3 UA preparation

Twelve years, that's how much time he has lived up till this day, there were only three years until the tests began.

Minoru was working so hard ever since that day, that even his grandfather thought that something weird was happening, in fact, he was so worried about his grandson mental and physical health, that he decided to finally live with him, and he regularly took him to make checkups in the hospital, not only that, he was also paying a psychologist to help Minoru, although that wasn't that efficient.

For the psychologist, it felt like Minoru was a mix of two different personalities, a depressive one, and one filled with confidence, either way, they seemed to have a symbiotic relationship as he could clearly see how both parties seemed to help each other. In the end, he diagnosed him with Dissociative identity disorder, if only he knew the truth.

Now that Minoru finally heard his shadow, which he named Blake, as an homage to his previous life, things finally started taking a turn for the better, the medicine he once took in his previous life was now being fully ignored and he had his reasons to do so, they never worked back then and he knew why.

His other self isn't a product of his mind, it wasn't a disease, it was a true someone, a being that accompanied him for as long as he could remember, always advising him in a number of situations, it was difficult to explain but they were indeed one and the same, they had always been somehow.

Minoru himself was more like the head of this weird relationship, but that didn't truly matter, all he knew was that together they were indeed better, they were indeed stronger.

So he never stopped for even a second after that day, whenever he wasn't studying he was training, with his grandfather money it wasn't a problem, since he was a doctor every year he made millions of yens easily, so he could pay for pretty much anything he wanted, books on math, science, physics, software engineering, etc.

He was prepared to do anything to change his reality, and he would do so using anything at his disposal, his first objective was to perfect his body conditions before doing anything more extreme, he knew that worlds such as this one had much more bland rules that didn't really follow reality, modifying the body was incredibly easier here, so he knew he could make changes to himself given enough time so long as he was truly prepared.

The knowledge of his previous life was the greatest motivational booster for this because he had many things he wanted to test, one of them was the super-soldier serum, but the one from marvel based on spiders, the one created by Peter Parker parents and Dr. Connor.

Bioengineering is his most promising bet at changing his miserable start, it all depended on his knowledge, and honestly, Mineta's intelligence was much better than people would give him credit for, the truth was that before accepting himself and his other self, he not even once studied and always managed to stay at the top of his class, always having close to perfect grades in every test.

He could remember researching on the internet that Mineta's intelligence parameters were graded as 5 out of 5, but if he had studied he would probably be even better than Momo based on just what he had experienced after reincarnating in this world, Mineta is possibly the only S+ character in terms of intelligence, everything was really easy using his brain.

He didn't read books, he pretty much devoured the knowledge kept in them, sometimes a single glance would be enough to understand a subject depending on how complex it was.

What really bothered him though was that after studying biology in-depth, more specifically, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, and Exercise physiology, he knew that it would be extremely difficult to improve his body physical prowess, it's not like it's impossible, but he couldn't deny a simple fact, which is his talent in this field.

Thankfully he started his training more than three years before the test to enter UA.

'Huh, this world sure is different from ours, look at those numbers... through sheer training, most of the best fighters can produce between 1.000 to 1.400 kg in a single punch, and that doesn't consider strength-enhancing quirks... and that can go to 1.400 to 1.800 kg in a kick.'

"They sure are strong, but it shouldn't be the limit right? Through genetic editing, we should be able to boost this body to a much superior level if we can isolate the genes responsible for the 'quirks', we might even be able to take this kind of modification to another level."

'Maybe, but with our current knowledge this isn't that easy, without a supercomputer or something to enhance our brain it might take years to develop the correct method, otherwise we risk permanently damaging our DNA.'

Minoru frowned and put the weight he was lifting back to the bench. It has been two years since he started training, he went from 110 lbs to 165 lbs, this how much weight he gained, but this was all well distributed around his body. All of this thanks to his studies that already placed him among the best personal trainers in terms of capabilities.

Thanks to his training he was also starting to stretch a little, he couldn't exactly understand what was causing this, but as far as he could tell, Mineta simply already had the potential to get taller, but his diet and almost non-existent training in the anime held him back a lot, based on his previous visits to the hospital, he might become 1.50 meters tall once he enters UA, and 1.70 to 1.80 after graduating, but that isn't certain, he could grow taller or smaller depending on the circumstances.

And while he wasn't the strongest around, he could already lift 185 at the bench press, but that was quite depressing considering that he needed two years to achieve this using everything he could from legal supplements to a very specific diet and a hellish training, while Midoriya with All Might's help needed only a year to achieve the same results.

Considering this he could pretty confidently say that his body potential was only half of his.

