5 Quirk Apprehension Test

"Welcome Arthur, you made it, you are now part of the hero academia!" All Might said, staring straight at the camera with his signature smile. "Your father would be very proud of you." He said as the message ended causing me to freeze.

-No One's POV-

The night after they got their acceptance letters All Might reached out to Midoriya telling him to come to the beach that evening and to bring Arthur if he can. Arthur, who was simply going to spend the night with a carton of Rocky Road ice cream and watching internet videos, was glad to get out of the apartment. Before he left his place Arthur threw on his usual casual wear that consisted of a purple camo pullover hoodie, brown cargo shorts, and a pair of purple canvas hightops.

As they neared the beach they just spent the last ten months cleaning, Midoriya started running excited to see All Might again. When they rounded the corner they saw All Might standing at the waterfront in his true form wearing only a white button down shirt that was tucked into a pair of green cargo pants.

"Hi All Might!" Midoriya yelled with tears in his eyes as he ran up to the man.

"Too loud kid!" All Might was surprised by this reaction and started spitting up blood. There was a couple enjoying the sea on the pier close by that started looking around for said hero not realizing he was right there. "Way to go blowing my cover kid, hurry say it was a mistake!" He quietly yelled at Midoriya. Arthur briskly walked up putting an arm around Midoriya's shoulder laughing loudly.

"Man, Izuku that's a good one! Why would THE All Might be around this place let alone at this time of night?!" Arthur laughed out pretending it was a joke. As the couple turned back around Arthur dropped the act and gave a quick slap to the back of Midoriya's head. "Smooth moves." He further chastised.

"*sigh* Anyway, congrats on getting in you two." All Might said with a smile on his face.

"I couldn't have done it without you!" Midoriya exclaimed, not taking the compliment.

"Just so you know I didn't tell anyone at UA I've been training you boys. I wasn't one of the judges or pulled any strings. You boys did it all on your own." All Might said dismissing any suspicion of special treatment.

"*relieved sigh* I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about that." Arthur said running his hand threw his crew cut hair. Even though his aunt was a pro herself Arthur wanted to get in on his own merit.

"Oh that reminds me. I'm really glad to hear you will be teaching at UA." Midoriya said. "I Was wondering what brought you here all of a sudden. After all you agency is in Minato, Tokyo where everyone kno-"

"Getting creepy!" All Might interrupted Midoriya before he started on one of his tangents. "The school didn't want me telling anyone about the job until they made an official announcement. It was gratuitous timing, an easy way to find someone to inherit One For All." When he said this Midoriya looked down at his hands.

"...Your power completely wrecked my body. All I did was jump and throw one punch! I can't control it, what do I do?" Midoriya asked his mentor.

"Granted it was one hell of a punch." Arthur said with a chuckle as he crossed his arm and walked over to a nearby rock taking a seat.

"You'll learn to handle it in time. Asking you to master it now would be like asking a baby to run a marathon. You're still going through the process of learning how to walk. Something you need to remember, Young Midoriya, is this power is yours now and with great power comes great responsibility." All Might said, calming the boy's worries.

"Wait, you knew I was going to get hurt like that?!" Midoriya asked, slightly panicking about his teacher's recklessness .

"I mean, you have no one to blame but yourself, Izuku. You were in somewhat of a time crunch because of your little stunt of overworking yourself." Arthur said with a dry chuckle.

"Yeah and it did turn out alright, plus now you know what you're dealing with." All Might agreed with the boy. "Right now it's either all or nothing, give it time and you'll be able to put out the right amount of power for the job at hand." he continued as he picked up two gas canisters from the sand.

"We just cleaned this damn beach." Arthur thought with a tick mark on his head upon seeing the litter.

"So all I need's control?" Midoriya asked with hope that he wasn't going to always be a one hit wonder.

"Yes, right now your body is overflowing with energy and with training your body will learn to hold it better." All Might explained as he shifted into his muscle form and crushed the canisters easily. "Then it's yours to command!" he finished.

"Look it really is All Might!" Random Couple couple from earlier still being there exclaimed. "No way, where did he come from?!"

"Smooth." Arthur deadpanned while he looked over his shoulder as he got up with his hands in his front pocket and started running.

"We should follow his lead!" All Might said following close behind Arthur with Midoriya falling in line soon after. After they got out of sight they said their goodbyes and the boys walked home.

