10 Chapter 10: Finish Fishing Trip
"So, for how much will you fish today?" Nejire asked him with interest in her voice.
She knew Izuku and Inko saved almost all the money they earned and only bought the most necessary things.
Combined with the money they gained from Izuku's father that still had to pay for him, it shouldn't be that few.
"We had some unexpected expenses with the lawyer that we needed once for the case with my father, and sadly, we even lost in court, so my father doesn't need to pay anything anymore, so we are at around 2.553.400 yen. So that means 17.000$. I will probably open the last three advanced and then four Intermediate." Izuku answered a bit sadly at the part with his father.
He knew if the apartment of him and his mother wasn't already paid it would be even less money than now.
"Wait?! When did that happen? How could that asshole that left you and your mother when you were declared quirkless win the case?! Why didn't you tell me?!" Nejire said out loud in a fit of anger that was so unlike her.
"I am just a quirkless normalo so why should he give money to something like me. Sadly, That was his defense, with the judge thinking the same way he was declared not needing to pay for me anymore. We could surely go in front of the court once more and even get another judge, but in the end, we declined since we knew that many people thought like that judge, and we didn't want to waste any more money on it. Sorry, I didn't want to include you in our drama. Don't worry, in the future, I will tell you everything. I know that it was my fault for not telling you..." Izuku said sadly while throwing out his fishing line with four intermediate baits.
He didn't want Nejire to think he was a loser, so he didn't tell her initially.
His mother said Nejire would never think that of him, and Izuku also knew, but he still didn't tell her in the end.
Nejire looked at the sad-looking Izuku and couldn't help but snuggle into his side.
"Well. At least you know it yourself. Next time, tell me something like that!" She knew she had no right to know when Izuku didn't want her to, but in the end, she still wanted to be by his side when something bad happened to him.
Some rare quiet minutes later, the first result came out with the animation again filling the sea before them.

"Universal Panacea? Couldn't you sell that for a lot of money?! Let's sell it when we come home. I am sure you can get some money for your next baits!" Nejire said happily, momentarily forgetting about Izuku's father.
Izuku nodded to Nejire while pulling out the strengthening pill, only to eat it instantly.
He could feel the weird energy flowing through his body again, but this time, it was even more relaxing.
After some seconds, the feeling of the pill faded, and after playing a bit with his hand and legs, he could roughly gauge how much stronger he was.
It was not an accurate measurement, but it was better than nothing.
"And how is it?" Nejire asked, shockingly less talkative than before.
'She probably still thinks about my dad.' Izuku thought to himself.
"Well, I should be five times stronger than before! This feeling is really wonderful." Izuku said happily, not bothering to wait to throw the line of his fishing rod out into the sea again, this time with three advanced baits simultaneously.
He could probably fish every one of them separately but was a bit scared to do that.
Izuku didn't dare to delay too much because he could already see helicopters flying around his head, probably to see what phenomenon was currently happening at sea.
He wanted to leave as fast as possible.
Some minutes later, and now for the last time this day, the sea changed colors and turned into a field full of stars, only for three of the stars to be picked out by a fishing rod.

When the results came out Izuku couldn't help but smile at what he got.
Looking at Nejire's waiting eyes, he instantly told her what he got, and after he explained, she screamed.
"Devil Fruits really exist! What are you waiting for?! Pull out the fruit! Combined with the lucky potion you used at the start of the fishing, I am sure you will get a good fruit! Maybe you can get the Gomu Gomu no Mi, Hie Hie no Mi, or one of the other good fruits!" She said happily, not stopping to recall the strong fruits that exist in the One Piece world.
"Okay, Okay. Wait for a minute. Let's leave before that since I already saw some of the helicopters facing our way some seconds ago." Izuku said to the excited Nejire, who couldn't stop to recount some of the Devil fruits she knew.
On the way to Izuku's home, Nejire couldn't stop talking about Devil Fruits and what he could get.
After arriving at his home, Izuku decided to wait for his mother to come home.
He knew that the lucky potion would still go for the whole day, and he also knew that his mother wanted to see the moment her kid got an ability he was sure she wanted to know for what she worked so hard every day.
Before that, he still crushed the Observation Haki card and made himself more comfortable with the ability.
He could already feel the whole apartment through the ability, but he knew he still needed to train it to a higher level.
The Haki was also quickly depleting his physical strength.
Sitting beside him on the couch was a still-talking Nejire who recalled different abilities and how he could train them in the future, even though she still didn't know what ability he would get.
She was a bit miffed at the fact that he wanted to wait for his mother to come home since it would still be hours, but she could understand why he would do that.