'Don't let that influence you too much, we have science and soon enough technology at our side, something Midoryia will never have to assist him, it doesn't matter if it's bioengineering, genetic editing, body modification, we have a whole path exclusive to us, in fact, while you have been training, I finished revising everything we learned so far in the mind palace, and I believe I know what's the genetic sequence responsible for our level of intelligence, we just need to rent a lab and buy the tools to create the first version of an intelligence serum.

'If everything goes well, our time perception might be enhanced by one hundred percent, and our brain will probably become two hundred percent faster and more capable, we will pretty much develop a pseudo photographic memory.'

"That's really good Blake! Alright, how much money we will need exactly?"

'Honestly... At a bare minimum five hundred thousand dollars if you want to save, but I recommend spending two and a half million dollars and get the best equipment from the beginning.'

Hearing this exorbitant amount of money, Minoru's eyebrow started twitching, he definitely couldn't count on his grandpa to raise all this money, he would have to use his first money-making plan, plagiarism.

'So, you wanna use it? I still think we shouldn't do it, the results would be much better if we already had developed a larger presence in the online community, we will have a hard time being noticed by the larger publishers, especially so considering the best ones are at the other side of the world.'

"Still, it's the easiest way of making money, and we already prepared our pen name, RisingCaos, all that remains is sending them a sample to be reviewed, besides, we just copied down an already edited and revised version of Harry Potter, they will think that I'm a genius writer if they have a functioning brain."

'Sigh... such a wasted opportunity, I guess we don't have any choice in this regard, the only other way around would be to steal from a bank.'

Minoru nodded and after he finished taking his shower he changed his clothes and went back home to prepare everything, he had a basic notion of what he had to legally do in order to publish his book and get the best deal, most of the papers were prepared beforehand in case he needed then sooner.

And just as some sort of sick joke he decided to try first with Bloomsbury, the first editors to publish Harry Potter books back in his previous life. But as he said, he wasn't willing to get a bad deal, if anything he would only accept selling the rights if they agreed to get only 50% of the royalties. Otherwise, he would try to sell those books on his own.

After sending the e-mail to some publishers, the first one to answer was indeed Bloomsbury.

@BloomsburyChiefEditor

[RisingCaos-Sensei sure is an extremely talented writer, we can't express in words how surprised we were after reading this, everyone in the office is talking about your book.

Considering Sensei's ability, I must be sincere, I honestly don't believe there is any work for us to do with it... We would only be publishing the book for you if we were to sign a contract. After speaking with our boss we decided to recommend you to sell the book on your own unless your goal is to use our publisher's reputation to improve your book's sales.

If that is Sensei's objective, then we will gladly do our best to help.

Best wishes.

BloomsburyChiefEditor.]

After reading the whole e-mail, he couldn't say he wasn't surprised, after all, he really thought that they would be trying to take advantage of him, those guys from Bloomsbury were sincere.

In comparison, the others criticized his work, said it was crap, or that there were many errors and that the royalties wouldn't be much if they were to sign a contract.

Foxes indeed, he had heard about how they tried to take advantage of unknown and noobie writers before, but now he could see it with his own eyes.

After replying Bloomsbury chief editor and sending him his requirements for the contract. He waited for some time and smiled seeing that they agreed, now he just had to wait sometime, it would probably take half a year or more until he could raise so much money, and that is only if this book became popular, but he had some confidence on it.

'So, should we start the next step?' Blake appeared behind him lying on the bed, his eyes were wandering across the ceiling.

"Mm, so we need to train Krav Maga, Ninjutsu, and Hyōhō Niten Ichi-ryū Seito."

'Yeah, that will be quite hard without the intelligence serum to improve our learning capabilities, overall it should've taken us 4 years to perfect each style. But with the serum...'

"One and a half year..."

Blake nodded and stood up, he approached Minoru and touched his shoulder, at that moment the world seemed to slow down as everything around them suddenly gained another layer, one that stood above reality somehow and everything became fragmented as they gained a whitish shade.

Then Blake moved his hand and Minoru's DNA structure materialized in front of him.

'These are the changes I designed, see and tell me what you think.'

Minoru nodded and watched as the modifications happened slowly, he watched the sequence, the nucleotides, the strands, etc. In the end, he couldn't help but smile at what they discovered so far, the progress was clear and real, power wasn't just a dream anymore, they could do so much with what they were doing.

Still, he couldn't help but have an uncomfortable feeling in his heart, in those two years he was self-studying and simply doing a test each year to prove he was capable of advancing forward, the only other person he talked to instead of Blake was pretty much his grandfather.

He didn't want to focus his entire being on getting stronger, once he enrolled at UA, he would make sure to make some friends and have some quality time with them.