Timeskip

Soon enough April came and with it the school year started. The night before their first day, Inko made Arthur promise he would come over before they left so she could make sure he had a proper breakfast. As the boys were getting ready to leave at the door Inko was going over a checklist of their supplies.

"You boys all set?" Inko she asked.

"Yeah/Yes ma'am" Midoriya and Arthur answered at the same time.

"Are you sure, you didn't just pack action figures right Izuku?" Inko asked her son.

"I have everything." Midoriya replied, getting a little annoyed and then turned his head to the snickering from Arthur.

"And you mister, did you remember to pack your supplies? We don't need a repeat of last time." Inko asked, turning to Arthur. He went to answer, but before he did he quickly turned around and rooted though his faded blue messenger bag to make sure.

"Yep all here!" Arthur said as he turned back around with a thumbs up.

"We gotta go or we're going to be late." Midoriya said as he walked to the door opening it.

"Izuku..." Inko said, making the boys stop and turn around. "I'm really proud of you." She said looking like she was going to cry. "And you too, Arthur." She said looking up at the teen. Both boys gave her confident smiles as they walked out. "Make sure to stay out of trouble!" Inko called out before the door shut.

"No promises!" Arthur said as the door closed behind him.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They soon got to the school and as they ran up the steps Arthur thought about how the acceptance rate was the same small margine it had always been, but their class consisted of 21 instead of the usual 20. The boys eventually came to their classroom, Class 1A.
"That's one huge door. Are there giants here?" Midoriya said in awe.
"Well, at least I won't bump my head everyday." Arthur said as he had a sweatdrop on his head.
"The top students in the country are behind this door." Midoriya said, attempting to physic himself up. As he opened the door he and Arthur heard shouting come out. Arthur pinched the bridge of his nose seeing who it was.
"Take your feet off that desk now!" The blue haired boy from the exam ordered.
"Huh?" Bakugo replied with a shit eating grin on his face.
"It is only the first day and you are already disrespecting school property, you criten!" the boy exclaimed.
"You're kidding me right, your old school put a stick up your ass or were you born with it?" Bakugo crudely asked, clearly irritating the boy before he composed himself.
"Let us start over. I'm Tenya Iida from Somei Private Academy." Iida said introducing himself.
"Somei, so you think you're better than me?" Bakugo asked with a snarl. "I'm gonna have fun tearing you a new one." He finished surprising Iida.
"You would threaten me, your own classmate, are you sure you're in the right place?!" Iida asked the cocky boy and heard a chuckle from the doorway drawing both of their attention.
"Sadly yes, he is in the right place." Arthur said with his arms crossed and a glare in his eyes.
"Dirt for brains." Bakugo said as he glared back.
"Anger Management." Arthur quickly retorted, making Bakugo's galre intensify.
"It's them." Iida said, drawing all the attention of the class to the pair in the door. As Midoriya started getting flustered with the attention while Arthur turned to the class and gave a two fingered salute and a wiley smile.
"Good morning!" Iida greeted as he marched up to them. "My name is Tenya Iida an-"
"W-we know." Midoriya stuttered out, saving him the trouble of introducing himself again causing him to pause midstep. "I'm Izuku Midoriya, it's super nice to meet you." He greeted.
"Arthur Carnell, pleasure's mine." Arthur said as he held his hand out to which Iida gladly took, enjoying Arthur's attitude over Bakugou's.
"You two realized there was more to the practical exam, didn't you?" Iida asked as he stood at attention. "You must be very perceptive and I completely misjudged you both. I admit as a student you are far superior." He said, attempting to apologize.
"I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but we didn't know of the rescue points until after the fact." Arthur explained. "We were just trying to help someone in trouble." He said with a closed eye smile. Iida looked at him and felt as if his heroic spirit was called into question, but it was the first day so he let it go.
"Hey I'd recognize that messed up hair!" a voice said from behind the boys. The pair turned around to see it was the girl from the exam, but as they did Midoriya's face grew beet red. "You guys were so cool with those rocks, and that punch was like!" She said as she enthusiastically made a punching gesture attempting to mimic what Izuku did. Arthur looked at the exchange and laughed to himself. As Arthur stopped laughing and turned to look into the classroom he caught Bakugou staring at them and he remembered the exchange after the exams.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"I can't believe we have not just one, but three students going off to UA. And to think you're one of them Midoriya, it's a miracle." The principle said as the three stood in his office.

