headache. Like everything could go wrong in my head at once, was this the feeling of some kind of evolutionary change from my quirk.

i tried to call out to Rumi or just speak my absolute discomfort, but no sound was made. After a second later it was like the whole fucking world snapped together and I nearly threw up. I heard Rumi cussing up a storm. Once it sounded like she recovered she opened up her door. While I dragged myself up and around the corners of the house.

"What the hell was that!??!"

I looked at her with the same pain she was showing. However she had shoved a blanket into her ears and was holding them to her head. "Do you mean the silence then snap to sudden sound? Yeah, I noticed that too."

She took the blanket from her ears. "I feel like my head just exploded. Des, do you have any idea what that was from. Turn on the news and see if some kind of sound wave occurred. They must be covering something like that."

That didn't really sound plausible, but I followed her instruction anyway. The news was simply talking about the sudden collection of organized crime.

"There's nothing, I don't think it even happened anywhere else. I don't hear anything outside. I would expect our neighbors to be freaking out as well."

She came around the corner with a few cotton balls to rub the inside of her ears with. "Well whatever that was it doesn't seem to have damaged our ears. However it sure as hell feels terrible."

I nodded falling back to the couch. I sighed and started to absorb the surrounding energy when suddenly the sound, Tv, and the lights around the house just went out. Everything was gone. I suddenly felt Rumi grab a hold of me and hugging me close. I slowly realized I could feel each of her muscles move and the tensing of her body. She was slightly shaking, and so was I. When suddenly we both collapsed as everything came back.

She started puking onto the carpeted floor, I almost protected my stomach but the sounds of her throwing up made me sick enough to puke as well.

It took several minutes for either of us to move let alone speak. That feeling was complete deprivation of almost all senses. "I-I think that was me Rumi..."

"Wh-Wha?"

"I started to absorb the surrounding light, but... well then that happened."

"How in the fucking hell would that have caused ALL SOUND AND LIGHT TO VANISH DES?!"

She was clearly feeling sick, she also looked...scared? "Are you alright?"

"Huh? Oh, right. My body just reacted on its own. If that's what it is like to be blind and deaf. I want you to kill me if I ever go blind and deaf at the same time."

I nodded, "I can agree, but I think it was just the suddenness of the absent of light and sound."

"Like that makes a different. I never felt like that before, it was awful."

"You look scared..." Rumi was still shaking and I was still a little tense.

"I might be, I can normally see somewhat in the dark, but that was...Nothingness. Oh boy...I don't think I can go to work today."

"Well its friday...So uhh...Rumi can I not go to school if you aren't gonna go to work."

"I-I don't think i give a shit."

She got up and moved towards the kitchen slowly. "Actually first let's clean the puke up. Then...Fuck. I am gonna regret this, we need to get that under control. Do you think you can separate absorbing the different energies."

"Rumi...The TVs off."

"Huh? Why does that matter?"

"It means I took the electricity as well. So no, I don't think i can."

"Fuck, that's gonna look bad on my power bill. Whatever, we can go to the park or something. D-Did your area of absorption increase?"

I nodded, but she was turned around so I replied instead. "Yeah, Yeah. I think it did. How did you recover so quickly Rumi."

She came over with some cleaner and towels. "Well I have been flashbanged many times. That shit hurts, what just happened was like a...reverse flashbang so I feel...okayish."

I grabbed a towel and the bottle she had set down. "Rumi...Am I gonna be flash banged as part of my hero training?"

She nodded with the pain in her eyes. Apparently she was flashed banged enough times for it to be a painful memory. She looked at me..."Hopefully that only due that in your third year. By then, honestly with your abilities you should be fine."

I sighed and went back to cleaning the puke. This was gonna be a long day. "R-Rumi... I don't think we can train in the park."

"huh? why?"

"Area of affect, we might get in trouble..."

"Riiiigghht...Shit. I guess we can head into the mountain area behind UA? It is Friday, w-we can go camping and suffer through complete sensory deprivation together."

I smiled, feeling a little bold. "That sounds like a terrible date Rumi."

She started to burst out laughing, "HAHA! Yes, a date it is! I did tell you to do more... I guess we can...Test that too."

I knew what she meant and I was certainly happy with that possibility. Sex in the woods with quite frankly one of the hottest woman I knew. Sounded pretty fucking good. However first we would likely need to suffer through the constant removal of sound and light first. I still felt like my head was spinning.
