39 The Sisterly***

I thought about going to the library, but I stopped at a cafe. I had to admit I was actually pretty hungry. We had a break during class to eat some food from the cafeteria. However I was interrupted as Katie sat down at my table.

She smiled, "Lovely place this is."

I stared at her as she sat down. "I don't believe we have any business why are you here?"

She made a fake gasp. "Here I thought you were perhaps dating my sister. Unless you plan on banging multiple girls, what a dirty boy."

I bit into the muffin I had bought and just continued staring at her. She gave up, "Come now don't be like this. She took out a cigarette and was about to light it when the employee shouted, "No smoking! Do it outside."

She scoffed and put it away. "Those kill you."

She smirked, "So does oxygen, nitrogen and the sunlight everybody lives under. That's not what I am here for kiddo. I want to offer you a job. Something nice and simple. You even get to kill some villains and maybe even the boy who ruined your lovely family?"

I felt myself tense up, I was ready to attack her and she noticed. However I responded to her instead. "I don't trust you. You are beyond suspicious."

She faked a gasp again and continued in a sarcastic tone. "I'm hurt! I'm betrayed! However, that's fair enough. What can I do to show my sincerity?"

I said nothing, but she sighed. "Look I am on your side or specifically the side that Jess is on. So I want to make sure you don't bring any extra baggage into a relationship." She gasped, "You want my body don't you?"

I ignored her tricks, none of her words seemed sincere. She also went back and forth with her methods. It was as if she wanted to make me distrust her more. I wasn't very sure what her goals were.

I sighed, "What do you want?"

Katie frowned and then replaced it with a smile, "I just can't seem to get a read on you. Your eyes follow other girls as they walk past us. Yet when you look at me you look directly into my eyes. Despite the amount of cleavage I was showing. I thought you would want to have a fun state of mind. However perhaps my time in I-island and America is rubbing off on me."

She shrugged, "So let's cut to the chase. I don't want your help. However my employer wants me to try and persuade you. So what can I offer you so you can come with me?"

I frowned, I didn't like how she phrased her words.I shook my head, "Nothing, Please leave."

Katie shook her head, "Fair enough, you don't want me here. I can understand that. However before I go let's talk about my sister a little more. I did a DNA test once upon a time, can you guess what I figured out?"

I stayed silent and she rolled her eyes, "Jess is my half sister. My mother cheated on my father with his own brother. Some real soap opera type stuff. If you can register her name separately and get her identified as an illegitimate child. Well, her court case will be easy enough. Here I will write that down for ya."

She sighed, "That's the only help you are getting from me. Just say don't complain if we meet again in the future."

Katie stood up and left. I watched her take out another cigarette to smoke as she left. I sighed, shoved the rest of my food into my mouth, took the note Katie had left and got up to leave. Katie may make all my hairs stand on in, but the part about Jess might be useful.

As I exited the Cafe a pale man waved. "Hello there!" He looked extremely shady and was smiling. I raised my eyebrows at this man. He smiled and held out his hand.

I guess he wanted a handshake? "I'm sorry, I don't know you."

He nodded, "I would say I hardly know you, Tota Shizen correct?"

I nodded, and he smiled more. "How about a handshake? Best way to get to know a man is his handshake."

I sighed and figured this guy was one of those crazies out there. I took his hand and shook it. However he began doing some fancy handshake movements ending in a pat on the back. "Nice to meet you Tota Shizen. I hear your family were good people and I wish you luck in life."

I paused and he walked away. He just…walked away, away…

<Forced activation...{Mental Resistance minor created due to memory altering quirk.}>

I blinked and I realized the man had used his quirk on me. I looked down at my hands and they seemed fine. I quickly realized it was some kind of memory based quirk. My talk with Katie was fuzzy, but I could recall the details if I tried.

Did those two know each other? What was that about? I took out the note Katie made about Jess. They did know each other, Katie knew he would memory wipe me or whatever it was his quirk actually did.

I paused, "Should I make a police report?"

I scratched my head in thought. I looked at my hands again. I think my quirk activated without me falling asleep there. I couldn't really control my quirk, just the things it creates. I scratched my head again. I headed toward the police station, I'll at least make a statement.

----So I condensed the chapters Sisterly duties pt 1 pt 2 and Plot holes fuck me. These were chapters 34-36 before the chapter rewrites. Obviously I also moved it.-----