After they left the office Arthur went to go get his bag before leaving for their break. As he closed his locker he saw Bakugo dragging Midoriya out behind the school so he decided to follow. As he got to where they were he hid behind the corner listening in on the confrontation.

"What did you do to pass the exam, you must have cheated somehow right?!" Bakugo demanded as he grabbed Midoriya by the collar of his shirt. "I was supposed to be one of the only students from this crappy school to make it to UA and you had to go and screw that all up. I warned you not to apply!" He yelled as he shook Midoriya.

Before Arthur could move in the stop this before it escalated any further Midoriya grabbed the hand Bakugou had on his shirt.

"...Kachan, someone I look up to told me that I can become a hero. It's why I applied, It's why I'm going. Like it or not you can't stop me!" Midoriya said with an uneasy voice and a spark in his eye. Bakugou let go, pushing Midoriya away.

"Just get out of here!" Bakugo shouted at him. As Midoriya briskly walked away to get his bag and find Arthur, the boy kept quiet until Bakugou walked past.

"You can try all you want to stop him, but he'll get right back up swinging." Arthur said as he stopped leaning on the wall getting Bakugou's attention.

"What the hell did that nerd do in the exam?!" Bakugou growled and demanded to know.

"He passed, that's what he did." Arthur said as he walked past the ash haired boy to go find Midoriya. "He's on your heels, get ready." he said, not looking back at Bakugou as he rounded the corner out of sight.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the memory finished, both boys looked away from each other. Arthur turned his attention back to the conversation in the doorway only to see a very scruffy looking man in a sleeping bag he immediately recognized.
"Aizawa, what's he doing here?" Arthur thought as the man's voice got his attention.
"If you're just here to make friends then you can pack up your stuff now." Aizawa said coldly. Iida, Midoriya, and the brown haired girl turned to look down at the man laying on the floor. "Welcome to UA's hero course." He said in his monotone voice as he sipped a juice box he pulled from his sleeping bag. The three had looks of horror as they looked at the disheveled man. "It took 8 seconds for you all to shut up. That's not going to work, time is precious. Rational students would understand that." He said as he stood up from his sleeping bag. "Hello I'm Shota Aizawa, your homeroom teacher." He announced as he addressed the whole class. Most of the class was surprised by this except for Arthur, who's smile only grew wider. "All right let's get to it, put these on and head outside." he said as he pulled UA P.E. uniforms out of his sleeping bag.
As he handed out the ones that needed to be modified Arthur walked up to grab his. Arthur's was not too different than his top was sleeveless as to accommodate his quirk better. Why the legs aren't the same made no sense to Arthur.
"It's nice to see you again sir. It's been awhile." Arthur greeted with a hearty smile.
"Just get outside Carnell." Aizawa replied with a bored expression.
"Yes sir!" Arthur said, giving a mocking salute and marching away, making Aizawa huff in exhaustion already. The class separated to change and regathered outside on a track field.
"A quirk apprehension test?" The entire class asked in unison.
"But what about orientation, we're going to miss it." The brown haired girl said.
"If you really wanna make the big leagues you can't waste time on pointless ceremonies. Here at UA we're not tethered to traditions." Aizawa said as he turned his head to the side to look at the class. "That means I get to run my class however I see fit." he said intimidatingly. "You've been taking standardized tests all your lives, you never got to use your quirks in physical exams before." he stated holding up a device displaying the tests they are about to take. "The country is still trying to pretend we are all equal by not letting those with the more powerful quirks excel, it's not rational, one day the ministry of education will learn." he informed the class. "Bakugou, you managed to get the most points in the practical exam. What was the farthest distance you could throw a softball in Junior High?" he asked the air haired bomb.
"67 meters, I think." Bakugo answered his teacher.
"Right, now try doing it with your quirk." Aizawa said as he threw him a ball and pointed to the circle behind him. "Anything goes, just stay in the circle. Go on you're wasting our time." He instructed.
"Alright then, you asked for it." Bakugo said with a bored expression as he started doing stretches. "DIE!" He yelled with a devious smile as he threw the ball with a massive explosion behind it. It was quite impressive actually.
"Was that necessary?" Arthur thought to himself.
"All of you need to know your maximum capabilities." Aizawa said as the device beeped and showed the score of 705.2 meters, "It's the most rational way to measure your potential as a pro hero." He explained to the class.
The class began to murmur about how fun the test was going to be. Arthur stayed quiet along with a girl with black hair in a fancy ponytail and a heterochromic boy with different dual colored hair.
"So this looks fun, huh?" Aizawa asked, sounding very annoyed causing the class to go silent. "You have three years to become heros. You think it's gonna be games and playtime?" He asked. "Idiots. Today you'll compete in 8 physical tests to gauge your potential. Whoever comes in last will have none and will be expelled immediately." He informed the class with a creepy grin on his face. This completely shocked the class apart from a few. The reasons they were not varied between they are confident they wouldn't fail or knew it is just a lie.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

-Arthur's POV-

There is no way anyone who becomes a teacher would simply expel a student who falls behind without giving help first. In this line of work that's an easy way to both lose a hero and gain a villain if they fall into the wrong hands. It must be a ploy to get everyone to take this seriously, but then again knowing Aizawa he may actually do.

"Like I said I get to decide how this class runs, understand?" Aizawa said to the class with a glare so no one would question him. "If you don't like it you can head home right now." He finished earning mixed reactions from the class. I looked over to Midoriya worriedly seeing the same look on his face.

"Sink or swim I have to do it on my own." Izuku's words went through my head again when I tried to think of a way to help him. I faced forward intending to keep that promise, but still concerned.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-No One's POV-
"You can't just send one of us home, I mean even if it wasn't the first day it's not fair." The brown haired girl said. Before Aizawa could scold her he was beaten to the punch.
"Life isn't fair." Arthur said from the back with a dead tone in his voice similar to Aizawa's, causing the class to look back at him. "...Life doesn't care if you're good, bad, or something in between it's going to bash your head in either way, eventually. It's what we are training to do, overcome life's obstacles and be heroes for those that can't." He said while staring at Aizawa remembering what he told him years ago.
"But-" she went to argue, but was stopped when Arthur turned his head to meet her eyes.
"Bad things happen everyday. Disasters happen to people that did nothing to deserve it...Good people's lives are taken every day by something someone could have stopped." Arthur finished as his glare turned into a distant gaze before shaking it away.
"Arthur..." Midoriya thought to himself as he looked at his friend.
"He's absolutely right." Aizawa pointed out, gaining everyone's attention. "If you want to be a pro you want to push yourself to the brink. For the next three years UA will throw one hardship after another at you. So go beyond "Plus Ultra" style. Show me it's no mistake that you're here." He finished more or less challenging the class.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

-Arthur's POV-

Test one was a 50 meter dash. I watched my classmates line up to start. The first up were Iida and a girl with dark green hair and frog like features. They both got into a sprinter's pose and waited for the machine to signify them to start. When the machine said to begin they both took off with force. Iida launched forward with his engines pushing him faster as he ran. What the frog girl did was closer to hopping then to running, but it was effective either way.

I saw him going faster before at the exam, he must need time to speed up. The frog girl must have a mutation quirk. I wonder what else she can do. Both finished with impressive scores with Iida coming in first. The next test was between the brown haired girl and a boy with a tail.

The brunette obviously must have an emitter quirk because she seems to simply be running normally and that boy's tail must be prehensile with how he is using it to launch himself like a springboard. The next test continued with sparkle boy and the pink girl. I wasn't interested in him because he did the same thing in the exam and the pink girl ran normally, but with excellent form. The next test had me concerned as I worried about how Izuku was going to do in the exams if he breaks his limbs everytime he uses OFA, but he ran normally. Bakugo did what I expected and used explosions to propel himself in the air.

"My power has more uses than anyone else's in the school." Bakugo said like it was a fact.

God what I wouldn't do to knock him down a few pegs. I thought, but refrained from saying. The tests went on until everyone had gone but me making me realize all eyes will be on me because I had to go alone.

Just breathe, all eyes will be on you. Just give 'em a show. I told myself as I lined up. I closed his eyes and took a deep breath in.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-No One's POV-
When Arthur breathed out some of the students saw the noticeable shift in his eyes and stance going from a carefree attitude to one far more serious with piercing eyes and a firm look. Most would say it was down right intimidating. Arthur took his stance and waited for the robot to release him. When he got the go ahead he took off faster than most of the class thought he would for someone as big as him. Arthur didn't run so much as he surfed on a flat rock under his feat. The ground moved and bulged like water under his feet, but he lost concentracion as he neared the end losing his balance as he stumbled over the finish line.
"He has the right idea, but his technique and focus are far below what they should be." Aizawa thought as he looked at the score of 3.82 seconds.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

-Arthur's POV-

As we moved onto the second test everyone grabbed a grip machine and spread out. I was excited to see what I could do with my quirk. Last time I had to do this kind of thing was when I was 14 or so and got 72.1 kg, which I personally thought was pretty damn good for my age. I got my grip machine and went over to Izuku. As I got closer I heard him talking to himself.

"Okay, just keep the egg from blowing up." Izuku said to himself as I walked up.

"I still can't believe that's what you went with." I said with a smirk, surprising him.

"AHH. Oh it just you Arthur." He said with a sigh of relief. "And what's wrong with it?!" He asked after processing the insult.

"It's just so...bland." I said pausing part way through to think of a good word.

"That's what All Might said as well." Izuku said in an increasing depressed tone.

"So are you gonna go or can I go first?" I said trying to get this going.

"Right!" He said, getting his confidence back. He focused on restraining his power as he squeezed the grip. The machine beeped and we both looked at it hoping for the best.

56 kg.

"PFT" I tried to stifle a laugh the best I could, but it still got out.

"Don't laugh!" Izuku cried.

"Okay, okay my turn now." I said as I formed a thin layer of rock around my hand. I always found it weird that having my rock covering parts of my body always gave me such a boost. I tried to slowly grip the machine so I wouldn't strain my hand. As I did, Izuku's attention was drawn to a group in front of us.

"Wow you hit 500 kg, you're such a beast!" a guy with strange elbows said.

"Yeah like a musclely octopus." a short grape haired guy said.

"What the fu-" I accidentally blurted out as that statement broke my concentration and I ended up crushing the tester causing everyone to look my way. I started to panic and ran to go get a broom.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-No One's POV-
As Aizawa watched Arthur scramble, he looked down at the last score the machine recorded before it shattered.
"2423.544 kg?" Aizawa questioned as he looked back up at the teen who was panicking thinking that he would have to pay for the machine.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

-Arthur's POV-

The third test came and it was no different than the others. Like the 50 meter dash most people who could just launched themselves over the sand pit as far as they could and the ones that couldn't tried their best at it. I stood on the line getting ready to do the same move I had used when Izuku and I met All Might. I took a squatting position as if I was going to jump regularly, but as I sprang my knees a pillar of stone shot me into the air over the pit and I landed hard on the other side with a dust cloud. As the dust cleared the students whose attention were drawn saw me stand straight up and stretch.

"*groan* God the landing is always killer on the knees." I said as I stretched . I guess what I did earned some glares in my direction from Bakugou and the boy with dual colored hair.

The forth test was just repeated side steps. Everyone's scores were relatively normal apart from the kid with purple balls as hair, he took some of the balls off and used them to bounce over the line very quickly.

"Does that even count?" I asked Izuku who looked just as confused.

Finally the ball throw test was next. The brown haired girl went first as she just casually threw the ball and it...just left earth's orbit...quite literally. Her quirk must affect the gravity of an object. Holy shit, depending on her limit that can be downright terrifying I thought as Aizawa showed the score of infinity. There...is literally no beating that. I was lost in thought as I stared at the device. It looked like Aizawa was talking and getting irritable. Oh fuck, is he talking to me?

"Carnell!" Aizawa yelled, irritated he was being ignored, earning an uncharacteristic eep from me. "Get your head out your ass and to the circle or you're expelled." He said with a tick mark on his head. Wasting no time I got ready for my throw.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-No One's POV-
As Arthur got ready his demeanor changed again to one far more intimidating. As he felt all eyes on him, he calmed his nerves by saying his mantra.
"Give 'em a show." Arthur said as only those closest to him heard him say while he reeled his arm back. As his arm pulled back it slowly covered itself with a layer of smooth inter connected rocks, that allowed Arthur to still freely move. As the rock reached his shoulder the ball then was covered in a thin layer as well, so Arthur could give it a secondary boost. As he threw the ball with enough force to shatter the layer of stone on it the ball shot upward it an arc for effective distance leaving a dust cloud where the boy was standing. The class was in awe of the raw power because they could not discern what was his quirk and what was his physical strength. Either way they were impressed. Aizawa showed his score when the ball landed out of sight.
702.6 meters.
"HA! Just fell too short to beat me like always, huh Carnell!" Bakugo called out.
"Can it Bakugou before you're the next thing to go flying." Arthur immediately retorted while the rocks covering his arm chipped off as he walked out of the circle with the other hand in his pocket.
"Was that a threat!" Bakugou yelled with a scowl as he made explosions in his hands.
"Oh no of course not!" Arthur said as he waved his hand back and forth in front of his face. "It's a promise...and you know I'm a man of my word." He said with a smirk on his face as he looked over his shoulder.
"That's enough. You're next." Aizawa called out defusing the two before it could escalate and pointed at Midoriya. Midoriya took a new ball as he walked to the circle with a nervous face.
"You got this bud!" Arthur called out showing his support as he stood next to the brunette and Iida.
"If Midoriya doesn't shape up soon he'll be the one going home." Iida stated and unfortunately he's right, Arthur hummed worriedly in his head.
"Huh, what do you mean he's a quirkless loser." Bakugo barked at Iida.
"What are you talking about? He has a quirk, did you not hear what he and Carnell did in the exam?" Iida asked, confused.
"Don't bother Iida, his head is the only thing denser than my rock." Arthur chidded in.
"What was that gravel breath?!" Bakugo yelled, clearly irritated.
"Shhh, watch." Arthur prodded farther as Midoriya started his throw. With a new found determination on his face Midoriya's arm started glowing as he threw the ball.
36 meters.
Arthur facepalmed as Midoriya looked devastated.
"Wha-what happened? I was trying to use it just now?" Midoriya asked, looking at his hands.
"I erased your quirk." Aizawa said, giving Midoriya an intimidating glare as his capture scarf whirled up and grabbed Midoriya. "The judges for this exam were not rational enough." He said. "Someone like you should have never been allowed to enroll at this school." Aizawa said coldly as Arthur fought the urge to defend his friend.
"Wait, you did what to my-" Midoriya asked as he realized who his home room teacher was."Those goggles, I know you!" He stuttered out. "You can look at someone and cancel out their powers, The Eraser hero: EraserHead!" he finished. The class began to murmur as they had never heard of the hero.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

-Arthur's POV-

He tries to avoid the media because he thinks they get in the way so it makes sense they never heard of him.

"You're not ready, you have no control over your power. Do you plan on breaking your bones again and counting on someone else to come help?" Aizawa scolded Izuku.

"No wait that's not-" Izuku tried to say before he was cut off.

"No matter what your intentions are, you would be nothing more than a liability in battle." Aizawa said. I wanted to intervene but Izuku needed to hear this. "You have the same tendencies as another reckless hero I know." He solded. "Even with that drive you're worthless if you can only throw a single punch. I'm sorry, Midoriya there is no way you can become a hero." He continued. I looked to Izuku to see he was almost devastated by this, but then had a determined look.

Come on Midoriya don't let this stop you. I thought as I balled my fists.

"I returned your impractical quirk. Go ahead and make your final throw." Aizawa said as he let Izuku go from the wraps.

"I wonder if our teacher gave him some advice?" Iida asked

"He probably told him to start packing." Bakugo replied

"How the hell did you guys not hear them they're like five feet in front of us?" I asked genuinely confused, getting questioning looks from the two. Izuku stood there thinking what he should do. Suddenly he looked up with conviction in his eyes. "Come on man show 'em who you are!" I shouted for support.

Izuku then drew his arm back, but it wasn't glowing. What are you up to? As I looked closer I saw the last finger Izuku had on the ball glowed with power. He let go of the ball, sending it blasting forward. Everyone was surprised by his new throw, but I had a smile a mile wide.

705.3 m.

"Mr. Aizawa, you see I'm still standing!" Izuku said with a weak smile through the pain of his broken finger.

"This kid." Aizawa said with a slightly creepy smile.
